Sorry for my relative lack of posting as of late, I've been SUPER duper busy these past few months and only really had enough time for lurking and occasionally making snide comments here and there. I recently went on a whacky drama-filled furry adventure though which coincides with a lot of juicy internet drama happening at the same time which you might all appreciate. I'll be making this a multi-part thing since so much took place in such a short amount of time - so put on your strap-ons and strap in!

And just to be crystal clear, all of the following events genuinely happened, this isn't some long-form shitpost or whatever. Because it certainly reads like one at times.

The Encounter

Set the scene: it's last Wednesday, I'm scheduled to be in the lovely city of Philadelphia for a week, primarily for boring work reasons - I was meeting with some nerd at UPenn who wanted to collaborate on a psych paper or some shit. Upon meeting this guy at the airport though, alarm bells started going off in my head right from the jump - his car was full to the brim with weird furry garbage, fox decorations, animal plushes, and not only that, there was some horrible furry/brony music playing on the radio as the cherry on top. Being the avid anti-furry researcher I am, I knew instantly what kind of situation I was in - this guy I had arranged to meet was an unironic raging homosexual furtwink.

I did my best to ignore this incredibly uncomfortable fact at first, as we drove through the historic streets of Philly and had a brief look at the Liberty Bell and all the obligatory touristy stuff. Eventually though, I had to address the elephant in the room (or car), and my suspicions were confirmed - this guy was indeed a massive gay furry, particularly the kind that fantasizes about tribal muscular wolfmen. Not only that, but he had plans to set off the next day to Anthrocon, the world's largest furry convention, which just happened to be taking place that weekend in Pittsburgh about 300 miles away. He even has the gall to suggest that I could come with him to experience IRL furry culture for myself, since it wouldn't interfere with either of our schedules. I of course think that this is a fricking terrible idea, even as I'm assured that Anthrocon is supposedly a "tame and family friendly furcon" compared to the hives of degeneracy that other conventions typically tend to be. But then, I thought - this could actually be a fantastic opportunity to be a dramatard in the field, to gather first-hand evidence of furry degeneracy right behind enemy lines where they think normies won't be watching, and possibly even get up to some mischief myself. So I begrudgingly accept his offer, and thus, that's how Marco ended up on his way to a major furry convention.

The Infiltration

After a long 7 hour drive to Pittsburgh under the smoky orange backdrop of the Canadian wildfires and the furtwink accompanying me rambling on about supreme court hearings or some shit for most of the journey, we made it to the hotel. Everything seemed eeriely normal at first, even as we checked in and made it to the room with a couple of other furtwinks that my potential research collaborator had been planning to meet there. At some point after I was putting the tallest one in a chokehold (I was already having a fight-or-flight reaction from being in a room with 3 furtwinks), cue another knock on the door - upon opening it up, we were jumpscared by a dude in one of those goofy horse masks that were all the rage a few years ago. Turns out this was our very own resident horsefricker @Publiq, who also happened to be attending and heard word that Marco was on the premises. From that point onward, he was officially part of our growing ragtag group of weirdos.

As we then made our way to the convention center (and my eyes were assaulted by a wide array of rainbow vomit fursuits filling the streets on the way), our first big problem arose - the con security were dutifully checking for con tickets and badges at the entrance, and obviously, one of us had come empty-handed. We were in a big group by now though, so we just sort of... huddled close together while everyone else flashed their badges, and while the security guy gave us the biggest stink-eye and even turned around and kept staring at us for several seconds after we squeezed through, the line was too busy for him to come chasing after us and I was officially in.

So what did I witness on my first day at this "family friendly" all-ages convention? Let's make a brief list:

>a "musk candle" stall, selling candles that are apparently meant to smell like unwashed hairy gussy and butthole

>fursuiters grinding on and groping one another right in front of everyone

>mass public vandalism

>this bimbo horse thing

>and to top it off, a cub/libertarian fur stall, with an orange cat mascot called Marci!?

To call an event like this kid-friendly and let children roam around the stalls is at best profoundly r-slurred and at worst genuinely dangerous and sickening. I mean, holy shit, this was supposed to be the most tame of the big furry conventions, the one that the furfilth defense force can point leftoid media toward so they can say "ummm we're not all degenerate dogfrickers, see?" The other cons allegedly have uglies openly fricking in the hotel lobbies, throwing used diapers around and other nonsense that you're probably familiar with by now from other first-hand tales that went viral - I don't intend to check those ones out for myself.

These people genuinely deserve all the hate that they get, and don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

The Puppeteer

Pivoting away from my own personal experience to cover a juicy happening that transpired; a large attraction for this year's largely neurodivergent attendees was supposedly this dumb puppet thing, that I'm not sure how you could be entertained by if you're over the age of eight. Seriously, if you do a quick twitter search for "anthrocon", half the posts are just videos or shitty art of this thing.

Lets take a look at the puppet's creator and puppeteer, why don't we?

To unpack, this individual is a 35 year old non-binary therian with E/Em/Eir pronouns to boot - meaning that unlike most furries whom just enjoy pretending to be animals, this person genuinely actually believes that eir're a real life animal and no longer identify as a human being, basically what FOX news and other rightoid boomers think furries are. With an audience of eir size taking em completely seriously on this, trans-species rights is sure to be the next culture war struggle and I'm all for it.

Hearth also has a null fetish NSFW account, which for the uninitiated is having a kink for a complete lack of genitalia - imagine just a smooth featureless crotch down there. While irrelevant to the rest of the post, I thought it'd be funny to include this to help paint a full picture of our main character's mental state.

A common disturbing trend with these therians however, is making the logical conclusion that since they identify as animals and not humans, then surely it can't be considered bestiality when they go frick the family dog. And that kind of drama is exactly what gets kicked off here. During the height of eir 15 minutes of furry fame, our pal Hearth really puts eir paw in it and decides to tweet in defense of eir zoophile friend's illustrated animal porn stash.

Hello! Welcome to rDrama! What follows is a brief rundown of key features and mechanics of the site to help ease users into their time here. Whether a dry, enormous wall of text is the best method of providing that is debatable, but at the very least it should serve as a handy reference material for some parties. There are no jokes or wit to be found on this page: this is strictly dry documentation.

Dramaconomy

The economy of the platform, built on a pair of proprietary fiat currencies. This economy is the foundation of the platform, and virtually all user actions are taken out of a desire for personal enrichment.

Currency

• Dramacoin (dc) - The primary currency, somewhat analogous to karma. One (1) dramacoin is awarded to a user for every vote they get on a post or comment. Upvotes and downvotes both pay 1dc, except during "double xp" events which are exactly what they sound like. Other methods of amassing dramacoin include, but are not limited to, Marsey submissions, the casino, the lottershe, hat commissions, betting threads, user exchanges, treasure chests.

• Marseybux (mb) - The premium currency. Marseybux spend exactly the same as dramacoin, with the only exceptions being the Grass Award. Marseybux are given out in tiered monthly stipends to paypigs (among other benefits) of rDrama's Gumroad. Marseybux are also the usual currency for payouts of site contests, events, and coding bounties.
  
  
  

The Shops

rDrama has two shops, which will be discussed in this section.

• Award Shop - The Award Shop is divided into three aisles: Graphical, Status Effect, and Profile Upgrade.
  Graphical awards make obnoxious graphics appear on posts. Each item includes a description of its effect, but, for example, the Wholesome award will make the Marsey variant of the Reddit Wholesome Seal (Tene) float around the screen and bounce off the walls. Applying more Wholesome awards to that thread will add more wholesome seals. All graphical awards stack (with the exception of Confetti), usually up to 5. Graphical awards also pay the recipient (unless self-awarded) 10% of the award's cost.
  Status Effects apply a status to the recipient for a set duration of time, also explained in the item description. The Ban award bans the recipient for 24 hours, the Pizzashill award requires the recipient to make their comments a minimum of 280 characters for 24 hours in honor of our long-time incel longposter @pizzashill, the Marsey award only lets the recipient type in Marsey emojis for 24 hours, and so on. Each House also has 1 House-specific award at the time of this writing, though that number will increase in the future.
  And, finally, Profile Upgrades are expensive, high-end items that will permanently improve the recipient's site experience and give them an animated profile badge related to the upgrade. This ranges from admin-tier powers such as permanent Unblockable status, the inability for people to unfollow the recipient, an unmuteable profile anthem, the ability to see users' alts, to view private profiles, and more. All dramacoin spent in the Award Shop is recorded and at certain intervals, profile badges are awarded and each tier grants the user a permanent 2% discount at the Award Shop.

• Hat Shop - The Hat Shop is an inconveniently large collection of user-submitted, Carp-approved hats that users can buy to wear on their avatar. Static hats are 500dc/mb each, animated ones are 1000dc/mb each. Hats are equipped after being purchased by pressing the "Equip" button, and an unlimited number of hats can be worn. It will cycle through them at random with each pageload. Hat designers receive 10% of the sale price for each sale of one of their designs. Purchasing hats also drives up the hat collection tally on the buyer's profile, and at certain intervals (capping at 250), users are automatically granted hat collector profile badges.
  
  
  

The Casino

Marsey's Palace, rDrama's very own digital casino, has four games at the time of this writing. Total winnings (or losses) are tracked on users' profiles, and daily as well as all-time leaderboards are found on each game's page. There are plans for more in the near-ish future, including Marsey racing, peer-to-peer poker, and craps, as well as an in-casino shop that will allow for unique skins for slot machines, custom decks of cards, and more.

• Roulette - Users bet on a variety of outcomes upon which the roulette wheel can stop, with variable payouts based on odds. Unlimited bets can be placed. Results come in every five minutes and are constant across the site.

• Blackjack - Get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Dealer stands on 17. This is not pure RNG; we use four decks and they are literally shuffled. It is not rigged and it does not learn from you. It is pure math.

• Slots - Slot machines don't require an explanation as far as I'm concerned. Odds are fixed and each spin is entirely random based on those odds, with a variety of possible combinations and payouts. A jackpot feature will be added.

• Lottershe - The lottery. Buy tickets, make the jackpot increase. One lucky user will be awarded the entire thing every 10 days, along with a profile badge indicating their immense skill.
  
  
  

Miscellaneous Economy

• Every comment a user makes has a 1:100 chance of generating a treasure chest or a mimic. Treasure awards the user 1-1000 dramacoin, mimics will steal 1-500.

• Every approved Marsey submission pays 250 dramacoin to the artist. Marseys are discussed later in this document.

• Administrators will occasionally host betting threads for sporting events, spree shooter racial identities and victim counts, election results, and drunken whims. Bets are a flat 200dc each, and all users who voted for the winning choice receive the total amount bet divided equally among them.

• Every profile has a "Send Dramacoin" and "Send Marseybux" button and users frequently solicit goods and services in exchange for currency.

• There are, somewhat obviously, other minor ways in which currency is earned and spent, but those are relative edge cases and will be mentioned as necessary throughout this document.
  
  
  
  

User Experience

Profile/Identity

Users have robust customization options, for both their chosen outward "aesthetic" and for their own personal site experience. This section deals with the first tab of the Settings Page.

• Theme - Users can select from a number of starkly different and visually pleasing themes, from the retro Win98, to the retrofuture Tron, to the simple yet elegant Coffee and Dramblr to 4chan and beyond.

• Background - Users have the option to set a background to fill the whitespace should they so choose, either one of many preset backgrounds, or, for paypigs, the ability to upload their own. These can be either static or animated.

• House - Users have the option of joining one of four rDrama Houses, which will be discussed later in this document.

• Profile Picture - The user's avatar or "pfp" - self-explanatory. This can be animated or static.

• Banner - Also self-explanatory. The banner at the top of a user's profile and the popout module when their name is clicked. Static or animated.

• Username - Users have the ability to change their username at any time and at no cost. The original username is always reserved to them. The next field allows for customizing the color of one's username.

• Pronouns - In the interest of maximum inclusivity, rDrama allows for users to set any pronouns they desire in this field. Pronouns cap at 5 characters each, but if one has a specific neopronoun that is longer, administrative exceptions can be made.

• Flair - A short message that appears beside your name, maximum of 100 characters. Site emojis and regular emojis are allowed and encouraged. The next flair allows for choosing the color of one's flair.

• Profile Anthem - A song that autoplays on a user's profile. This can be done by simply inputting a YouTube URL, or via direct MP3 upload.

• Bio - Self-explanatory. Tell the website about yourself, or insult them.

• Friends and Enemies - Perhaps even more self-explanatory. Tell the world who you love and hate. Users are notified if they are listed as a friend or an enemy.

• Signature - A paypig-only feature, and a throwback to the forums of yesteryear.

• Private Mode - Hide your post history from both search engines and other users. Users with the All-Seeing Eye profile upgrade can see through this.

• Spider - A friendly spider will crawl across your screen when you are browsing rDrama.

• Filters - Users can disable both slurs and profanity should they so choose. rDrama shibboleths will also automatically replace a number of words and terms with the Slur Filter enabled. Both are enabled by default and disabling them is discouraged so as not to take the internet so seriously.
  
  
  

In-Depth Experience

• Advanced Settings - Users also have access to a number of customization options for browsing and off-site links via the Advanced Settings Page, such as Reddit and Twitter replacers (i.e. reveddit, unddit, nitter, etc.), the number of threads per page, the ability to disable the flashier graphical effects here for lower-end hardware, and so on. Each option is explained in full on the Advanced Settings Page and will not be repeated here.

• Custom CSS - From the CSS Page, users can add custom CSS to both their profile for all users to truly make it their own, and edit the site's CSS itself for their local viewing experience.
  
  
  

Badges

rDrama users have a particular fondness for collecting Profile Badges - small graphics indicating an achievement, contributing art to the site, highly visible bait, being featured in news articles, participation in an event, an admin's lust for them, and other such things. A full list of badges can be found here. New badges are issued relatively often and displayed at all times on the popout profile module, and user profiles themselves.

Leaderboards

The Leaderboards can be accessed via the Trophy icon in the topnav on desktop, or bottomnav on mobile. Users can see where they stack up against their digital peers in a growing number of categories. There is currently no benefit to Leaderboard placement beyond bragging rights, but this is planned to change in the future.

Markdown/Posting

Users have a number of options to visually spruce up their posts as well as adding interesting mechanics to them. These can be found under any comment or thread entry field by clicking "Formatting help". This document will provide an overview of common actions. Users familiar with Reddit markdown will be aware of a number of these already.

• Bold/Italics - Surrounding text with ** on each side will make it bold, and * on each side will italicize it. For example: **bold** *italics* would show as bold italics.

• Linebreaks - Users can add extra linebreaks to post with standard HTML by typing <BR>. Pressing the Enter/Return key will only result in a single linebreak.

• Hyperlinks - Links can be added to a thread or comment via HTML, or with markdown like this: [This will link to Google](https://google.com) will appear as This will link to Google.

• Media - Pictures and videos can be included in threads and comments as well, in two different ways. The simplest way is to just upload the media directly to the post via the Photo icon underneath the text entry field. Third-party media can be embedded with markdown as follows: https://imgur.com/example.png Note the exclamation point in the beginning, the empty brackets, and the image hotlink in the parentheses. YouTube URLs and Imgur URLs will automatically embed the media without any markdown, however.

• Patting - Users have the option of giving a reassuring fondling to their peers. For example, if one wishes to pat the writer of this documentation, one would simply type :@carpathianfloristpat:. It is always just colon, at sign, username, with pat at the end, followed by another colon. This will appear as .

• Polls - Users can include polls in their threads and comments by surrounding poll options, each on their own line, with either && or $$. The ampersand is single-choice, the dollar sign is multiple choice. Poll option formatting would be $$Choice A$$ and so on to allow for users to choose "Choice A" along with other choices, or &&Choice A&& to restrict users to only one choice.

• Headers - Users can include headers or large text of varying sizes by including one or several hashtags/number signs at the beginning of the line, followed by a space. Sizes range from 1-6, with 1 being the largest, 6 being the smallest. So for a very large header, one would put the following text on its own line: # Large header whereas for a smaller header, one could do ### Smaller header or ##### Even smaller header.

• Spoilers - Spoilers can be hidden by surrounding text with two absolute value signs on each side. The author of this document was going to include an example, but codeblock markdown doesn't play nicely with spoiler markdown.

• Pings - Users can ping one another in the expected manner, by simply typing @username which will notify the user as well as link to their profile.

• Ping Groups - Ping Groups are groups of users who can be pinged by typing !pinggroupname to notify everyone in that Ping Group. Existing Ping Groups can be joined or browsed from the sidebar, or by clicking here. So, for example, to ping every member of the Chuds Ping Groups, one would simply type !chuds which will appear as !chuds and notify every member that they have been mentioned. Pinging Ping Groups which one is not a member of costs 5dc per recipient and pays it to them in order to minimize spam.

• RNG features - rDrama has taken and improved 4chan's greentext and #fortune commands, while also adding #roll and #factcheck. Users can get their fortune, roll a four-digit number, or factcheck a post by adding the requisite command anywhere in their thread or comment.
  
  
  
  

Holes

Holes are rDrama's equivalent of subreddits, and the author of this document has a tremendously low opinion of them.

• Cost - Holes cost 50,000dc to create.

• Expiration - If a Hole has no new posts in any 7-day period, it is automatically deleted. There are no refunds. The creator is, however, granted the rare Hole Neglecter badge.

• Subscribing - In order to subscribe to a Hole, users must navigate to the Hole itself (/h/toomanyxchromosomes, for example) and click "Follow Hole" at the top of the page. This will notify the user when a new thread is posted there. One can then unsubscribe by pressing the Unsubscribe button that it will change to.

• Restricted Holes - Some Holes are restricted by default, meaning one must opt into them (above) for their posts to be visible. All Hole owners have the option to restrict their Holes, though some such as /h/chudrama, are both restricted and gated behind a 1488 Truescore (total votes received) requirement.

• Aesthetics - Hole moderators and owners can change everything about their Hole, from the CSS for all users, to the Marsey at the top of the page, to the sidebar image, and more. A battery of custom @Snappy quotes is available on request.

• Moderation - As would be expected, Hole owners can appoint moderators, and these moderators can exile people from the Hole. Un-Holed posts can be moved to the Hole by reporting them with /h/HOLENAME, and posts can be removed from a hole by a moderator reporting the post with /h/.
  
  
  
  

Holigays & Events

rDrama has events, both recurring and one-off, which change the site in varying ways. These include, but are not limited to, double XP (2x coins per vote received), event-specific banners, forced themes and soundtracks, limited time cosmetic awards, a badge for all existing users commemorating the event, and more. A list of some rDrama Holigays follows.

• Homoween - rDrama's first ever Holigay, runs throughout the month of October. Homoween is a big deal. A sitewide playlist plays on every page, the layout is completely redone with a dynamic banner that changes as the big day draws near, there are around a dozen seasonal awards, new badges are everywhere, and as of Homoween '22 there is the beloved ZIPOCalypse game in which Zombies battle the Vaxxmaxxed.

• Fistmas - Christmas! Another big one, similar to Homoween in terms of temporary features, although Christmas-themed instead of horror-themed. Runs throughout December.

• New Queers - Immediately following Fistmas is the New Queers bash. User-submitted yearly banners, double XP, and discounts on celebratory graphic awards.

• Donkey Kong December - Runs every year from April 2nd to May 9th. Browse rDrama with a custom Donkey Kong playlist, special awards, DK-specific art and more.

• Black History Month - Users who aren't confirmed Black are required to buy an N-Word Pass from the Item Shop in order to be able to say nigger. N-Word Pass proceeds are paid to confirmed Black users at the end of the month as reparations. POC-themed banners also replace the usual roster.

• rDrama's Birthgay Bash - Every year in May, rDrama celebrates its birthday. New, permanent celebratory awards are released, a commemorative badge is issued to all users, and Double XP coupled with shop discounts ensures visual chaos.

• The Gaythering of the Juggalos - rDrama proudly stands with los and lettes around the world and is down with the clown until we are six feet in the ground, ninja. Expect Double XP, Dark Carnival-themed usernames, and clown banners.

• Future - Future Holigays are planned to be added to the roster as available man hours dictate. These include, but are not limited to: a week celebrating /u/Bardfinn's birthday, Ramadan (Ramranchadan), Thanksgiving (Spanksgiving), May Day (May Gay, an LGBT-themed communist event), and an unnamed Fourth of July event.
  
  
  
  

Art As A Feature

The full rDrama experience is built on user-submitted art in three primary categories. This section will address that content.

Marseys - Marsey is that adorable orange-and-white cat you have surely noticed all over the place by now. There are over 2,000 variants of Marsey in emoji form usable across the site, and countless hundreds of others in our banners and sidebar images. Artistically inclined users are strongly encouraged to create their own Marseys and submit them via the Marsey Submission Form with a name and tags (in order to be easily found when using the Emoji Picker). Marsey Artists get a profile badge for their first, tenth, and hundredth approved Marsey. Holigay-themed Marseys during their respective events also earn a unique badge for that event that year.

Banners - The long, horizontal image at the top of every page announcing where on the internet the viewer is: rDrama.net. Users are encouraged to create and submit their own banners by uploading them here. Chudrama

rDrama, while a self-proclaimed “fun speech” rather than “free speech” platform does seek to allow established members to express whatever legal opinions they desire. Upon reaching 100 truescore, /h/chudrama is accessible and can be added to a user's main feed and notifications via the Unblock button at the top of the page. In Chudrama, any opinion goes. The slur filter is disabled, the Chud Award and admin-imposed Chud status effect both do not apply and users cannot be labeled chuds via content in Chudrama. Viewer discretion is advised.

Houses

As with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, rDrama users have the chance to join one of four unique Houses. These are, in no particular order: Vampire, Furry, Racist, and Femboy. At the time of this writing, House functionality is fairly limited although there are plans to significantly expand it. Current features and a few upcoming ones are detailed below.

• House Icon - Members of each House have a small icon beside their username indicating their allegiance. Founders of each House (i.e. all of the original members at inception) have the same icon but with a crown above it. Changing Houses removes the crown.

• House-Specific Awards - Each House currently has access to one (1) award unique to that house which will cause a thematically appropriate status effect to the recipient for a period of time. More House-specific awards are planned, but ihatecodersihatecodersihatecodersihatecodersihatecoders development is on hold due to a temporary manpower shortage.

• House Cup - Borrowing further from the Wizarding World, the rDrama Houses will soon be locked into a fierce competition for seasonal supremacy. Details to be announced as development time permits.

• Sorting Ceremony - A Sorting Hat-style quiz is in the works for users upon account creation which will automatically sort them into the most fitting house.
  
  
  
  

Chat

rDrama has a native chat feature in development and currently in a usable, though user-neglected state. Chat is accessed via the chat icon (topnav on desktop, bottomnav on mobile), or by visiting https://rdrama.net/chat. Occasionally, during big real-world events such as sports championships and high profile court cases, chat will be converted into an Orgy in which the event in question is streamed and as users watch and comment together on events as they play out. Contrasted to regular chat, Orgies typically see triple-digit turnout. New features are in the works for chat as a whole, although at present, this requires a dev proficient in React, which rDrama lacks.

Moderation

While rDrama is by no means a free speech platform, it does strive to eradicate the contemporary internet-wide problem of incompetent and abusive moderators.

• Modlog - All moderator actions are logged and publicly visible to all members, accessible at https://rdrama.net/log. Users can sort by moderator, by action, and by action taken by a specific moderator. rDrama prides itself on holding unpaid internet janitors accountable for their actions.

• Banned Users - A full list of banned users can also be accessed from that page, including username, date of ban, duration of ban, and the moderator responsible. Unban Awards from the shop lower the duration of both user- and moderator-imposed bans by 24 hours each.

A record of all historical posts in some of rDrama's subreddits pre-migration can be accessed at https://rdrama.net/archives. Currently, this consists of /r/drama, /r/deuxrama, /r/dosrama, /r/zweirama and /r/dtama along with the full logs of the 2021 NNN Reddit powermod Discord server that rDrama compromised and leaked. Additional subs can be added provided there is sufficient interest.

Source

rDrama is free and open source and a staunch supporter of open source software in general. After being banned from GitHub, the repo was moved to rDrama's own Gitea instance at https://fsdfsd.net/rDrama/rDrama. Users are welcome and encouraged to submit their own changes and to peruse the source at their leisure.

Changelog

It is recommended that users visit /h/changelog and press the bell button at the top to follow it, as substantial updates and changes are logged there for user visibility and as a means of soliciting feedback from the community.
As of 25 April 2023, changelog entries are now recorded in this thread, to which users can subscribe for realtime updates. Less substantial changes are logged here, contrasted to the former /h/changelog Hole in which only fairly large updates were posted.

Mass Casualty Event Events

rDrama leans heavily into coping with the incomprehensibly tragic absurdity of modernity by making sport of it whenever possible. Mass casualty events—typically spree shootings and their inevitable rapid politicization—are thus the subject of routine administrator-hosted betting threads as to the identity and/or motive of the perpetrator, allowing for users to profit from the tragedy while chronicling and later ridiculing the wild speculation across social media and the American news cycle in the immediate, chaotic aftermath of the event. The default template of options and a brief explanation of the rules can be accessed here, for reference.

Hello hello my cuties!

I've been planning on making this post for months now, but I've constantly been putting it off because of just how much shit there is to dig back up again: to briefly sum it up, there's the backstory of Aimee and her child male feminist Dad and husband, her polycule of diaper loving "babyfurs", her secretive hiring through a secret admin Groomercord that I accidentally snuck into, my initial leaks and how they spread, the resulting Streisand effect when the Reddit admins tried to shut it down, her firing, and the eventual under-reported shitshow when /r/lgbt realized that their sub's entire mod team was part of Aimee's diaperfur roleplay crew. But hey, it's 2023 now so I may as well kick off my first big effortpost of the year with probably my most successful internet hitjob ever - the firing of a notorious furry libertarian Reddit admin. This all happened around early 2021, the awkward period of time where both /r/drama was dead and rdrama.net didn't exist yet so there was nowhere to share it with at the time, but I guess two years late is better than never!

Note: The pronouns of all people involved have been respected, because as we all know, someone being a horrible person doesn't give you the right to misgender them

A Brief Introduction to Aimee Challenor AKA Mucky Meerkat

Starting from the top. For the uninitiated, Aimee Challenor was a trans furry bong, failed politician and Reddit powermod who had been on the radar of many avid lolcow watchers for years prior to shit really hitting the fan. On the Reddit side of things, she went by /u/bpwpb (as in blue-pink-white-pink-blue, the colors of the trans flag ) and would at first just seem like your average Redditor with subreddits like /r/actuallesbians, /r/trans, /r/transgenderteens and (more crucially, but more on that later) /r/lgbt and /r/PAN in her mod repertoire. Her Reddit activity isn't what she was first noticed for back then though - because it turns out all is really not well in the Challenor household.

You see, separate from the rest of her online activity, Aimee had a secret furry alias known as Mucky Meerkat which if you know anything at all about furries, that name alone should raise about a dozen red flags - "muck" is furry/adult-baby slang for pooping yourself while wearing a diaper.

That's right, she would get off to doing erotic scat roleplay, specifically while playing the part of a 2 year old furry baby character. I'll save you the horrors of the more explicit screenshots, but it's confirmed that Aimee would also bring her fricked up fetish into reality and go as far as wear diapers and shit in them IRL, sometimes flat out skipping the diaper part entirely and just doing it in her pants. This doesn't even scratch the surface of the degeneracy yet to come, but it certainly sets the tone of what to expect going forward.

As it turns out, the mucky apple doesn't fall far from the shit tree, which gives a fair bit of insight into where Aimee was likely first introduced to this horrible shit. Aimee's father David Challenor also funnily enough happens to be an old-school furry, who strongly identified with Baloo from the Jungle Book to the point where he tried to change his legal name to Baloo. He also kidnapped a ten year old girl, tied her up in the attic of the family household and repeatedly r*ped her while dressed in a diaper and little girl's clothing like something straight out of Silence of the Lambs. This happened back in 2010, but it wasn't until 2015 that he became known for his crimes, and 2018 that he was finally convicted for it and sent to 22 years in prison. This had all happened while Aimee and the rest of the family were living in the same shitty council house, so there was zero chance they didn't know exactly what was happening at the time. It's also worth noting that Aimee continued hanging out with her child male feminist father even after what he did became widely public information, right up until his eventual sentencing.

Failed Political Aspirations

Despite the skeletons in her closet (or kids in her family's attic, rather), Aimee decided in 2015 that it was a good idea to begin a public political venture as part of the Green Party of England and Wales, the furthest left and most pro-trans party in mainstream UK politics. During her 3 years of membership, she was elected as the official party equality spokeswoman and wrote articles for mainstream outlets like HuffPost and The Guardian. Eventually she got cocky enough to run for the position of party deputy leader in 2018, conveniently right about when her libertarian Dad was put behind bars and rumors of her sordid internet activity had already begun to circulate.

Remember how I mentioned that Aimee continued associating with her known-child male feminist father right up until he was locked away? Well turns out that she also hired him as her official campaign manager just as he was due to be sentenced a couple of months later, and this set off enough alarm bells that even the Green Party (albeit reluctantly and after sitting on it for a while) decided that Aimee was too much of a liability and y'alled her from the party. Aimee afterward ran to the BBC to pull the "you can't fire me, I quit" card, claiming the real reason she got suspended was because of... *drumroll* ...transphobia!

Not to be dissuaded, Aimee would later that year join the Liberal Democrats instead, the second-most pro trans party in mainstream UK politics - who I guess must have decided that her at this point very highly publicized scandals weren't enough of a deal breaker for them. Not to worry though, as Aimee was determined to one-up her previous libertarian shenanigans, and she was removed from the party in 2019 when it came to light that she was now online-dating (and later married IRL) an open libertarian and self-professed proud furry MAP from burgerstan known as Kharon Alpua AKA Nathan Knight, who writes graphic child erotica on DeviantArt.

She's still married to this scrote and now goes by Aimee Knight to this very day, by the way.

This was all a brief summary of everything leading up to the parts of the story I have more of a personal hand in, but all this and more is covered much more in-depth over on her Kiwi Farms OP as well as her Wikipedia page.

Reddit Hiring, and the Leak

So from this brief and very darning summary of Aimee's history thus far, one would reasonably conclude that she's dangerously tolerant of libertarians in her personal life at best (being very generous there) and should never be in any position of authority or important decision making. Well, apparently not the HR team at Reddit Inc., who decided that her fine mopping skills and diverse status should earn her a promotion from "doing it for free" to a full member of the admin community team! This means she would effectively have a say in how the site deals with how to process and action reports of groomers, libertarians and other dregs of society through channels like /r/modsupport - nothing could go wrong there, right?

This all began when she volunteered to mod the experimental streaming subreddit /r/PAN, which was Reddit's short-lived and botched attempt at building a bootleg Twitch platform within Reddit that nobody ever bothered to use - however, the few jannies that were entrusted with helping the admins on this project were granted access to a secret admin groomercord server for communication and cooperation, which meant that networking and butt-kissing to get friendly with the admins wasn't far behind. Aimee was particularly candid in this regard, and she quickly became besties with the Reddit employees involved in this project as well as senior community team members like Redtaboo. It's worth noting that the admins mainly sought out dedicated mods that weren't your typical janny i.e. Merari or N8TheGr8 who squat on 500+ subreddits, but rather active mods from smaller more niche subs - so Aimee's tireless efforts in the LGBT sphere apparently made her a perfect candidiate for this role. Overall, the server had like 10 admins and 15-20 jannies in it if I remember right, and I guess the server being a tight-knit circle of only Reddit admins and the most trusted of jannies made Aimee comfortable enough to announce on the 4th December 2020 that she had been offered a paid full-time role as part of Reddit. And thus, that's where this screenshot originates.

But now you might be wondering, if the server was so incredibly exclusive and hard to get into, and this was the only piece of evidence in existence to suggest Aimee Challenor was now a Reddit gigajanny... who could have taken this screenshot and spread it? Who was the rogue janny who knew of Aimee's past and decided to blow the whistle, where otherwise nobody would have ever found out the truth?

The answer frankly, is that I did it. As part of a completely unrelated separate gayop, I somehow accidentally stumbled into this super secret admin groomercord under an alt account that the other powerjannies foolishly mistook for a former one of their own, and when I first got that ping it didn't take long for me to realize I was sitting on top of a huge scandal. The only question was how and when to spill the beans for maximum impact, to ensure that both Reddit and Aimee went down hard for this.

As hard as it was for me to do, I decided to sit on it for a couple of months and waited for a good opportunity, since the server was so small that I was worried that leaking it too early would get me easily caught out, losing me access to any future juicy leakable information. The conversation with @justcool393 below is a smidge of evidence that the leaked screenshot is mine, the messages predating any public info about Aimee's hiring. (I censored my alt account's info here just in case I ever need it again for future tomfoolery)

After 3 months, my opportunity arose. On March 12th 2021 I got a server ping from one of the admins, alerting me to the news that Aimee had already gotten into an r-slured scuffle with the lesser jannies on her first few weeks of the job. Three days prior on March 9th, Aimee was caught printing and handing out free Reddit awards worth hundreds of dollars to her diaperfur polycule (more on them in part 2 - stay tuned!), and this was considered such serious business that a small handful of the voluntary jannies quit in protest, and Aimee herself deleted her /u/bpwpb account over it. Perfect time to spring a leak, now that the people who quit would be the prime suspects.

That same day, I made a Kiwifarms account for the sole purpose of breaking the big news, as well as revealing her new admin account handle /u/isnottheimposter - hence my fitting username and avatar. I made up the parts about it already being "well known" and that I was no longer in the server in hopes of minimizing my chances of getting my alt caught out.

The TERFS Take Notice

Whilst the Kiwis dug into this new line of information, the first instance I found of this news travelling outward was a popular TERF account on Twitter who directly lifted the screenshots and evidence and spread it to their followers on March 16th; I assume they found it by using the farms as one of their key sources of happenings.

Later that very same day, word had spread to notorious cancelled TV show writer and train hater Graham Linehan (known for Father Ted and the IT Crowd), and a brief story about Aimee's hiring was published on his substack.

And here's where the story gets interesting: at this point the news has now spread to a significantly sized audience, so rumors on Reddit itself were bound to begin spreading. Or at least they would, if any single mention of Aimee Challenor on the site didn't get your account permanently suspended. Whether this was being manually done by Aimee herself or it was some sort of automated system to protect Reddit staff from being doxed is a mystery to this day - the admins would ultimately claim it was the latter, but this is heavily disputed as many users were suspended for even alluding to it just before it blow up too much to contain. Here's an example of a poor soldier who tried getting the word out: interestingly, it looks like this guy managed to appealmaxx after all the drama was said and done, since his account is now back up.

The /r/UKPolitics Mishap

Fast forward a week to March 22nd. Aimee's assumed attempts to stifle the news on Reddit seemed to be successful so far, as the news still hadn't escaped the fringes of the web yet. That was, until Aimee once again got too cocky and decided to royally shoot herself in the foot, abusing her gigajanny powers beyond reason in an attempt to wipe clean any news of her buried political career.

Bong Redditors found that the /r/UKPolitics subreddit went private overnight, reopening the next morning on March 23rd with news that one of the head moderators had been permanently suspended for posting a mainstream rightoid newspaper article critical of the Green Party, that just happened to mention Aimee's scandals in passing. The only reason given for the suspension was "doxing", leaving the entire mod team confused and asking for answers that the admins initially neglected to provide. As luck would have it though, the answer was already published and put into the open just a couple of weeks prior, allowing the more chud-aligned UKPol mods to put two and two together and figure out Aimee was the culprit!

The UKPol mods in their statement were able to give just enough hints to let their users figure out on their own the censored identity of the Reddit employee responsible, while many non-bong tourists from SRD and /r/outoftheloop were eagerly watching on... and this was the point of no return for Aimee, her plan had backfired spectacularly. Due to a perfect storm of immaculately timed events putting a spotlight on her new role at Reddit that she tried and failed to bury, it was only a matter of hours before the Streisand effect went into full swing and entire site knew the name Aimee Challenor.

The Mass Subreddit Revolt

News rapidly spread that Reddit was censoring the name of a libertarian-adjacent employee, with many other poor souls sacrificing their accounts to verify whether the rumors were true. Anecdotal evidence from moderators of multiple national subreddits seemed to suggest that their comments were not only being removed, but also manually edited to hide their contents from the sub jannies.

This only caused the situation to blow up even further beyond my wildest expectations, and before long it got impossible for the gigajannies to stop the tide of rightfully enraged Redditors. When March 24th rolled around almost every post on /r/all was to raise awareness about Aimee. Every single top post on /r/AskReddit was about Aimee. And it wasn't just the users who were furious at the admins, but all most of Reddit's jannies were too.

Kaffin AKA /u/Blank-Cheque, a dramatard-aligned powerjanny seized the opportunity to cause the maximum possible damage to Reddit and throw more gas onto the fire by spearheading an impromptu campaign to mass shutdown every subreddit until Aimee was fired, which included huge default subreddits such as /r/Fitness and /r/Music, as well as subreddits from all across the political spectrum from /r/Conservative and /r/KotakuInAction to /r/DankLeft and /r/196. /r/TheLeftCantMeme and /r/TheRightCantMeme even went dark together in an amazing sign of unity, it was honestly a beautiful sight to see. Capitulation

At this point even the mainstream media had their eye on the situation, with articles flooding out from various outlets about Aimee's hiring and the subsequent protests. In a feeble attempt to stem the bleeding, the admins released a half-assed response apologizing to the UKPol mods about the suspension, where also they make the claim that it was automated.

The admin post was also incredibly vague as to what it was even referring to with no mention of Aimee, and it got expectedly dunked on by pretty much everyone. When the protests from both users and mods showed no signs of slowing down, Spez himself was forced to come out to address the angry mob, where he announced that Aimee was no longer an employee of Reddit and gave the interesting piece of news that this supposed automated y'alling system was put in place on March 9th - right when Aimee had her initial Groomercord falling-out. In other words, if true, I couldn't have possibly timed my initial leak any better.

After this, Aimee's admin account was demopped and abandoned, and Aimee herself was never heard from again, having cemented her legacy amongst millions as a creepy babyfur libertarian fricker. And would you look at that, I've just hit the maximum character limit!

ONE: rDrama actually has an extremely robust slur and profanity filter, which users can toggle on and off. Both are on by default and on for logged out users. Like see here? BIPOC. That is THE N WORD. I typed the N word. But it will appear for you as "BIPOC" - there's a LOT of these, both for actual abusive language and for just cheeky things, like Discord being changed to groomcord and such.

TWO: We actually have native support for multiple communities! You can see this both here and on http://watchpeopledie.tv. Here they're called Holes and function much like subreddits, but with way more features. They're user-created and user-run. For example: /h/toomanyxchromosomes (women ☕) and /h/slackernews (tech stuff). On WPD, they function differently and they're just called Flairs and they're used for categorizing content for easy access and/or filtering. WPD's are admin-created and admin-run.

Last time I was covering the sinking of the Oceanos, where a cowardly captain attempted to flee a sinking ship from the South-Eastern shores of South-Africa, and where heroic gigachad passengers stepped up to the occasion to save their fellows during an extreme storm.

Well I was made aware of a similar situation which had occurred upon the shores of South-Korea, where another cowardly captain and crew literally jumped ship to save themselves at the expense of their charges. This time however, the outcome would be substantially more grim, whereas the Oceanos rescue was a stunning success which resulted in the saving of literally every single passenger with zero fatalities, the sinking of the Sewol Ferry was horrific, resulting in over 300 deaths, most of them school-children as a school trip was booked to an island off of the coast of Korea during that unfortunate day.

The Sewol Ferry sinking is also SUBSTANTIALLY more dramatic and absolutely r-slurred than the sinking of the Oceanos, because of the unbelievably absurd degree of preventability there was involved in the needless loss o life, and the systemic levels of ineptitude shown by literally every single government body/agency and individual involved.

When I first researched this unholy shitshow this weekend, I would binge every single youtube video made by foreign Press regarding the event, and I had thought to myself: hey these are pretty good mini flash-documentaries covering the events of this absurd manmade neglect disaster, (here are some of the 1st documentaries I viewed)

And on and on, there are like 10 or 12 of these documentaries by youtubers or news organizations which cover various aspects of the disaster, the shitty rescue attemps, and the aftermath:

Dramatards, the depth of depravity, incompetence and stupidity involved in this disaster is near bottomless, it's lower than shark-shit shade at the bottom of the sea abyss.

Like just one of these 25-50 minute documentaries simply didn't capture the absolute 3rd world response that the Korean coast guard, and all authorities involved had regarding the greatest non-rescue ever in modernity.

WHAT IS THE SEWOL FERRY:

The Sewol Ferry was a passenger and cargo transport ship which made 3 trips per week from the harbor of Incheon to the Island of Jeju - with each one-way 425 kilometres trip, taking about 13.5 hours to complete.

The Sewol would frequent Teju Island, the largest of South Korea's islands, and a popular tourist destination for Koreans themselves. Teju island has been described as the Hawaii of SK.

Teju is that big island directly South of SK. The Sewol would take trips between the island and the western coast of SK, meaning the children onboard would constantly be within range of cellphone service of the mainland. While the 13-14 hour trip is long, the ship is outfitted like a cruise ship. While not nearly as luxurious as the Oceanos, it was still a ship with many amenities and comfort. There were dorm rooms, bunk beds and convenience stores, so for high-schooler standards, this was living the high life.

DATE OF DISASTER: 16 April 2014, Wednesday.

The Ferry would be boarded at approximately 9:pm on 15 April 2014 (at night), but the disaster would not strike until the trip was almost over, and the ferry was near Teju island 12 hours later. The idea was that the the students would sleep during the long boring journey, eat breakfast, and basically arrive at the Island at about 9-11AM.

At the moment of disaster, there had been 476 passengers onboard the Sewol Ferry. Most of those were High-School students, with most of those high-schoolers being from the same school, the reason being that they were on an annual field-trip organized by that school. It is because there were so many highschool students simultaneously on the same ship booked, that parents were alarmed that many of them were bombarded with abnormal and cryptic messages from their children declaring their love for their parents or shouting their peril at the ship capsizing.

It is this moment which had made the Sewol Ferry sinking especially famous internationally - that parents of these schoolchildren, told them to follow the guidance and instructions of the crew and authorities. The korean words for "Do what they say" would become a famous negative-meme, meaning that instead of a joke a lot of koreans after this disaster would discuss this event, and the implications that korean culture had upon the extreme discipline in which korean youth were expected to obey their parents, their elders and all authority figures. Korean youth would "negative-meme" this phrase of "do as they say" whenever discussion would arrive about whether it was a neccessity to docilly obey authority and elders in all matters of life.

The reason this moment and this negative-meme of "do as they say" has such particular resonance with modern koreans, is that effectively that all those passengers, and especially school students who obeyed the following demented commands of the cowardly Sewol captain would end up drowning; and all those who disobeyed, would end up alive and rescued. This is especially galling considering that a similar event occurred in 13 Feb 2003, when a subway train caught fire, and the moronic and cowardly conductor would order his passengers to stay put, in wait of rescue, when, and you guys guessed it, the conductor himself fled for his life just like the cowardly Sewol Ferry captain would! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daegu_subway_fire

Even worse still, amongst the found footage of those who drowned, were cellphone footage of students discussing their doubts about the unease they felt in obeying the captain's orders of staying put - and that they verbally expressed their instinctual fear that the similarity to the Daegu subway disaster in which only those who disobeyed demented orders were the one who survived - and yet still was their compulsion to obey seniority that they still were amongst those who drowned.

For the parents, this would be especially traumatizing and they would mention to foreign and local interviews the incredible guilt they felt for telling their children to obey authorities, not realizing that their faith in the crew and gov authorities were misplaced due to the following peerless levels of ineptitude. Haggard looking korean parents would express remorse for not telling their dead children to ignore stupid orders, and flee for the top of the ship, instead of remaining in their cabins as the Captain of the Sewol had ordered all passengers, before the frick himself would GTFO from the ship.

SOME ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

It's important to note that he Sewol Ferry is more cargo ship, than passenger liner. Apparently 75% of profit was made from transporting trucks to Teju island and back, with ferrying passengers as a side-gig effectively. (Don't worry we'll get to this image later )

But the point is that it wasn't just school students on this specific trip, there were other passengers going to Teju island on their own honeymoons or whatever, and a lot of truck drivers whom would get off of the dock at Teju, them come back at the end of their routes to continue transporting supplies. Many of these same truck drivers would aid in saving the weaker children.

FERRY BEGINS LISTING:

At some point at 8:50AM passengers hear a loud BAND reverberating through the ship, and 10 minutes later the ship would begin listing to the left 30 degrees.

Ever heard of the words Ballast-water? Now this is something I never knew about!

Now you'd think that a 30 degrees Listing would mean instant capsizing for a ship, but ships of the scale of the Sewol are built with what are known as ballast tanks. Ballast water is water carried in ships' ballast tanks to improve stability, balance. The idea is to act as counterweight to the motion of a ship, improving its balance!

However, the cargo of the ferry: the trucks and vehicles transported by the Sewol was NOT tied down. Meaning that as the ship began listing, all of these vehicles would be swept in the imbalence and flung to the left side of the ship, thus overwhelming the counterweight of the ballast tanks.

All ships need a low center of gravity, the lower the better, as top heavy ships swing and list from site to side in extreme weather and swells, and are more exposed to tipping and capsizing, the ballast tanks aid this as well.

Well guess WHAT?! The r-slurs of the Sewol crew had not pumped enough ballast water into the inner chambers in order to save time and speed

Thus the center of gravity was at the top of the vessel, and the near empty ballast tanks could not counterweight the listing

So the vicious circle keeps going, the more the listing, the more vehicles keep slamming to the left, listing the ferry beyond salvation.

Thus the crew begin to realize the ships is going to unavoidably capsize.

1ST EMERGENCY CALL BY STUDENT:

When very massive vessels like the Sewol lists or sinks, it isn't always immediately obvious to passengers, in the same way in which excessive airplane turbulence is when the plane is for a certainty going to crash.

The first emergency call was made by Choi Duk-ha, a Danwon High School student aboard the ferry, who immediately understood the danger, and was suspicious of the ship's intercom continious telling the students and passengers to "stay in their cabins, it was dangerous to venture outside; wait for rescue". The crew of course knew the opposite was true.

HECK BREAKS LOOSE: KOREAN COAST GUARD IS INEPT

At about 9:07AM the Sewol crew finally tells the SK coast gaurd that they are in deep shit, and that the ferry is unstoppably listing. However these clowns call in so many different agencies and authorities, that they cause intense communication chaos.

The SK Coast guard would also lie to the media and SK people, that when they received the mayday from the Sewol, that they were not aware that near 500 people were on board - this specific lie would cause massive fallout later, we'll get to that!

The coast guard tells the Sewol crew, that any passengers must put on life-jackets. The Sewol for some fricking reason tells the coast-gaurd back that their announcement system was broken, which we know in hindsight would be a massive lie as student's cellphones were recovered after their deaths with the repeated anouncement to stay put why on God's green earth they would lie about this is WTF

Just like the Oceanos the crew would have no communication with passengers, to tell them the situation or cause of the listing, only the anouncement was the sole communication the crew would ever do with their passengers!

The coast guard on the radio would say, ok butthole, well if the PA system was broken, fricking go tell your passengers to put on their life jackets, and whoever was on the walkie-talkie that moment was like "eeeehhhhhhh" then he walks around taking a smoke, jerking off to the sunset, walking around for a bit, and came back to the walkie-talkie and said that they had told the passengers to put on their lifejackets, evidence from the recovered cellphones would prove THAT HE DID NOT DO THAT WHYYYYYY He just straight up lied to the coast guard he had taken list of the passengers and personally saw to them - hoooollly smokes it just gets worse and worse from here on out

So at this point, whichever low level drone is at the helm of the coast gaurd communication (is actually the only competent guy in this equation), tells the Sewol captain and crew to unfrick themselves, and prepare quickly, a rescue helicopter is 1 minute away, and another search and rescue boat is like 5 minutes away, get passengers ready for rescue.

And our boi, the 69-year-old Captain Lee Joon-seok, goes full r-slur and replies: "bro that's no enough to save everybody, there's more than those vessel's capacities" you know as if that matters , fricking who cares.

So at this point the passengers are still being told to stay put. As the ferry was sinking, it became clear that it would be inverted. The 1st people to be rescued........was the captain and some of his senior crew. Sounds familiar to the Oceanos???

There were several reccorrdings recovered from the dead student's cellphones where they could clearly be heard pronouncing their confusion: why must they put on their Life-Jackets and also stay put in their cabins like the PA announcement system was repeating on auto?

THE "RESCUE":

The entire rescue was an ongoing shitshow. And despite media lies, most passengers were not being successfully rescued.

The thing that most angered the SK public, after the disaster, was the sheer ineptitude of the SK authorities during what was dubbed the "Golden hours", the 1st two hours after the Ferry began capsizing, and when it was entirely feasible to save everyone.

In those precious moments the coast guard and Park Admin kept repeating moronic requests of seeing a visual feed of the tilting ferry, instead of giving out deceisive commands for rescue operation. They kept asking moronic questions about whether the situation was serious, to which the helicopters and patrol boats would reply: yes butthole this is serious, the fricking ship is sinking, and on and on they would waste 90 fricking minutes with this r-sluration.

Rescue officials then missed a series of opportunities to save most of the people until the ship fully submerged underwater at 11:50 a.m.

The coast guard, which received a distress call from the ferry's crew shortly after the ship began to drift, was required to guard the waters that the Sewol passed through with at least one large patrol vessel.

But on the day of the sinking, the only vessel nearby was a small patrol boat whose nine-member crew was woefully undertrained and lacked basic communication equipment.

The boat did not arrive at the Sewol until 9:30 a.m. Rescue workers then wasted further time with indecisiveness.

SK COASTGUARD IS INDECEISIVE AND USELESS:

By this point at about 09:00AM to 09:30AM there would be like 3 rescue helicopters just circulating around the tilting ship, not being helpful, only like 3 passengers had been saved, and they had climbed upon the deck of the ship all on their own.

The rest of the patrol boats are just standing there drifting, with their peepees in their hands. Because there had been no centralized command given by the Park Administration, and because not central authority had taken first step, all of them are just loitering there being useless frickwits.

All of them are waiting for the park admin to give specific orders, instead of taking deceisive action, and the Park admin in turn is sitting on their thumbs waiting for "video of the incident" before even making a decicion! and worst of all is that Prez Park would be missing AWOL for at least 7 hours, unavailable to give commands, and many gove beaurucrats are to cowardly to take initiative in case something goes wrong, and they shoulder the blame,

so everyone there onsite are waiting for someone else to fricking take initiative, so they they would be the one in charge and thus responsible for any possible negative fallout. So everyone is just fricking standing there like imbeciles, waiting for each other!!!!

Remember the US Navy vessel nearby? USS Bonhomme Richard was nearby and had immediately notified SK coast guard they were available for assistance. The USS Bonhomme Richard is a vast amphibious assault ship, with a crew of over 1800 men. At that time they had a full complement of marines capable of rescue operations.

The ship was a semi-aircraft carrier and carried several helicopters capable of advanced search and rescue operations, SK told them to take a hike - this truly was the most needless loss of life in modernity.

ROK AGAIN DECLINES AID FROM JAPANESE COAST GUARD AND US-NAVY VESSLE:

When fishermen tried to break the windows still exposed above the surface live, in the hope of rescuing some of the students, the sk coast guard would stop them, claiming it was too dangerous.

Meanwhile when the ferry had finally capsized, and was hanging upside down, the coastguard would not go down in the 1st day with divers to check up upon any survivors, which further enraged the parents, and fishermen.

WASTE OF OPPORTUNITY:

Now the ferry just like the Oceanos was sinking very very slowly. By 10:00PM (that evening) about 15 hours after the ferry had listed, then capsized, but was semi-drifting with its butt above the waterline.

Sometimes when ships capsize, they capture large airpockets in which crew can survive for hours or days more. There was a statistically and historical likelyhood that many students and other passengers were likely still alive, and capable divers like the men in the Thai Cave incident would have been able to retrieve them. But once again the SK coast guard didn't even make an attempt the entire 1st day.''

But the SK coast guard didn't want to admit they did not have the competency and experience to do rescue divers, but to save face they could not admit that, they had to shift blame or pretend that another department had to have the responsibility of the incident.

Prime Minister Chung Hong-won made a visit to a gymnasium in Jindo to console the families of victims of the sunken ferry in the early hours of Thursday, only to be attacked by angry parents.

Chung made the visit to the gymnasium in South Jeolla Province, just hours after returning from overseas tours to China and Pakistan. Family and friends of those who went missing in the sinking are waiting in the gymnasium for news of their loved ones.

This body recovery would be a monumental and traumitizing undertaking for the civilian divers. These civilian divers were very valiant in their undertaking, and many would spend 2-3 months away from home and family to aid in bringing home the bodies of kids to their grieving parents.

The recovery took an extremely long time, as the situation was very precarious underwater, and beneath the still hanging capsized ferry. The ferry was disintegrating as walls, and furniture would continiously fall from the upside-down Ferry, a great deal of debris had to be manually removed by hand, before the divers could even enter the darn ship. Hallways were very cramped, and divers could get easily stuck in the mazelike interior of the vast ship.

These divers had to very slowly and incrementally place guiding ropes, lights, and ventilation tubes for air to be pumped down to where they worked for hours and hours underwater to excavate corpses. If these ventilation plastic tubes accidentally knotted or got caught on an obstruction, the divers would choke to death from lack of air supply, it was a perilous undertaking.

The ferry operator, which blatantly flaunted safety rules for the sake of squeezing a few extra won from the business, is a textbook example. Chonghaejin Marine ignored passenger safety because the revenue from fares was relatively small compared to the money it could make from cargo.

Overloading had become routine. At the time of accident, the ferry carried a whopping 3.7 times its cargo capacity of 978 tons. It was more like a cargo ship that grudgingly permitted a few passengers on board, and then abandoned them to their fate the moment something went wrong.

In order to squeeze more cargo on board, the ferry had discharged the ballast water aimed at providing balance, thereby causing the tragic accident.

The operator also hired Lee Joon-seok, a 69-year-old man well past retirement age, on contract for a monthly pay of W2.7 million, to scrimp on the average pay of W3.06 million for coastal ferry crew. An official with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries said, "It must have been hard for Lee to feel any kind of responsibility in such a low-paying job."

COMEDY OF ERRORS:

So to summarize this chain-reaction of r-sluration the ballast tanks have been emptied to make room for extra weight in terms of cargo, so that the company may make more money on the Ferry's circuit.

Before we talk about the current paper being published we have to discuss how this whole event was set up, and that starts with Lisa Littman

Real chuds already know that Littman is a medical doctor that specializes in studying gender dysphoria and specifically those who detransition. She was even the individual that created the term "rapid onset gender dysphoria”. Littmans major controversy was when she published an article to PLos One titled "Rapid-onset gender dysphoria in adolescents and young adults: A study of parental reports". The study surveyed parents of kids who had transitioned and seemed to hypothesize that there could be social contagion, especially among young females, that contribute to gender dysphoria.

While the study itself had several prominent weakness, it was an interesting report that had potential to be expanded on. But backlash from Gender activists led to Littman's university to retracting support for her:

Along with the journal being republished with several corrections to make sure its readers know that the article is VERY limited in it's scope and is a weak study.

Surely, journal publishers would always be this scrutinizing when deciding which research papers to publish.

But nonetheless that brings us up to date so we can discuss the similar issue that occured just recently but this time in [CURRENT YEAR]

The Controversy

Current Year Problems

The controversy began in Late March of this year when an article titled "Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria: Parent Reports on 1655 Possible Cases" was published to the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior of Springer Nature by Suzanne Diaz and Michael Bailey.

The study explored the same ideas in the Littman study by to a greater extent. The original Littman paper surveyed 256 parents while Diaz and Baileys study surveyed 1655 parents. The paper was able to corroborate several of the findings in the original Littman Paper:

This data bolstered Littman’s findings about the onset of gender dysphoria after puberty, predominantly in girls, in conjunction with preexisting mental-health conditions, heavy social-media usage, and peer influence. They also corroborated Littman’s 2018 finding that an overwhelming majority (90 percent) of concerned parents are politically progressive, undermining the common narrative that criticisms and concerns about gender affirmation originate in conservatism.

As mentioned before, The Bailey and Diaz paper seeked to expand on Littmans original findings. And thats what they did:

Females are more than twice as likely to pursue social transition. However, among those who experienced gender dysphoria for at least one year, males were more likely to undergo hormonal interventions. Moreover, a majority of parents reported feeling coerced by gender specialists to affirm their child’s new identity and endorse his or her transition. Parents who facilitated their child’s social transition reported that the child’s mental health “deteriorated considerably after social transition,” and that their relationship with their child suffered.

The purpose of the paper was to provide evidence against the currently accepted approach of "gender affirmation" suggesting that "hey, maybe we should slow down and actually find more research before experimenting on the young kiddos". Obviously no one should have a problem with this.

REEEEEEEEEE THIS IS A PROBLEM

One day passes after the article is published, and Bailey and Diaz recieve a list of questions from the executive committee of the International Academy of S*x Research (IASR) about their Institutional Review Board (IRB) ethics-approval process and with the journal raising “significant concerns about the ethical conduct and integrity of the editorial process” .

For those unaware IRB boards are committees that review research studies to ensure that they comply with applicable regulations, meet ethical standards, follow institutional policies, and protect research participants. Basically they make sure you have consent from patients before you go probing their bussys in the name of science.

Keep this all in mind, because we're going to touch on this point again.

Bad Faith

News of the Baileys and Diaz article begins to circulate and a group of hundred plus scientists (on the right side of history) draft a lengthy open letter to Springer Nature and the IASR. The letter was seething about how Diaz and Baileys study was heckin bad faith and could hurt the homo community:

The publication also raises concerns over scientific integrity. Despite mentioning longstanding academic critiques of research around “Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria,” it does not seriously engage with these critiques nor integrate insights drawn from those critiques into the study methodology, replicating the severe methodological and interpretive flaws of previous research

Publishing work on LGBTQ+ issues that does not meet the highest standards of academic and ethical rigor has caused a severe deterioration of the reputation of Archives of Sexual Behavior within LGBTQ+ research. By granting scientific legitimacy to articles that do not meet the highest standards of academic and ethical integrity, Archives of Sexual Behavior is not only undermining trust in science but also playing a distorting role in ongoing legislative and judicial debates over gender-affirming care in many countries including the United States. These actions impugn the respective reputations of Springer and IASR as a publisher and sponsoring organization.

NOOOOOOOO, If people don't trust the science we can't continue doing what we want to do

The aforementioned letter additionally demanded for the resignation of Springer Natures editor, Kenneth Zucker, and demanded for his replacement to be a person who understands the importance and has integrity on LGBTQ issues. The scientists threatened to withhold submissions to their journal if the journal didn't give into their pleas.

The severity of our scientific and ethical concerns calls for replacing Dr Kenneth Zucker as editor of Archives of Sexual Behavior. Until an editor who has a demonstrated record of integrity on LGBTQ+ matters and especially trans issues replaces Dr Zucker as editor, we will no longer submit to the journal, act as peer reviewers, or serve in an editorial capacity. We encourage our peers to do the same. If the situation is not remedied in a timely manner, we will consider terminating any involvement with the IASR and with members of Archives of Sexual Behavior’s editorial board.

While this letter makes the scientific community look like a bunch of cucks there was a counter protest to the letter that recieved over 2000 signatures telling the soycucks to shut up:

That same day, FAIR in Medicine, a nonpartisan professional network that advocates “the highest ethical standards in medical practice,” sponsored a counter-letter. This document underscored their support for Dr. Kenneth Zucker and called for an “academically robust and unbiased editorial process” at ASB and the “uninterrupted publication” of Diaz and Bailey’s study. Rather than capitulating to activists’ “censorious demands," FAIR in Medicine urged for an “open debate about the paper.” The counter-letter garnered over 2,000 signatures

Now back Diaz and Bailey.

It was stated earlier that Bailey and Diaz conducted their research with survey response answers from willing volunteers, but even in this case, anything that involves collecting data from study participants requires consent per IRB policy before research ever begins and the IRB can't retrospectively approve already collected data. But due to Diaz not being associated with the University he was able to circumvent these polices and just have Bailey be a coauthor on the paper.

For Nature and Springer their policy on IRB approval porcess states:

a study has not been granted ethics committee approval prior to commencing. . . . The decision on whether to proceed to peer review in such cases is at the Editor’s discretion.

Hence, you can underatand why the scientists before were calling for the resignation of Spingers current editor. But it appeared that the activists attempts to remove the article were futile and that Diaz and Bailey wouldn't have their article retracted

It's over

After a continuous pressure campaign from homo activists, Diaz and Bailey recieve an email from Springer telling them to get fricked and that they should have gotten EXPLICIT consent beforehand and that they have no choice but to remove the paper:

The participants of the survey have not provided written informed consent to participate in scholarly research or to have their responses published in a peer reviewed article. Additionally, they have not provided consent to publish to have their data included in this article.

At this point it's clear that the activists couldn't get the article removed on the basis of heckin wrong think but rather on this technicality.

Bailey and Diaz were going to have their article removed no matter what but they were provided an option to prepare a statement that disagreed or agreed with the decision that would be included with the retraction:

Bailey raised three major objections to Springer’s decision to retract the paper. First, he contested the grounds for retraction as an ever-changing “moving target.” Initially, Springer’s concern hinged on a potential ethics violation arising from the absence of IRB approval brought to its attention by activists. When this challenge proved to be without merit, the focus abruptly shifted to concerns about the informed consent of the study’s participants.

Second was Springer’s assertion that the study’s participants did not provide “written consent to participate in scholarly research or to have their responses published in a peer reviewed article.” As Bailey explained, the parents who took part in the survey were enthusiastic about contributing data related to ROGD, given the scarcity of information on this novel presentation of gender dysphoria. The introduction of the survey, taken by all participating parents, mentions the dearth of data on the topic and the need for parents to “seek out this information on our own” to “help us gain a better understanding” of this new phenomenon. Upon completion of the survey, parents were informed that their “answers will help us gain a better understanding of which children are more vulnerable to Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria and what we can do to help them better.” The data, parents were told, would be made public online once a sufficiently large sample size was achieved.

And finally, the funniest point was Bailey pointed out that Springer’s "consent policy" wasn't even applied consistently:

Bailey pointed out Springer’s inconsistent application of their putative consent policy. He cited “a slew of ‘scholarly publications’ [by Springer] based on survey research in which the respondents did not provide explicit permission for ‘scholarly research’ use—and often apparently did not provide consent for any research purpose at all.” Examples included at least six publications using data from a health survey conducted by the American College Health Association that “included intensely personal questions relating [to] substance use, sexual behaviors, and other highly sensitive topics.”

ie, before the troll. feel free to skip this part if you are illiterate or have adhd or some other gay disease lmao

This story actually begins with the name that I assigned to this trolling operation. I was cleaning my room a few days back, thinking about memes and then the name sprang into my head. If you didn't know (ie, you are not a racist) there is a "meme" in the far-right about something called "The Day of the Rope", which is the point in the future where the good guys win and kill all of the degenerate blacks, gays, communists, users of rdrama.net, etc. (That's the difference between communists and fascists - while they would both realistically make everything way worse for everyone, the communist at least thinks that things will generally be better). Thus, the name "The Day of the Cope" was born. Now, all I had to do was create a trolling operation befitting it.

I knew I wanted to troll consumeproduct.win, because they are redditors at heart and, being redditors, . I had also trolled them once before and it was really fun. Now, for the rest of this to make sense, you need to have a general idea of how consumeproduct.win works. You see, consumeproduct.win is a "community" on a larger site called "communities.win" (recently renamed to "scored.co", but no one calls it that), despite having it's own url and look. So, you can subscribe to consumeproduct from communities.win like you would any other community.

When the site started, the point of C.W was to provide a place where subreddits can move if they get booted off of reddit. So, any time a (right-wing) sub got jannied, the admins would create a new board for them. Over time, the people who moved there wanted the place to have more generic content, so a few default subs were created, like /c/animals and /c/funny, but that was pretty much it.

However, the head gigajanny, a guy named /u/C (who I think is pmmeyourdoggos from reddit, but don't quote me on that, and if anyone has better info lmk), realized that the site had literally zero growth potential, so he decided to set about fixing that. Basically, he made the site have a useable front page that was secluded from the wingcuckery of the rest of the site, and, importantly, opened subcommunity creation. I wrote a summary of that drama here.

This was exactly the news I had been hoping for. Previously, my plan was to create a subreddit, get it banned for rightoid agendaposting, and use it as a trojan horse to create a new community. Now, I could do it without the admins getting involved at all!

Or so I thought. New users cannot create communities, and the requirements for what makes someone a """new""" user are not documented anywhere on the site. I thought you just needed to be a non-handshake user (which requires something like 50 comment karma and post karma), but that turned out to be incorrect. Then I thought there was a karma threshhold you needed to pass, so I created an account, /u/justwaittilnextyear, and started grinding karma (mostly just posting memes I found on groomercord to /c/Funny). After surpassing 2500 karma doing this and still not having enough karma, I finally asked what the threshhold was on /c/Meta. Guess what? I had been wasting my time because it was based on account age, not karma. (Don't worry, that account came in handy later) Luckily, a few months prior, I made an alt to do a little trolling. Thus, /u/bennington was born.

I created /c/rdrama right away, posted some dumb memes, and made a thread about it here. Then, I went to consumeproduct.win, and, using my karma grinding account, made a post concern trolling about it, and sat back as the drama unfolded mostly organically. Looking back, the drama from this is quaint in comparison to what happened later, but it was still funny to watch them get so peeved about something so trivial. Some funny incidents include:

• I editted the WHOIS data for rdrama.net to say that we were based out of Tel Aviv. Funnily enough, somebody ran the WHOIS for themself and realized that it was different, but they rationalized as part of the conspiracy

• A post was made on /c/Meta begging for gigajanny intervention

• CP enjoyers jerk themselves raw over their """invasion""". Some absolute bangers in this thread

The Day of the Cope

Despite all of the seethe /c/rdrama had created, it was still not enough for me. Yeah, we got some lolcows, but nothing spectacular. Business was continuing as usual, and only a few posts were made across the site. Trolls were getting bored, lolcows were realizing that they were getting baited, and, in short, /c/rdrama was dying. 😢

Then I had an idea. As /u/bennington, one of my gimmicks was saying that people had been added to "the database". This had spawned some funny reactions on consumeproduct.win already. Now, obviously, "the database" was just a comment that I editted to include the usernames of various lolcows. But what if it was real? What if I compiled an actual hate database?

WARNING: NERDSHIT FOLLOWS. It turns out that every community on communities.win has a "hidden" comment feed of all comments made. This is made, I think, for moderators to make sure that people are behaving (I, of course, used it as an alert that new friends had joined /c/rdrama). As I did some digging, I discovered that this feed is populated by calling an API endpoint that returns neatly formatted json, and that each comment entry contains the username of the commentor. I whipped up a python script, and in like 20 minutes (my script was really poorly written lmaooo) I had scraped the usernames of everyone who had commented in the last 5000 pages of comments in CP.W.

Holy shit, there were a lot of usernames. There was, by some twist of luck (or bug) exactly 2600 names, not including /u/bennington. (I took this as a sign from snappy that I had his blessing ) I was expecting 100, tops. And most of them were semi-active, judging from a random sample that I tested. This is one of the few times that, when trolling, I stopped and asked myself - "Is this really a good idea?". The answer, of course, is no, but I did it anyways

So, after 13 comments, I had pinged every single user. And oh lordy, things really popped off. The thread is sitting at 900 comments, with 168 downmarseys. The page noticably lags when loading the thread due to the number of comments in it. However, the metric I am most proud of is:

• To get to ISEF in the US, you have to win your local state fair and get nominated to ISEF, so its pretty selective. You undergo several rounds of judging locally and then a day of judging at the ISEF itself. Judges are supposed to at minimum have a PhD or 6 years of experience in whatever category they are judging.

• Note that his category is "Environmental Engineering" and the competition was hosted in California this year.

• A few days after winning, a mysterious, anonymous document began to circulate in the ISEF community claiming Pai fabricated most of his project. The letter asks ISEF to investigate & fix their system for the future. Even I got sent this document from a friend, despite being a winner like 15 years ago. The document is 36 pages long and very detailed. He appears to have tiny face syndrome like Charlie Kirk. You can actually see a picture of him in the formatting help section of rdrama. He wrote a book called "Men are better than women" and made a website called MenAreBetterThanWomen.com, which featured articles that explain women are dumb/ fat/ useless, etc. His appearance on Dr. Phil is pretty funny because he's like a proto Andrew Tate.

You may have noticed that both of these retards are cut from a similar cloth, both being known for playing a "character" that's entire existence is to troll people with inflammatory hot takes. On May 20th, of 2014, the two would begin a podcast together, titled, "The Biggest Problem in the Universe." The show's format involved the hosts choosing a current issue or problem in the world, and debating the other as to why their problem was worse. Maddox was liberal, neurotic as fuck, and easy to aggravate. Dick was definitely more libertarian, more laid back, and seemed to have a knack for pushing Maddox's buttons. The show was actually really successful, and had genuine potential to be a long-term thing. In their debates, Maddox would regularly lose to Dick, who would troll him by making him watch a minute of the Titanic whenever he lost. Maddox's mask would often slip as he would react with authentic butthurt to Dick's chuddery. Things would get even more spicy around episode 70(ish), when Dick and Maddox would attend a wedding for one of their friends. Dick would meet and later date one of Maddox's ex-girlfriends who was present at the wedding (Dick is still with this woman to this day). This caused the rift between the two hosts to deepen into a trench, with Maddox ending the show on episode 104. Maddox went scorched Earth with Dick, calling him as a rapist and trying to out him as an unironic misogynist to their gay little LA improv circle, which he was able to do successfully.

Dick and Maddox would start up their own podcasts; "The Dick Show" and "The Best Debate in the Universe," respectively. While Maddox would refuse to talk about his fallout with Dick on his new program, Dick Masterson would spill the tea about working with Maddox, and his show blew up because of it, with his patreon hitting five figures in a matter of days. Maddox's show would go on to be gay and lame. As the tension rose between the two, their fanbases would begin to antagonize eachother.

Maddox did an entire rant back on May of 2016 about the word "cuck" and how much he hated that word, and how angry and upset it made him. Obviously, Dick's fans would run with this, calling Maddox a cuck repeatedly online and even in real life. One of Dick's fans made a parody of Maddox named "MadCucks," which incensed Maddox to the point where he decided to sue Dick, his fans, and everyone else involved for the sum of $400 million, in a court case now infamously referred to as the "lolsuit." His court filing was so poorly worded that it was thrown out by the judge, but not before Dick's fans could weigh in on it and make fun of Maddox even harder. The "lolsuit" deserves it's own sneediumpost, but that will be another time.

RACKETS

One of these "Dick Heads" was an attorney from rural Minnesota by the name of Nicholas Robert Rekieta, also known as "Rackets." Nick, who owned a small law firm called "Rekieta Law," made a half hour video analyzing the lolsuit. Dick would feature Rekieta on the show to discuss the case, and the lawyer would become a fan favorite, with fellow "Dick Heads" encouraging Nick to continue to effortsneed about the case. Nick would begin to stream about the details of the lolsuit to a small but dedicated group of "Dick Heads" who were also legal nerds.

Nick's small following began to grow from his lolsuit coverage, and in late 2017, would begin to make a point to read EVERY SINGLE SUPERCHAT that he received. This is considered standard practice today, but in 2017, superchats were more of a novelty. "Real streamers" were already on Twitch, while Youtube creators preferred releasing vlog/podcast style content. Nick's viewers would stay tuned to hear him read their superchats, and this would facilitate the uncomfortably parasocial dynamic that Nick is known to have with his fans to this day.

THE RISE

As the lolsuit came to a conclusion, Nick would begin to branch out into other legal drama, including Comicsgate and the Russell Greer v. Taylor Swift suit. In 2019, he would begin covering "ANIMEGATE," a controversy in which a famous anime voice actor would sue Funimation for defamation. I will post about animegate at a separate time, but for now here's a crude synopsis:

You see, the American anime dubbing industry had quietly become slowly infested with SJWs for years, and this was becoming evident in the "translations" of some shows that seemed to have a political bend that happened to suit the agenda of the progressive left (such as "gamergate" references in "Prison School" which were not present in the original Japanese dub).

In an industry that was frought with pronoun pins and purple hair, Vic Mignogna stood out. He was a devout Christian man who would hold bible studies for interested fans at anime conventions. He was the voice of Edward Elric, one of the most iconic protagonists in all of anime, and he was known to be a genuinely nice guy. He also had an insane amount of fan girls on his anime weeaboo ballsack. Unfortunately, this would make him a target, and he would be run out of the industry.

On January 16th, a twitter used by the name of HanLeia accused Vic of being "a homophobic rude asshole who has been creepy to underage female fans for over ten years and I've been screaming about this since 2010 but every year nothing changes." The next day, random internet BPD girl "Marzgurl" tweeted at Funimation to "reconsider hiring Vic in the future" based off of HanLeia's tweet, and later began the #kickvic hastag. Then on the 30th, an article would be posted outlining the allegations from the previous tweets, using pictures of Vic posing with female fans at conventions as proof of sexual abuse (tbh the kissing fans on the cheek shit is pretty strange but it's apparently something he does with alot of his fans). Funimation's voice actors then mobilized run Vic out of the company based on essentially false allegations.

The voice actress who played Bulma (Monica Rial) would straight up accuse Vic of raping her, but refused to elaborate or provide any evidence whatsoever. Another actress, Jamie Marchi, would do the same, later tweeting that treating someone as innocent until proven guilty "supports rape culture." Vic would make a public apology at a convention in response to the allegations, to no avail. Vic would then begin to get banned from Anime conventions left and right, and his fans were even told on twitter by the official Pensacon twitter account that they would be arrested if they attended the anime convention and made statements supporting Vic, claiming that they "have eyes everywhere."

Samantha Inoue-Hart, a translator at Funimation who was personally involved in the interal investigation against Vic, posted a picture of her smashed in front door to twitter saying Vic supporters had swatted her home. Internet cybersleuths were able to uncover that this picture was from three years prior when her house was burglarized, and that no police report even existed, making her claim literal defamation on behalf of Funimation She would backtrack on the Anime News Network, but it was obvious what was going on at this point.

Many chud adjacent drama youtubers like Quarterpounder, Yellowflash, and of course, OUR BOY Rackets would begin to cover this controversy. Nick especially got involved with the case, using his platform to raise over a quarter of a million dollars for Vic's legal defense. Things were looking good for Vic, and by extension, Rekieta. However, what should have been a decisive legal victory for Vic was ruined by the fact that Nick would recommend his family probate lawyer, "Ty Beard," to represent Vic in his defamation case. Ty would go on to lose the case literally because he fucked up the paperwork.

Nevertheless, Nick's star continued to rise. By November 2021, Nick was seen as a major player in the "lawtuber" meta, and many copycat channels sprang up, mostly other lawyers who wanted to start a legal career reading case briefs and superchats in their underwear. All these dudes were fighting to be featured on Nick's stream. Some of Nick's regulars included Drexel, a black dude who is all about MGTOW shit and Ty Beard, the lawyer who fucked up the Anime guy's case.

November 1st marked the beginning of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, and Nick would stream each day of the trial with a panel of these "lawtubers." While other streams provided a feed of the trial and nothing else, Nick restreamed the trial and his panel reacted with legal commentary, being one of the only prominent legal channels to do so. He would hit RETARDED levels of concurrent views, maxing out at over 100,000 viewers during his trial coverage, much to the chagrin of more established legal news outlets. This man sitting in a guest room wearing an earbud mic and using a webcam was outperforming a major media company like "Law and Crime Network." People came for the trial coverage, but many stayed because Nick came across as a very likeable, down to earth, family man . A father of 5 who married his high school sweetheart, he was seen as an exemplar of the conservative way of life for his young chud viewers, and his burgeoning wine mom fanbase liked him for his nerdy charm and wit. He also had a tendency towards shock jock humor that many found endearing. He would listen to the hardships of his viewers and offer his condolences and advice, and he seemed to be an authentic, affable dude.

It is important to note that Nick's streams have almost always been accompanied by alcohol. Specifically, whiskey. While in the beginning of his streaming career, Nick would enjoy a few drinks over the course of the evening, but the drinking would continue to ramp up consistently over time. By 2022, Nick's alcoholism would begin to get out of control.

With his channel swelling with new viewers, Nick would then cover the Amber Heard v. Captain Jack Sparrow suit throughout 2022. During this time, Nick's channel would begin to face a backlash from pro-Amber Heard activists, many of whom were fellow lawtubers that didn't like Nick and wanted a reason to take him down a peg. Media matters also wasn't a big fan of this chud lawyer lawsplaining about Alex Jones. Other people just really didn't like Nick constantly using words like "retard" and "faggot" in his streams. His channel would be targeted by frivolous copyright claims. After writing a nasty, profanity laced letter to Youtube following a bogus copyright takedown notice, Youtube would strike suspend his channel for his conduct in the summer of 2022. After this strike expired, he would receive two more in rapid succession later that year. Nick needed to play it safe with his channel or face losing it all. This would require some restraint and tact, which is not easy to maintain under an increasing drinking habit. In September, an encounter with a level 100 tranny would almost send Nick into the shadow realm forever.

KEFFALS

@keffals, a tranny streamer famous for supposedly getting destiny kicked off of twitch, would have a beef with a website known as Kiwifarms, which is like our site but with much less gayness and much more autism. Kiwifarms had a write up on Keffals, which included the following allegations: >Keffals is a commie activist. >Dabbles in fart porn. >"I'm gonna trans your children bitch" >Spent some of dying father's life savings to pay for fronthole surgery in Thailand. >Is addicted to opioids (probably due to fronthole surgery) >Had a discord server that grooms minors called "catboy ranch," where members would be mailed a handmade collar necklace made by Keffals himself. >Friends with someone named "Bobposting" who proudly supplies minors with homemade estrogen. >Is Canadian

In August of 2022, Keffals would try to leverage his newfound clout following his perceived triumph over Destiny to get Kiwifarms kicked off the internet. Considering the nature of Kiwifarms, being a living archive of nearly every embarrassing thing any internet person has done, ever, many people have wanted to see the site shuttered for quite some time now. One of the site's supporters during this time was the Racketman himself, who had featured Joshua Moon, the Farm's admin and OOperator, on his stream multiple times. Many Kiwis would also watch Nick's streams to keep up with other lolcow drama, and he had maintained a positive image on the site up to this point.

On September 2022, Nick Rekieta would get plastered and proceed to read the OP (writeup) for Keffals on Kiwifarms during his stream. When he got to the part about DIY HRT, Nick would comment, "Keffals needs to go up on the fucking wall with all the other MAPS and child molesters."

This comment right chyear would get Rekieta banned from youtube once again, and he would get his second strike, as this statement was deemed as a threat of violence.

In October 2022, the Minnesota Bar Ethics board would open up an investigation into Rekieta after receiving over 50 formal complaints. It was revealed that the complaints against this Bar association were from Keffals tranny supporters and people that just didn't like him for whatever reason. Nick would read these complaints aloud on his stream, along with the name of the complainants ,which are considered public record. Despite this, Youtube would grant Nick his third and final strike, seemingly banning him from Youtube forever for "doxxing" the retards that made frivolous complaints against him.

Nick would get his channel back, but realized that he would be spending the rest of his Youtube career dealing with bullshit, and eventually decided to move over to Rumble, which his chud audience happily moved over to as well.

So to recap, Nick up to this point had developed a reputation as a small town lawyer who became a successful Internet personality for his legal opinions, edgy humor, and the fact that he was a relatable family man who really seemed to care about his viewers. He was well liked and respected by his lawtuber community and Kiwifarms considered him a friend of the site. He was also given a lucrative exclusivity deal on a chud version of Youtube. This is where is all would begin to unravel...

HEDO NICK

In early November on 2022 while still on Youtube, Rekieta had announced that him and his wife were on vacation at a resort in Jamaica, and did a stream from their room. Kiwi cyberautists were quickly able to ascertain based on the room's layout that their streaming location was in fact a Swingers club in Jamaica known as "Hedonism II." I'll allow my boomer coomer friend "Hedo Rick" give you all the rundown on Hedonism II. Kiwis would begin to speculate about Nick's personal life. Specifically, his relationship with his wife, "Lady Rackets." Until recently, she has only been referenced in passing by Nick, but hadn't been featured on the stream until now. It was interesting to see the fabled "Lady Rackets" for the first time. She was dressed like an 18 year old from 2008 and had some godawful tattoos and a boob job. Still, she looked amazing for being the mother of 5 children and seemed to enjoy the attention from her husbands audience. Kiwis discovered that the couple was apparently staying at this swinger resort during "interracial week," and speculation began into whether or not Rackets may be a C U C K. "Woman on the internet syndrome"

Nick had a "Locals" page, which is like a Patreon. He would do exclusive, candid streams and the community would engage with Nick and eachother. As mentioned previously, Nick has a large amount of winemoms in his fanbase, and one of them by the name of "Mandy" would post her boobs to the Locals chat. After seeing the attention Mandy received, the other winemoms started posting lewds in return. Lady Rackets would get in on the action as well:

Some of the members of the Locals chat teased Nick and said Lady Rackets should open up an OF. Other members expressed their dissatisfaction with all the thirst posts, and Nick promptly told them to get fucked and stop being puritanical prudes, and that if they didn't like it, they were the problem. At this point, a lot of casual viewers would begin to tune out, or start hatewatching him instead, and only his weird, parasocial fans would remain.

THE FALL(DO)

My favorite piece of Nick lore, and his first descent into legitimate cowdom was with his "Locals exclusive" review of the "Balldo," a device which you place your ballsack into in order to fuck someone with your balls. A unholy device, coomerbrained in it's conception, the Balldo has become a symbol of Nick's transformation from well-liked conservative dad streamer to coomer boomer. In a matter of about 4 weeks, Nick, a guy who would regularly comment on social degeneracy, was outed as probable swinger, with a non-trad lifestyle that many of his chud viewers had previously admired him for. He also fricks his wife, and possibly other women, with his ballsack. Look, if you're into this kind of shit, more power to you, but it's one thing to grandstand about a particular way of life, brag about going to Church every Sunday, and then all of a sudden unapologetically broadcast your degenerate lifestyle to everyone and expect them to accept it. Most people don't care to know about it to be honest, it's not why they watch his content.

In December of 2022, Nick would get sued by Steve "Montagraph" Quest, one of the retards that filed a complaint against the Minnesota Bar association. "Monty" is known for filing bullshit complaints and lawsuits against people he doesn't like, and this would be no different. He would sue Nick for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress, due to Nick reading Monty's complaint on stream. Nick would start a gofundme for his legal defense, seeking about $50,000. It had only reached about $12,259 as of November 9th, while Monty's sits at $13,000 (lol) People didn't really want to donate because: 1. Nick is an attorney himself (granted it's always better to not represent yourself) 2. Nick is a multimillionaire. 3. Nick was (kind of) asking for it commenting that Monty should "be shot in the head."

This legal dispute is still ongoing, but Nick comments on it frequently in his streams, which many people are tired of hearing about. Between this and his coomer shenanigans bring revealed in November, his streams would seem to sidetrack more to the drama in HIS life instead of relevant, current legal drama. New drama would begin to emerge, along with some old friends...

ENTER THE RIPPAVERSE

"Rippa," also known as Eric July, is a former contributor for the chud-owned "Blaze Network." He rose to fame by reporting on "Comicsgate" and commenting on culture war nonsense in the American comic book industry. He wrote a comic book series, called "ISOM," a story about a black superhero, and launched a kickstarter for the project. The series was the first in what was planned to be an entirely new universe, a "non-woke" competitor to the current capeshit being shat out in current year. People believed in the "Rippaverse," and his Kickstarter raised over 3.7 million dollars by July of 2022. Eric would invest $300,000 of his own money into the project, and frontloaded the cost of the production, so backers would only have to wait a couple months for the comic to launch. A large portion of the proceeds were to go to charity. The comic would be released in October 2022 to mixed reviews. Fan praised the stunning quality of the illustrations, the story being pretty cohesive, and the pacing being good for a 100-page graphic novel. Critics noted the lack of information surrounding the character's origins, his motivations being almost non-existent, and a lackluster ending. Still, many people would see this as a successful campaign, and a promising start to an alternative comic book company.

Not everyone would be happy for Eric's success, including Dick Masterson and his disgusting cohost Vito.

THE BIGGEST FAGGOTS IN THE UNIVERSE

At this point, Dick's career was more or less a joke, and only really thrived on drama that the show itself would create, like having Ethan Ralph come on and sperg out, or more infamously, Dick making and defending insanely retarded, inflammatory hot takes, like defending Netflix's "Cuties." Dick's entire "persona" is being a contrarian, and decided pedophilia would be his next frontier for some reason. People were becoming less interested in the show as it had devolved into a circus of failed LA comics and lolcows sneeding and cackling at eachother like middle aged hyenas. Dick decided to relaunch "The Biggest Problem in the Universe" with an insufferable, fat tub of shit co-host named Vito, who I will be covering here shortly.

Vito "The Pedo" Gesualdi is a gross, soy /pol/ meme made manifest. A self admitted pedophile, and greasy ball of shit, his entire existence on the show is to make Dick look good by comparison. Vito had been coping and sneeding about Eric July HARD for about a year prior to the release of ISOM, as he as working on his own capeshit comic project called "Superkiller" (which looks like absolute dogshit btw). While Eric July soaked up millions from all of the comicsgate paypigs, and was able to hire industry level illustrators, Vito was struggling to get his gay comic crowdfunded. Vito was also salty that Eric was able to leverage his social capital as a conservative media contributor into appearing on multiple media outlets to promote ISOM. Vito was just a cohost on a niche, dying podcast with a balding manchild comedian, and not even their own fans gave a fuck about his shitty comic.

In the summer of 2023, Dick decided to go after Eric July as well when "ISOM's" second campaign was announced. Dick and Vito claimed:

1. Eric July was scamming the backers, saying the profits would go to charity and then keeping the proceeds (this has never been supported by any evidence, and the charity supported by the comic has put out a statement denying any wrongdoing on Eric's part) 2. The comic book is terrible (Neither Dick or Vito have even read the comic) >Correction, they HAVE read the comic 3. Dick literally says he was going to go after Eric July anyway "because I'm a psychopath"

Dick and Vito would smear Eric July on their podcast (and other shows, including Rekieta's). One "Dick Head" would even go to Eric July's Grandfather's gravesite to pose and take pictures and post it on the /r/biggestproblem subreddit. His Grandfather was named "Isom," the name of the titular character in July's comic.

Needless to say, Eric July wasn't thrilled about this. In addition to dealing with these balding, fat unfunny retards constantly sneeding about his comic, and their fans disrespecting his ancestor's resting place, AND fucking with his business, Eric would be SUED by the "International School of Ministries," or "ISOM," for trademark infringement, claiming his comic book infringed on their organization's namesake.

In September 2023, Eric July would go on to Nick's stream to discuss this lawsuit against him. Rekeita was hoping to milk this situation for new viewers, like he did with the chud anime community during "Animegate," but the discussion would inevitably lead to a "dickscussion" about the recent drama surrounding the Dick boys.

In the beginning of the stream, Eric asked Nick if he thought what Dick and his people were doing was "fucking with [his] business." Nick would dance around the question, argue like a lawyer, and REFUSE to badmouth Dick or even admit that he or his cohort had done anything malicious. Eric was particularly incensed at the fact that Dick had accused him of fraud purely to fuck with his business, and not because he had credible evidence of fraud. Nick would refuse to admit that this was malicious conduct. You see, Nick got started by being featured on Dick's show, so he doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize that relationship. The two would argue for almost an hour back and forth, and would not see eye to eye.

WHITEBREAD ASS NIGGAS

Another "Dickhead" named "Riley" (who is a producer for the Dick Show) had started a line of clothing called the "Clippaverse," the joke being that Eric July needed "clippers" as he is a particularly hairy man. This is hilarious because you can clearly see Riley is not only quite hairy himself, but a disgusting butter golem neckbeard loser who really doesn't have the authority to judge anyone's appearance. Someone at the "Rippaverse" filed a DMCA takedown request of the "Clippaverse" merch, and the web shop was taken down (tbf I think this would be fair use on Clippaverse's behalf, due to parody). In response, Riley would show up late one late September night to Eric July's comic book warehouse in Texas and put stickers on his windows, along with $41, calling it an "in-person superchat."

(A fun fact about Riley is that he's dating an autistic girl named "Mintsalad" that once called into the Dick show when she was 17 to discuss her parents threatening to kick her out of the house over discovering her drawing furry porn. Dick told her to choose furry porn over her family, which she promptly does, runs away from home at 18, and begins having a relationship with Riley, who is in his thirties. Riley now pimps out the mentally handicapped girl on OF.)

Eric the Rippa would do a stream reacting to this, sneeding in ebonics, and mentioning that Riley is lucky he didn't get shot, because in Texas you can legally shoot someone who is vandalizing your business (). Eric would continue to sneed about Nick and Dick, referring to them as "white bread ass niggas." Eric would close the segment saying he was done with Rekieta.

Nick would react to this stream on his show, losing his shit, and going on a tirade about how he "grew up around poverty" and that he "knows the fucking streets" (which is hilarious because he's wearing a gay pink polo shirt during this rant, and also his grandparents and parents are worth millions of dollars and Nick grew up in a gated community).

Nick would go on to say that Rippa made the great mistake of "feeding into the bullshit and getting butthurt."

FEEDING INTO THE BULLSHIT AND GETTING BUTTHURT

By this time (October 2023), Nick's reputation on Kiwifarms had sunk pretty low. Kiwis had embraced their formerly favorite chud lawyer as their newest lolcow for almost a year now. Nick had taken note of the Farm's newfound mockery towards him, and would start livestreaming while absolutely trashed in his hot tub, calling Josh Moon a faggot and hoping he loses his case against Russell Greer (I am NOT getting into this one right now, but it's frivolous).

Nick's sexual deviancy, "Dick"-riding, and grifting had become popular topics of discussion amongst Kiwis, and his cringekino streams would be clipped and featured prominently on the Lolcow podcast "Kino Casino."

This show is pretty retarded, but the hosts have this term that they like to use, "Felted." I like this word. It means losing everything, usually in the context of a poker game, but not always. As in, "Lowtax was FELTED at the end of his life."|

I think Nick will have a pretty fantastic downfall here soon. His drinking is getting out of hand, the dude looks like shit, and he's losing his fans steadily for over a year now. At one point he was just a small town lawyer from Minnesota, now he seems to exist in a perpetual tempest of drama of his own creation.

Today, we'll be exploring a cautionary tale of the E-girl and the destruction she leaves in her wake. This will be a story of r*pe allegations, of a love triangle gone awry, of the consequences of simping, and most importantly of a man being banned from a gay cat gossip forum.

Let's start with the catalyst for this situation. R-slur messages SPAL (who I will be calling sirp because I already wrote these as notes for my show lmao) with a hard hitting question - did he r*pe Ted?

sirp responds with proof that they were meeting up again and nootices a discrepancy - Ted had told him she was r*ped in February. Something isn't adding up

R-slur responds, confirms that they fricked in February, shows the message Ted sent to him about being r*ped in August

Sirp puts on his thinking cap - Ted has alleged that she was r*ped to both of them at different times. Something isn't adding up.

R-slur asks for a timestamp and reveals that there is a 3rd man who warned him that Ted has a habit of r*pe claims. WHO IS THE 3RD MAN???

sirp asks if they were dating, posts him confronting ted about this conversation.

Group chat between the 3 is formed. Ted proceeds to sperg out at them for nooticing she lied to them, vows to cut ties forever (spoiler: she did not).

Ted leaves the conversation, the Sirp and R-slur get down to business. The 3rd man is mentioned again.

They continue on to compare notes, the most pressing matter of which is what Ted's body count is lmao

Sirp talks about how good she is in the sack, R-slur talks about how she always blocks him but he finds a way back in over groomercord. Sirp then says he'd like to continue fricking her despite the light r*pe allegations and that he's happy to share her. Very progressive and polypilled

This is, ultimately, the story of 3 people who are fricked in the head. @TED_SIMP is an attention seeker who consistently tries to garner simp-athy using her history of sexual assault and mental illness, and whether it's real or not, she knows playing the victim will usually work in her favor. @R-slur_but_spooky is deeply in denial about his feelings for Ted. I actually believe that when he was talking to Sirp, he matched the detached energy to not seem stupid for his feelings. Get some self respect buddy, because she's using you as an emotional tampon. You sperging out and getting angry on her behalf is embarassing and I believe you can do better. Sirp is waaaay to old to be acting like this. There is perhaps no show more infamous on the Internet than To Catch a Predator. As a lot of you know, I'm writing a book related to To Catch a Predator and my research has led me to a lot of weird and fascinating places. One of these weird places is in the case of one of the most well known predators caught on the show, Lorne Armstrong.

A Brief Background on Lorne Armstrong

There is enough knowledge and documentation out there of his early life before getting caught on the show that it could be its' own separate post, but to give a bit of background on who this guy is before he got caught on the show here are a few things:

1. Lorne was a former member of the Air Force but the actual details behind his service are murky. He served for only a year before being discharged and he claims he was discharged because he failed a test and was told he would either be discharged or have to change his career in the Air Force. The actual truth is unknown.

2. Lorne has the nickname of "87" because he graduated 87 out of 87 in his high school class.

3. He was born and raised in Maine but at the time of the sting was living in Nashville because he has dreams of becoming a country music star, Whenever he had money he would go to karaoke bars and sing song after song thinking he had a wonderful voice. The real reason he fled Maine was because he scammed an elderly couple out of tens of thousands of dollars claiming he would renovate their home on the cheap. In reality he had none of the cowtools and his alcoholic brother stole a lot of the money so Lorne just left the state to avoid getting sued.

4. Before the sting, Lorne had been catfished by a woman pretending to be both a woman named Amanda James and her niece. Amanda James convinced Lorne to send her memorabilia of the NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. among other gifts. Lorne apparently spent two years believing he was in a relationship with her before learning she was a catfish when his sister talked to Amanda James on the phone for a few seconds and figured it out immediately. No that's not an exaggeration. That's how dumb he is.

Falling In Love With a 13 Year Old Girl

I just found out about this submarine like an hour ago. I feel really bad for the people trapped inside, especially the kid, but they kinda deserve it for even getting on this thing. Everyone's laughing at the CEO for his dumbass DEI policies, but this is just surface level stuff (lol). No one's actually explained the depths of how r-slurred this guy and his company are, so I thought I'd take some time out of my actual engineering job while I'm sitting in a boring butt zoom meeting to properly call this guy a fricking r-slur, so you can all find this just as funny as I do. I thought you all might appreciate it a little more than just some sporadic tweets about the DEI shit he did. This is going to be like a Challenger-style breakdown and what exactly went wrong so you can appreciate this frick-up.

There's gonna be a lot of naval puns in this so bear with me here. A lot of this is coming from my friend, also an engineer, who's done more research into this than I have.

In the Boatginning

Dramatards, I'd like to introduce you to Stockton Rush. Owner of the the most startup founder-ish name in history, this guy has been making janky submarines his entire life. He got his start in the aerospace industry, as a test engineer on the F-15 with McDonnell-Douglass. Anyone familiar with the industry will note that experience with McDonnell-Douglass is not necessarily a good thing on your resume.

He's made a career out of building submarines that are cheaper and more accessible to the general population, and his company, OceanGate, has had a few successful designs. What's notable about his history, however, is that he's made them cheaper largely by bypassing safety standards. His first submarine that they operated was called Antipodes, was a refit sub built by a different company. Originally intended for research purposes, they used it instead for tourist dives.

The first actual submarine they built was the Cyclops 1, a carbon-fiber (we'll come back to this part) submarine controlled using a PlayStation controller, with an operational depth of 500m. The submarine is deployed/recovered from some weird floating drydock concept, which crucially allows them to not use human rated cranes to recover the submarine.

After seeing some moderate success, he's gone and built the submarine in question, the Titan, which is built from a composite carbon-fiber and titanium. They bought the hull from a company called Spencer Composites, who intended it to be SINGLE USE. The submarine was built to a factor-of-safety (multiple of how much of the expected load you can withstand before it breaks) of 2.25 (which is frick-all, especially for a submarine - should be at least 6, probably more like 10). . A lot of journ*lists who went on board the thing noted that most of the parts on the interior were sourced from local hardware stores, as were the ballast tanks. They were not, as you could imagine, comfortable about being on board once they realized this.

This guy's team is a bunch of young, impressionable diversity hires. He's explicitly avoided anyone with experience because they are old and white and men. They're not very inspirational, and so they don't have a place on Rush's team.

Anyone who has worked on an engineering project before knows that any engineer with less than 2 years of practical experience is a massive drain on the project and need to be babysat constantly, ESPECIALLY if they might kill someone. They're usually worth investing in because they'll give you a great return in the long run, but boy are those first couple of years hard.

This is going to go a long way to explain why what happened did happen, so buckle up.

Frick-up #1: Carboat-Fiber

Let's talk materials for a second. Carbon-fiber is what's called a composite material, because it's made from a couple of different types of material. You have the carbon fibers themselves, which are really resistant to being stretched in-plane (like pulling apart a sheet of paper), but have very little strength out of plane (like poking a hole in paper) or off-axis (they're woven into almost a cloth, if you pull at a 60 degree angle to that weave, they lose 80% of their strength).

Carbon fibers are usually set in place with solidified plastics, like epoxy. It solves a lot of problems as far as directional strength goes, but you still need to be careful with it. In a specific configuration, it has similar material properties to a common aerospace aluminium alloy (T-6061), while being a fraction of the weight. Great for airplanes and race cars, where mass is a factor.

Steel is the best material, and the only reason you use anything else is either because you don't want it to rust, or because you can't use steel. It's cheap, strong, and (crucially) it can be stressed over and over again without building up stress fractures. If you keep it under a certain limit, it will never break. NO OTHER MATERIAL DOES THIS.

This makes ideal for something that you're going to put under pressure, and then remove it from that pressure, over and over and over again, in a scenario where weight isn't a factor. Like, say, a submarine.

Stockton Rush, however, is way too cool for steel . He has instead decided to build his submarine out of the super cool airplane material, without understanding why its there in the first place. Composite materials are generally vulnerable to snapping if they're loaded repeatedly, which is why the company that built this refused to endorse it after finding out it was going to be used like it was.

It's never been used on submarines before, and with really good reason. It's not just not an optimal choice, it's literally the worst one possible. From the Business Insider article:

The Titan sub was never checked to see if it was up to standard because of its "innovation," OceanGate said in 2019. The sub features a carbon fiber hull that had never been used on submersibles before, according to the "Unsung Science" podcast.

Rush managed to bypass safety standards yet again by using completely different materials and then claiming that the standards aren't relevant. They make you sign a massive waiver when you sign up. No one has actually checked if this thing is safe. There's no standard it's being held to, there's no regulation, no third-party review. No matter how good you are, you can always frick up. Their cavalier attitude towards safety has now probably killed the CEO and four other people.

But it's ok, because they have a corporate culture of safety.

Frick-up #2: Electronixed

So this is an interesting note that I found is that the submarine has no onboard navigational system,. Yes, you read that correctly. They operate it by having a different ship monitor its position, and then send it text messages telling it where it is.

Journ*list David Pogue, who rode in Titan to view the Titanic in 2022, noted that Titan was not equipped with an emergency locator beacon; during his expedition, the surface support vessel lost track of the Titan "for about five hours, and adding such a beacon was discussed. They could still send short texts to the sub, but did not know where it was. It was quiet and very tense, and they shut off the ship's internet to keep us from tweeting."

These people are all going to die

That's part of the reason they can't find it, is because the submarine doesn't know where it is, and can't tell anyone even if it did. It even failed before, and they still didn't fix it. That's not just stupid, it's criminally negligent.

The controls of this thing consist of a single button, and is piloted by a PlayStation controller. I'll point out that the idea of using a gamepad as a submarine helm control is not necessarily a bad one, and was actually implemented by USN submariners to great success. It's intuitive to zoomer helmsmen, really easy to teach, and was actually a way better control scheme than what they were using before. That being said, USN submarines are extremely well designed, very redundant, and extremely well-built. This stupid thing has none of that.

Because of the lack of navigation and emergency beacon, these people are very likely going to die, and it's going to be very unpleasant. It's really hard to find submarines even when they want to be found, and there's still no means of even rescuing these people even if they're found. They've got anti-submarine-warfare aircraft searching and everything, but still nothing.

Frick-up #3: Oxy-Constants

I can't think of a good pun for this. There's no real good source on this that I've seen because it's kind of an obscure problem, but they also fricked up the gas lines on the ship.

When maintaining an atmosphere for people to breathe, you have to be pretty careful with the gas composition. You need gas cyclers to remove CO2 buildup, and replace it with oxygen. Nitrogen doesn't need to be replaced because it's not consumed. This is standard on airplanes, submarines, spacecraft, anything sealed. Failure to do this was infamously the cause of the Apollo 1 disaster, where a pure, high-pressure oxygen atmosphere caused a dramatic fire when some nylon started to overheat.

Can you guess what OceanGate have done?

That's right, they've been injecting pure oxygen into the cabin, with untested electronics on board.

Jesus Christ, guys. You get so many startup CEOs bitching about safety standards, and every now and then when they push the limits, we all get a very public reminder of why they're there in the first place. And it usually costs the lives of people who were tricked into getting onto that stupid butt vehicle in the first place.

What I can't believe is that they actually retconned the original two Fallout games and that nobody won New Vegas. Even more egregious is the lore change with the BoS-NCR war, which retcons THE ENTIRETY OF F:NV. This has to be a new timeline at this point.

TL:DR is they literally retconned the 3 games they didn't make, and then replaced the factions from those games with very special factions they made from the 2 games they developed themselves. This is like a bad fanfiction lol.

It's never said by Moldaver, but it seems to be implied that she founded Shady Sands in addition to being the remaining NCR leader. This is speculation, and it probably shouldn't be listed as an actual change.

Haven't watched the show yet as I sail the high seas but this ending sounds very, very annoying. Seems like the show starts off well though but if what I'm seeing here is the case I'll be pretty fricking ticked that they essentially made the West the same as the East in terms of development and that they made NV mean nothing.

NV was entirely retconned. The casinos are literally husks and the city is dead. NCR died when Shady Sands (located in the wrong place) was blown up by one guy.

The NCR was written out as a society entirely. The writers I guess just learned about shady sands and went 'oh its the capital so if we blow it up then the NCR will collapse.'

The NCR was such a good faction, it was the only one that actually grew, that had a familiar functioning postwar society. And what did they do? They nuked them out of existence to show off the brotherhood and a dead, empty New Vegas.

Why, why would they do this.. they could have made it right after the nuking not decades after. They pissed all over the legacy of my favourite game.

I blame Lonesome Road and Chris Avellone.

I can't hold him responsible for this, he had enough sense to know how big the NCR was and how the game world worked. That's why Ulysses wanted to destroy the Long 15 and block them from reaching the Mojave.

To me, Fallout stood apart for being a post-post-apocalyptic story. Just nuking the NCR not only strips away one of the most interesting aspects of the setting but does it, to my eyes, entirely unnecessarily. If you wanted to tell a wasteland story, you could have:

• Set it between Fallout 1 and 2, or even before Fallout 1

• Set it in one of the vast regions of America that are untouched by the games thus far
