I've been planning on making this post for months now, but I've constantly been putting it off because of just how much shit there is to dig back up again: to briefly sum it up, there's the backstory of Aimee and her child male feminist Dad and husband, her polycule of diaper loving "babyfurs", her secretive hiring through a secret admin Groomercord that I accidentally snuck into, my initial leaks and how they spread, the resulting Streisand effect when the Reddit admins tried to shut it down, her firing, and the eventual under-reported shitshow when /r/lgbt realized that their sub's entire mod team was part of Aimee's diaperfur roleplay crew. But hey, it's 2023 now so I may as well kick off my first big effortpost of the year with probably my most successful internet hitjob ever - the firing of a notorious furry p-do Reddit admin. This all happened around early 2021, the awkward period of time where both /r/drama was dead and rdrama.net didn't exist yet so there was nowhere to share it with at the time, but I guess two years late is better than never!

Note: The pronouns of all people involved have been respected, because as we all know, someone being a horrible person doesn't give you the right to misgender them

A Brief Introduction to Aimee Challenor AKA Mucky Meerkat

Starting from the top. For the uninitiated, Aimee Challenor was a trans furry bong, failed politician and Reddit powermod who had been on the radar of many avid lolcow watchers for years prior to shit really hitting the fan. On the Reddit side of things, she went by /u/bpwpb (as in blue-pink-white-pink-blue, the colors of the trans flag ) and would at first just seem like your average Redditor with subreddits like /r/actuallesbians, /r/trans, /r/transgenderteens and (more crucially, but more on that later) /r/lgbt and /r/PAN in her mod repertoire. Her Reddit activity isn't what she was first noticed for back then though - because it turns out all is really not well in the Challenor household.

You see, separate from the rest of her online activity, Aimee had a secret furry alias known as Mucky Meerkat which if you know anything at all about furries, that name alone should raise about a dozen red flags - "muck" is furry/adult-baby slang for pooping yourself while wearing a diaper.

That's right, she would get off to doing erotic scat roleplay, specifically while playing the part of a 2 year old furry baby character. I'll save you the horrors of the more explicit screenshots, but it's confirmed that Aimee would also bring her fricked up fetish into reality and go as far as wear diapers and shit in them IRL, sometimes flat out skipping the diaper part entirely and just doing it in her pants. This doesn't even scratch the surface of the degeneracy yet to come, but it certainly sets the tone of what to expect going forward.

As it turns out, the mucky apple doesn't fall far from the shit tree, which gives a fair bit of insight into where Aimee was likely first introduced to this horrible shit. Aimee's father David Challenor also funnily enough happens to be an old-school furry, who strongly identified with Baloo from the Jungle Book to the point where he tried to change his legal name to Baloo. He also kidnapped a ten year old girl, tied her up in the attic of the family household and repeatedly r*ped her while dressed in a diaper and little girl's clothing like something straight out of Silence of the Lambs. This happened back in 2010, but it wasn't until 2015 that he became known for his crimes, and 2018 that he was finally convicted for it and sent to 22 years in prison. This had all happened while Aimee and the rest of the family were living in the same shitty council house, so there was zero chance they didn't know exactly what was happening at the time. It's also worth noting that Aimee continued hanging out with her child male feminist father even after what he did became widely public information, right up until his eventual sentencing.

Failed Political Aspirations

Despite the skeletons in her closet (or kids in her family's attic, rather), Aimee decided in 2015 that it was a good idea to begin a public political venture as part of the Green Party of England and Wales, the furthest left and most pro-trans party in mainstream UK politics. During her 3 years of membership, she was elected as the official party equality spokeswoman and wrote articles for mainstream outlets like HuffPost and The Guardian. Eventually she got cocky enough to run for the position of party deputy leader in 2018, conveniently right about when her p-do Dad was put behind bars and rumors of her sordid internet activity had already begun to circulate.

Remember how I mentioned that Aimee continued associating with her known-child male feminist father right up until he was locked away? Well turns out that she also hired him as her official campaign manager just as he was due to be sentenced a couple of months later, and this set off enough alarm bells that even the Green Party (albeit reluctantly and after sitting on it for a while) decided that Aimee was too much of a liability and y'alled her from the party. Aimee afterward ran to the BBC to pull the "you can't fire me, I quit" card, claiming the real reason she got suspended was because of... *drumroll* ...transphobia!

Not to be dissuaded, Aimee would later that year join the Liberal Democrats instead, the second-most pro trans party in mainstream UK politics - who I guess must have decided that her at this point very highly publicized scandals weren't enough of a deal breaker for them. Not to worry though, as Aimee was determined to one-up her previous p-do shenanigans, and she was removed from the party in 2019 when it came to light that she was now online-dating (and later married IRL) an open p-dophile and self-professed proud furry MAP from burgerstan known as Kharon Alpua AKA Nathan Knight, who writes graphic child erotica on DeviantArt.

She's still married to this scrote and now goes by Aimee Knight to this very day, by the way.

This was all a brief summary of everything leading up to the parts of the story I have more of a personal hand in, but all this and more is covered much more in-depth over on her Kiwi Farms OP as well as her Wikipedia page.

Reddit Hiring, and the Leak

So from this brief and very darning summary of Aimee's history thus far, one would reasonably conclude that she's dangerously tolerant of p-dophiles in her personal life at best (being very generous there) and should never be in any position of authority or important decision making. Well, apparently not the HR team at Reddit Inc., who decided that her fine mopping skills and diverse status should earn her a promotion from "doing it for free" to a full member of the admin community team! This means she would effectively have a say in how the site deals with how to process and action reports of groomers, p-dophiles and other dregs of society through channels like /r/modsupport - nothing could go wrong there, right?

This all began when she volunteered to mod the experimental streaming subreddit /r/PAN, which was Reddit's short-lived and botched attempt at building a bootleg Twitch platform within Reddit that nobody ever bothered to use - however, the few jannies that were entrusted with helping the admins on this project were granted access to a secret admin groomercord server for communication and cooperation, which meant that networking and butt-kissing to get friendly with the admins wasn't far behind. Aimee was particularly candid in this regard, and she quickly became besties with the Reddit employees involved in this project as well as senior community team members like Redtaboo. It's worth noting that the admins mainly sought out dedicated mods that weren't your typical janny i.e. Merari or N8TheGr8 who squat on 500+ subreddits, but rather active mods from smaller more niche subs - so Aimee's tireless efforts in the LGBT sphere apparently made her a perfect candidiate for this role. Overall, the server had like 10 admins and 15-20 jannies in it if I remember right, and I guess the server being a tight-knit circle of only Reddit admins and the most trusted of jannies made Aimee comfortable enough to announce on the 4th December 2020 that she had been offered a paid full-time role as part of Reddit. And thus, that's where this screenshot originates.

But now you might be wondering, if the server was so incredibly exclusive and hard to get into, and this was the only piece of evidence in existence to suggest Aimee Challenor was now a Reddit gigajanny... who could have taken this screenshot and spread it? Who was the rogue janny who knew of Aimee's past and decided to blow the whistle, where otherwise nobody would have ever found out the truth?

The answer frankly, is that I did it. As part of a completely unrelated separate gayop, I somehow accidentally stumbled into this super secret admin groomercord under an alt account that the other powerjannies foolishly mistook for a former one of their own, and when I first got that ping it didn't take long for me to realize I was sitting on top of a huge scandal. The only question was how and when to spill the beans for maximum impact, to ensure that both Reddit and Aimee went down hard for this.

As hard as it was for me to do, I decided to sit on it for a couple of months and waited for a good opportunity, since the server was so small that I was worried that leaking it too early would get me easily caught out, losing me access to any future juicy leakable information. The conversation with @justcool393 below is a smidge of evidence that the leaked screenshot is mine, the messages predating any public info about Aimee's hiring. (I censored my alt account's info here just in case I ever need it again for future tomfoolery)

After 3 months, my opportunity arose. On March 12th 2021 I got a server ping from one of the admins, alerting me to the news that Aimee had already gotten into an r-slured scuffle with the lesser jannies on her first few weeks of the job. Three days prior on March 9th, Aimee was caught printing and handing out free Reddit awards worth hundreds of dollars to her diaperfur polycule (more on them in part 2 - stay tuned!), and this was considered such serious business that a small handful of the voluntary jannies quit in protest, and Aimee herself deleted her /u/bpwpb account over it. Perfect time to spring a leak, now that the people who quit would be the prime suspects.

That same day, I made a Kiwifarms account for the sole purpose of breaking the big news, as well as revealing her new admin account handle /u/isnottheimposter - hence my fitting username and avatar. I made up the parts about it already being "well known" and that I was no longer in the server in hopes of minimizing my chances of getting my alt caught out.

The TERFS Take Notice

Whilst the Kiwis dug into this new line of information, the first instance I found of this news travelling outward was a popular TERF account on Twitter who directly lifted the screenshots and evidence and spread it to their followers on March 16th; I assume they found it by using the farms as one of their key sources of happenings.

Later that very same day, word had spread to notorious cancelled TV show writer and train hater Graham Linehan (known for Father Ted and the IT Crowd), and a brief story about Aimee's hiring was published on his substack.

And here's where the story gets interesting: at this point the news has now spread to a significantly sized audience, so rumors on Reddit itself were bound to begin spreading. Or at least they would, if any single mention of Aimee Challenor on the site didn't get your account permanently suspended. Whether this was being manually done by Aimee herself or it was some sort of automated system to protect Reddit staff from being doxed is a mystery to this day - the admins would ultimately claim it was the latter, but this is heavily disputed as many users were suspended for even alluding to it just before it blow up too much to contain. Here's an example of a poor soldier who tried getting the word out: interestingly, it looks like this guy managed to appealmaxx after all the drama was said and done, since his account is now back up.

The /r/UKPolitics Mishap

Fast forward a week to March 22nd. Aimee's assumed attempts to stifle the news on Reddit seemed to be successful so far, as the news still hadn't escaped the fringes of the web yet. That was, until Aimee once again got too cocky and decided to royally shoot herself in the foot, abusing her gigajanny powers beyond reason in an attempt to wipe clean any news of her buried political career.

Bong Redditors found that the /r/UKPolitics subreddit went private overnight, reopening the next morning on March 23rd with news that one of the head moderators had been permanently suspended for posting a mainstream rightoid newspaper article critical of the Green Party, that just happened to mention Aimee's scandals in passing. The only reason given for the suspension was "doxing", leaving the entire mod team confused and asking for answers that the admins initially neglected to provide. As luck would have it though, the answer was already published and put into the open just a couple of weeks prior, allowing the more chud-aligned UKPol mods to put two and two together and figure out Aimee was the culprit!

The UKPol mods in their statement were able to give just enough hints to let their users figure out on their own the censored identity of the Reddit employee responsible, while many non-bong tourists from SRD and /r/outoftheloop were eagerly watching on... and this was the point of no return for Aimee, her plan had backfired spectacularly. Due to a perfect storm of immaculately timed events putting a spotlight on her new role at Reddit that she tried and failed to bury, it was only a matter of hours before the Streisand effect went into full swing and entire site knew the name Aimee Challenor.

The Mass Subreddit Revolt

News rapidly spread that Reddit was censoring the name of a p-do-adjacent employee, with many other poor souls sacrificing their accounts to verify whether the rumors were true. Anecdotal evidence from moderators of multiple national subreddits seemed to suggest that their comments were not only being removed, but also manually edited to hide their contents from the sub jannies.

This only caused the situation to blow up even further beyond my wildest expectations, and before long it got impossible for the gigajannies to stop the tide of rightfully enraged Redditors. When March 24th rolled around almost every post on /r/all was to raise awareness about Aimee. Every single top post on /r/AskReddit was about Aimee. And it wasn't just the users who were furious at the admins, but all most of Reddit's jannies were too.

Kaffin AKA /u/Blank-Cheque, a dramatard-aligned powerjanny seized the opportunity to cause the maximum possible damage to Reddit and throw more gas onto the fire by spearheading an impromptu campaign to mass shutdown every subreddit until Aimee was fired, which included huge default subreddits such as /r/Fitness and /r/Music, as well as subreddits from all across the political spectrum from /r/Conservative and /r/KotakuInAction to /r/DankLeft and /r/196. /r/TheLeftCantMeme and /r/TheRightCantMeme even went dark together in an amazing sign of unity, it was honestly a beautiful sight to see. Capitulation

At this point even the mainstream media had their eye on the situation, with articles flooding out from various outlets about Aimee's hiring and the subsequent protests. In a feeble attempt to stem the bleeding, the admins released a half-assed response apologizing to the UKPol mods about the suspension, where also they make the claim that it was automated.

The admin post was also incredibly vague as to what it was even referring to with no mention of Aimee, and it got expectedly dunked on by pretty much everyone. When the protests from both users and mods showed no signs of slowing down, Spez himself was forced to come out to address the angry mob, where he announced that Aimee was no longer an employee of Reddit and gave the interesting piece of news that this supposed automated y'alling system was put in place on March 9th - right when Aimee had her initial Groomercord falling-out. In other words, if true, I couldn't have possibly timed my initial leak any better.

After this, Aimee's admin account was demopped and abandoned, and Aimee herself was never heard from again, having cemented her legacy amongst millions as a creepy babyfur p-do fricker. And would you look at that, I've just hit the maximum character limit!

If you've been living under a rock, then perhaps you haven't heard about the big scandal currently rocking the AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego ) Star Wars Army Building and Minifigure Collecting community. Allow me to summarize the relevant details:

See the photo of the box art below? It's for the hotly anticipated Lego set #75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack. But see the commander in the middle with the rangefinder? On the actual commander minifigure contained in the box the rangefinder is attached 3mm further up the helmet, in the same accessory hole that's used to clip on the other troopers' visors.

That's it, that's the issue. You wouldn't think 3mm would be a problem, but this hobby combines collecting, model-building, battlefield dioramas, , and children's toys, so it reaches levels of autism that theoretically shouldn't be possible (don't ask how I know about it ). And in the actual films, the rangefinder is lower down like in this computer-rendered box art, so people

Thus the Lego Group was forced to issue the following statement:

"Creating new sets involves a number of different teams working together in parallel, and unfortunately in this case the printed box art for 75345 features a computer render of a Phase 2 Clone Trooper helmet that doesn’t reflect the final finished physical element and positioning of the range finder on the figure.

"In the final design of the physical helmet element, the visor dictates where holes for extra attachments need to be placed for them to sit. This is slightly higher than the position where the range finder is on the render found on the 75345 box."

How does the community react? Not Impressed:

I see most comments down here are about how "people care too much about such an insignificant matter", or how others simply don't care.

As quite a hardcore Lego Star wars collector, I will say that the rangefinder placement on the helmet bothers a lot of fans, myself included. The final product looks wrong. However, I wouldn't let it detract from the set. Doesn't mean I justify it though, and a new mould for the visor along with a new visor piece to accompany it would have been ideal. After all, the rangefinder/visor attachments we have nowadays originate from about 2008 and I think it's due for an update.

They could do a mail in scheme where you can mail in your empty incorrect art box and they send you an empty one with corrected art. And they could do a recall and pulp all the unsold boxes, then rebox the parts in boxes with new box art. Or they could get retailers to put a nice big price or advertising sticker over the offending mistake.

Or we could ignore it.

On the Brighter Side:

At least it gave the Star Wars fans something to complain about on the internet, which seems to be the preferred pastime of Star Wars fans.

Finding the real issue with the art:

I'm more upset that my assembled rifle doesn't shoot lasers out of it like in the box art.

But inevitably discussion regresses to the current meta-theme of the AFOL community: price:

People criticizing the box art, when the price is the bigger issue of the set .

The original game had two creators but after one left the company the 2nd creator took it upon themselves to retcon a lot of the first game to make the original MC a heckin bad guy who is brutally murdered in front of his adopted daughter by the surprise new main character. It succeeded in turning the game narrative into culture war using LGBTQ++ as a shield with anyone disliking the game being an alt-right gigabigot similar to The Last Jedi.

As you can imagine Redditors fervently slurp up this slop, however, many people didn't quite care for the plot twist or new main character. That is because they are complicit in the Transgenocide. If you are one of these people please remember to chud yourself before reading further.

Recently TLOU was greenlit as an HBO series starring Pedro Pascal and some strange looking Brittish girl. The budget is >$100M and they got a competent director so it may turn out good, however, the remaining creator is also deeply entrenched with the TV production which has left many fans of the first game worried that the TV show will pull a revisionist history and change the plot of the 1st game to make the characters ebil bad guys for not letting Antifa-veterinarians develop a zombie vaccine via open brain surgery on daughter character. Reminder that anyone who doesn't support this is a heckin nazerino.

(As an aside it's interesting what can occur in 7 years when the original game came out Redditors were overwhelmingly in support of the original ending and the choice of the characters, fast forward 7 years of astroturfing, TDS, and antinatalism working its magic and suddenly redditors wish the MC would just kill all the children, how unusual).

It doesn't help that several snippets of interviews have come out indicating there will be plot changes and that Game #2 will most likely occur in S2. TLOU2 fans are ecstatic, TLOU1 fans less so. For those who don't keep up with boring bideo game drama the official /r/TLOU2 sub managed to stave off astroturfing and turned into a hate sub of the game where they shit all over it, similar to /r/freefolk for Game of Thrones, although with the TV show about to air more and more shills are appearing.

Speaking of Shills we have a big budget TV release coming meaning we'll get a review circuit of every major review website and wouldn't you know it UNIVERSAL PRAISE GET EXCITED TO CONSUME THIS PRODUCT.

Unsurprisingly mouth breathing redditors cannot fathom that reviewers receive any benefit for positive reviews and if such a thing to occur it SHAKE THE INDUSTRY TO ITS CORE

Where OP spends too much time in the reddit echochamber and can't fathom that terminally online redditors bleating endlessly about amazeballs the game is doesn't mean the general public liked it. You will be surprised by the amount of people I’ve met irl who hate the game simply because you are forced to kill a dog in it. Neil lying about not needing to kill the dog really pissed people off.

So, I think a lot of people associate open dislike of this game to the behavior and mindset of the trolls that came out of the woodwork after the leaks dropped. I had this assumption as well before I played the game myself. The stereotype is that those who hate on it are the same homophobic/transphobic/anti-Semitic trolls who made a lot of noise after the Abby leaks. Once I realized that I didn’t like the game, it was easier to tell apart the sincere opinions from the reactionary ones, but most people who made this association have never had a reason to challenge it.

I mean with all that and the real trolls / transphobes etc I feel it scared people into keeping their true opinions about the game to themselves. Everyone now has that mind set where it's like "Do I say something? No one else is. Whoever says something get called a troll and they are branded as racist or transphobic. You know what I'll nod my head and just say it's alright to save the arguments" Sometimes it feels like a game of chicken, people have been lead to believe that if they outright say something bad, legit criticism they will be targeted and that's the issue.

A rare bit of sensible thinking as redditors rediscover the chilling effect.

Background

With the start of the upcoming thirteenth season of Riot's classic MOBA game League of Legends tomorrow the community is split upon the argument if Riot is even actively developing new content for the game or rather dragging the game over the line relying on the success of their other popular games namely Valorant and Wild Rift or on the fantastic animated series Arcane. As recent developments in League's history featured a trite pre-season, a new provider for the very important SEA region and the departure of a beloved host (not sjokz so doesn't matter) of the LCS coupled with switching the schedule of the aforementioned professional league to a completely inaccessible time slot in the afternoon, people are concerned about the future of the game in the west. It's hard to gauge actual facts as Riot doesn't release their numbers but from the eye test alone you'd immediately come to the conclusion that League of Legends is heading south. While many people (casual and professional g*mers) have said this for a long time now, the recent developments have made things much worse and I'll tell you why:

Not officially announcing the start of the season until a couple days prior

Not following up on their promises

This headline is intentionally chosen to be opaque mainly due to the fact that I am incapable of finding all broken promises but here are some prime examples of Riot failing to deliver:

• Removing Smurf Queue: SmurfQ was a method Riot used in the previous season to combat the menace of smurfs (stronger players playing on new/stolen/friends' accounts against weaker players) in ranked games although they failed to figure out how to remove previously inactive account from this queue meaning if you were a returning player (or any other player with a high discrepancy between your MMR and your rank) you'd end up in full smurf lobbies which was an absolutely miserable experience over and over again. Some people claim it took them tens if not hundreds of games to finally be out of smurf queue and play against people on their skill level. As this was obviously not fun for either the returning players or the plethora of next Fakers in smurf queue Riot decided to just remove the system making smurfs appear in regular ranked matches again. • Failing to release the new VGU: As League of Legends is quite old now a lot of the older heroes are not capable of keeping up with the power creep of the latest releases making them obsolete and quite frankly incredibly unfun. Riot combats this by updating older heroes to new standards either via a visual or a gameplay update; sometimes even combining both of them for a visual and gameplay update. As a token of goodwill Riot offered players the choice of which hero gets this desired upgrade and the community voted for Skarner who is as one-dimensional as Salvador sperging out about the Ukranian-Russia war. I think he won the poll about a year ago but nothing has been done and the community is quite sceptical about Riot failing to deliver yet again here

• ARAM changes; All Random All Mid is a fun mode in all MOBAs in which players are assigned random heroes to battle it out in a straightforward lane without any depth or strategy. Basically the mode for casuals or people who just want to relax. However Riot updated the mode to make it incredibly unfun and players are NOT happy at all:

The game most just feels so awful now. The aram balance adjustments feel awful and the new tower falling/death times feel terrible as well. One of my favorite champions, ashe, is forced to not go adc, while Leblanc gets broken modifiers because iron players suck at her. No aram adjustment should go past 5% in my opinion. Yes some champs will be better than others but at least I don't have to scroll down a list every pre game to see what champs are currently neutered. I can't believe we didn't get nexus blitz so they could further ruin this abomination of a game mode. Goodbye aram I'd rather play weakside top lane then waste another minute wallowing in the filth that is ARAM.

'Events' nowadays are just an excuse to get players to buy an event pass. We're lucky if we get a visual novel with it.

Riot's skin philosophy seems to have shifted to "quantity over quality". This is apparent when looking at the Zenith Games skins, Battle Boss Bel'Veth, and skin lines that champions have been forced into like SG and SB.

Champion teasers are something we have to ask for nowadays. I guess Riot doesn't really care about hyping up players for champion releases anymore. But why would they if everything gets leaked anyway nowadays, right?

This year's season start cinematic was terrible. No champions, no nothing, just a render of Summoner's Rift.

Tldr

Man buys over a million cds, Vinyls, and cassettes from a failed company in an attempt to start the company over again. Abandons his family and buys and moves into a warehouse in another state in one of the most violent cities in America. Backstory

Murfie was a startup company that focused on the digitization of physical media into digital media. People would send their CDs, Vinyls, and cassettes, which the company would store in their warehouse and rip the contents onto their own platform for people to stream. Murfie even allowed people to buy and sell with other users on their platform.

During sometime during early November, the company asked all of it's current customers to make sure they renewed their current subscription before November 17th. No more than 5 days later, the company sent out an email to it's customers saying that the compnay was ceasing all operations including the website. This abrupt shutdown shocked everyone, that even that former CEO had one idea what had happened .

The situation only continued to spiral out of control. Murfies ToS had a clause that promised its customers that they would return all of their physical media in the case the company shut down (For a small shipping fee of course ), but with all of their services down, customers had no way of getting back their cassettes and cds. In total, there were close to a million CDs, cassestes, and Vinyls left somewhere in limbo. Unsurprisingly, people were soying out about this:

As far back as November last year, tragedy struck in Bumfrick, Wisconsin when an SUV crashed through an annual Christmas parade, killing six people. Unfortunately due to America being the horrifically racist country it is, instead of appropriately punishing the killer SUV responsible for the attack as reported by multiple mainsteam media outlets, they unfairly apprehended and arrested innocent PoC Darrell Brooks who just happened to be near the scene at the time - falsely accusing him of multiple counts of homicide. It wasn't until the trial got underway though in October of this year though that things really started to kick off.

Boldly deciding to represent himself in court, the trial consisted of several weeks of complete covcit style autism - here are just some of the many threads covering the trial at the time.

The tail end of the trial had a shocking twist, however; it was discovered that one of the jurors of the case had posted anonymously to a Darrell Brooks support forum, alleging judge bias and leaning toward pushing for jury nullification. Despite Darrell's best attempts however, this ultimately didn't affect the final outcome of the trial. More on that later though

After a long and entertaining trial watched live by many dramatards, Darrell Brooks was finally found guilty on all 76 counts of being black and sentenced to life in prison. This trial will have a lasting legacy for sure, and the fact that Darrell was unfairly imprisoned whilst Kylie Rittenhouse walked free will stand as a testament to just how much white supremacy has poisoned our proud and noble country.

2022 was a fantastic year for the art of baiting (just compare the entire list of nominees with those of 2021's), but one particular sneaky scheme very clearly shone above the rest in the collective hearts of all you mischief makers.

A huge group effort from many prominent dramatards, /r/Justice4Darrell was a subreddit helping to combat the vicious disinformation circulating about the Darrell Brooks trial - enraging many racist Redditors and SRDines in the process. Even if that's all the subreddit had managed to achieve, it would've been considered a victory and one of rdrama's more successful bait subs... but one faithful post brought this gay op to levels that were previously considered a mere pipe dream.

The infamous juror post caught enough outside attention that it ended up being reported on by several media outlets, and eventually made its way into the trial itself - marking the first time that this shitty gossip forum had managed to impact a national court trial being closely watched by millions all over the country. The original poster eventually panicked and gave up the game (probably the wiser if less dramatic decision, tbh), but that didn't stop Darrell himself from reading the bait post in court and unsuccessfully attempting to use it to sway things in his favor or cause a last-minute mistrial.

HeyMoon's third award in his grand sweep of this year's Drammies, this prize goes to his grand reveal that the aggressive and abrasive user known as @bbbb was actually a bot based on ChatGPT and scripted by him this entire time - proving once and for all that you're all so braindead that even a bunch of lines of code can easily replace the good majority of you losers' room temperature takes. Even though there was some suspicion prior to the big reveal, plenty of dramatard regulars took the bait hook line and sinker, even our very own Pizzashill!

If you haven't heard, winter storm Elliot fricked all the airlines, but because of the way Southwest is run they got extra gigafricked and accounted for the vast majority of flight cancellations. Here's an overview article.

The tldr is that Southwest has cancelled most of their flights and stranded people all over the country with no communication, telling people they can't even rebook flights until the 31st. They're melting down so much harder than the other airlines due to a couple factors, the biggest of which are:

1. Using a different model where flights hop directly from airport to airport with no central "hub" like most airlines use. This allows a failure at one airport to cascade across the rest of their system instead of remaining isolated.

2. Using super antiquated inefficient software to handle this different model, making it onerous to make changes. The software has to be updated manually, and this level of need for rescheduling has very quickly overwhelmed their staffing.

I had a flight yesterday from TPA, when I went to print my boarding pass at the Southwest kiosk it said my flight was cancelled. There was a huge line waiting to speak to Southwest reps, I got in the line. After about an hour of waiting a bunch of cops show up. Someone from Southwest comes out and starts yelling that flights are cancelled, there is no point waiting in line they can’t get us anywhere for days and they are offering no hotel vouchers. Yelling this at their customers who up until this point have been doing nothing but waiting in line. Guy in front of me is upset, he is stranded for 5 days, no hotel voucher. He is talking to his friend on the phone and is rightfully upset, one of the cops threatened to arrest him for swearing. THREATENED TO ARREST HIM FOR SWEARING (On the phone). The cops mad dogged this man the rest of the time he was in line, and just stood around all of us in line. Southwest called the cops on their own customers before announcing no hotel vouchers, what in the heck is happening. They put me on a flight going home Saturday. The Southwest employees helping people at the desks had no idea what was going on, they were very kind.

The Story

Yesterday, OP loads in to a PvPvE server with 3 of his friends and they decide to do some Air-to-ground strikes against AI targets. His plane of choice is the A-10 Thunderbolt II

You've probably seen this aircraft before, and probably heard someone gush about how badass it is. There's no shortage of people on the internet talking about how the aircraft was built around it's 30mm gun, how the gun goes brrrrrt , how it has titanium plating below the cockpit to protect the pilot, etc. In reality, the A-10 is hopelessly obsolete due to it's slow speed, even with modern countermeasures and the copious amounts of flares and chaff it carries. In the 80s, the US air force expected to lose all 700 of its A-10s within 2 weeks if the Cold War kicked off with the Soviets. They've been trying to retire the aircraft for over 10 years now but they've been constantly cucked by congress. Anyway what I'm trying to say is that its quite helpless against most anti-air defenses, that's why in Iraq and Afghanistan they only used it when they had air superiority.

If you have been taken and/or have been touching grass recently, online dating apps are now the way that most people meet their partners. It's essentially taken what used to be a fairly time consuming process of meeting new people through mutual interests, and condensed it into a literal digital meat market. Most apps lie on a spectrum of how much they lean into this. If you're unfamiliar, or are currently dating and out of the loop, the main players are:

• Tinder - The original swipe app. You're shown a photo album, a brief bio (usually a joke), and you can say yes or no by swiping left or right

• Bumble - Bizarre feminist version of Tinder where women have to message first. Usually slightly better quality women, but they have to make the first move in a text and women are useless at this

• OKCupid - The OG dating site, now mostly full of Filipina women looking for green cards

• Hinge - The better dating app IMO. Premium allows for some pretty strict filters (education filter set to college or higher acts almost entirely like a fat filter, it's amazing). No swipe mechanic, you have to read a profile and like something specific about them, with a message attached if you want.

OKCupid used to run a pretty great blog back in the day before they got bought out by wokies. They used to run experiments on users and then publish the results. One of the more interesting ones was where they removed the bio of people's profiles at random, and saw what happened to their match rate.

i try to have sympathy for them but at this point its very hard. i feel bad for being bothered by them, but i need to rant for a minute.

they usually order a venti or trenta water but get quite angry if we dont give it to them the second after they ordered it.

they also walk through our drive thru and ask customers for money.

sometimes they just come and stare at us through the windows or do drugs in our parking lot and our male shifts have to go scare them off.

So , SBF also ran ran a big charity giving away loads of money, only now there are charities and researchers who were promised a collective hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars that will never show. And yeah, that's really shitty for the people who were hired by that money or had received the grants and now are possibly jobless in a field which is a struggle even when there isn't an ongoing global recession, but thankfully SBF is an "Effective Altruist", which means he only supports charities that are useless and not actually beneficial to humanity as a whole.

See the Effective Altruists started out by noticing that hey, malaria nets are really cheap and really effective at stopping people from dying of malaria, if we focus our efforts here the money we donate is able to help a lot more people than if we spent it in other charities, and they did some more research and expanded into some other causes like vaccination programs and food nutrition, and they genuinely did quite a lot of good by convincing some atheists that the Muslims were putting them to shame by helping other people, and the atheists felt threatened and ended up giving an awful lot of money to helping people in impoverished countries, so good for them! But then they went full utilitarian (never go full utilitarian).

Some bright spark got up and said "hey, it costs of $3000 to save the life of some brown person on the other side of the world from a horrible death of malaria, but maybe instead we could use that $3000 to help like 50,000 chickens suffer less in factory farms, and that's worth more than saving one brown person, right?" And other people nodded along and agreed that yes, if you could help enough chickens that was more important than helping brown people so they funneled a bunch of money into giving chickens Laz-E-Bois or some equally nonsense project. And then someone else (probably a Harry Potter fanfic writer) said "hey, we can help thousands of people right now, or millions of chickens, but what if an evil AI takes over the world? If we research stopping evil AI we could potentially save billions of lives, human and chicken". So they funneled a lot of money into stopping skynet. And then the brightest of them all was like "hey, we already help save a lot of chickens from the robot apocalypse with the money we have right now, but if we research ways to get people to donate even more money to us we'll use the power of compound numbers to eventually get infinity money and help everyone". So basically all EA charities are exercises in auto-fellatio now, so if it does implode because the community decided to trust all their money to a 30-yo in the Bahamas who was playing video games while in their important zoom meetings it's ultimately no big loss to humanity.

Considering recent events, I feel that I ought to share the following:

Based on things I've heard from various people around Nonlinear, Kat and Emerson have a recent track record of conducting Nonlinear in a way inconsistent with EA values. More specifically, they have a history of mistreating their employees and interns, and of not fulfilling obligations to them, including financial obligations and mentorship they promised to provide. I have general sense that they had a pattern of taking on young, idealistic interns with poor ability to stand up for themselves and exploiting them to a standard many would consider unacceptable (e.g. manipulating them into accepting unreasonably little pay, and sometimes not following through on payment when they thought they could get away with it).

As I understand things, in July 2022 a group of Nonlinear employees and interns quit because they were unhappy with either their own treatment or the treatment of their coworkers.

I've also heard that Emerson can be retributive, and that some people around Nonlinear were scared about Emerson finding out they'd spoken badly about him. (Generally speaking, to the extent that things were bad at Nonlinear, I have the general sense that Emerson, and not Kat, was the main source of bad behavior.)

I feel quite conflicted about posting this because:

The people I've spoken to also think that Nonlinear has done a lot of good, despite their mistreatment of employees and interns. But I've recently become quite weary of this "ends justify the means"-type reasoning.

I can't share any specifics because anything specific was told to me in confidence; I also have no way of knowing whether the things I've heard were exaggerated. Additionally, a lot of what I was told I remember only vaguely.

Given that none of the people wronged spoke up, it's not clear that I should (due to concerns about the reliability of secondhand knowledge, for example).

The EA community certainly doesn't need any more drama right now.

But I decided to post anyway because I like to think that I've learned the hazards of waiting until after misbehavior is publicly revealed to write about the evidence that I had all along. Sorry for any unfortunate consequences of this comment.

On a more serious note, I don't personally know and have never worked personally with Kat or Emerson but I've been a member of one of the Nonlinear/Superlinear groomercords for some weeks now and have interacted with Drew and a few others and that place feels more or less like a family where everyone's opinion is valued and respected.

They are very open, helpful and supportive people and one of the most welcoming of all the EA communities I've been in so far (I'm quite new to EA, about three months old in the community). I've never felt any negative vibes interacting with them and I am of the strong opinion that the work being done there is highly impactful and relevant to EA.

All the same I believe "there is no smoke without fire" as they say and I believe some kind of official investigation should be made into these allegations (if possible). But I don't think this thread is the best place to discuss this issue as it distracts from the import of the original post (which would be beneficial to a lot of people in the community given the current situation of things).

The anonymous accuser should have created a different post and linked to it in a brief comment here for a more robust discussion of that issue without distracting from the original purpose of this thread.

And on the issue of forum voting, I think posters and commenters should NOT be able to vote on their own posts and comments. I believe the effects of being able to vote on one's own post/comment are net negative.
