"sounds like DEI which I thought you hated"
You're not proving your point, you're just being condescending

I can mathematically understand the justification behind representation in a bicameral Congress. That's the several states coming together to fight over legislation, with the majority of Americans being weighted first and then the individual states getting equal votes after.
But it's an r-slured argument that "states" vote for the chief executive.
Imagine getting politically nerfed because of where your parents fricked and where you found a job and got married and bought a house. Once you learn who your party electors are and that they're borderline r-slurred, it makes you wonder what they're protecting you from.

Since we don't have regional politics anymore there's really no reason to have states electing senators. It should be proportional representation across the whole country like the Philippines.

We should strive to make the US more like the Philipines

This but unironically. They're actually doing more to crack down on corruption over there than we are.

California looks like a man with a fupa. Pretty apropos for a smug lecture. Lectures are pretty accurate for their memes. This isn't funny at all.

i'ts just two different things
we have equality of states > equality of individual vote
because its the states that joined this union as equals
and they're the ones electing the prezden
nothing to do with
equality of outcome > equality of opportunity (in hiring)

um yes
it literally has nothing to do with diversity, equity or inclusion
the only similarity is giving advantage to create an outcome
states should be equal in most ways, as political units, because that's why they agreed to form a union in the first place
disparate groups of people can never be equal no matter how much social engineering
in fact it's deleterious to society to prioritize forcing an outcome that has the ratio of skincolors you'd like over actual competence and performance

sure but to use the term DEI specifically and not something like their fav new term โจEquity โจ is
DEI is a specific application thereof for BIPOCS

Isnt this comment, by their own admission, saying they think DEI and affirmative action should only apply to literal millionaire presidential candidates and not actual voters?
