That is all
This OP-ED is 10 years old but it's lived in my head rent-free this entire time. TL;DR - Biology prof puts an uppity Psychology prof in his place, Psych prof proceeds to S E E T H E for over 800 words about it. The butthurt-to-effort ratio here is fricking amazing and should qualify the Bio prof for mod privileges on this site.
Most of the posters are (correctly) dunking on him, but one brave soul proposes a more dramatic solution: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33121784
This entire comment section is filled with seething webshits, pick any subthread in there and it's glorious. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33056077
Absolute anal apocalypse.
No real drama, I just want to point and laugh at this entire comment chain.
I don't even like Trump but reminding other world leaders that you can literally send a missile through their bedroom window at any time is unfathomably awesome, and Twitter's reaction is to fat shame him:
complain about doxxing a literal terrorist
and pretend that this was somehow boring
No real drama I just like to laugh at Bongs
The juiciest bit is here, but he's all over the thread fighting everyone who tells him to put in the tiniest bit of effort if he wants a job.
GenCon is a gaming convention held every year in Indiana. Naturally, this means people go there for one reason and one reason only: to be preached at. Recognizing this, GenCon organizers threatened to move future events out of state as a response to a recent anti-abortion bill.
Some chud named Tim Waters (who I guess is a professor? Weird) wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post arguing that maybe instead people who go to gaming cons would prefer to focus on, y'know, gaming. That maybe turning every single event into a place to advance an agenda doesn't make for a healthy society. That maybe people play tabletop games to ESCAPE from the real world. All in all it's a pretty tame op-ed that only the truly deranged could find offense over.
Enter Wil Wheaton.
Wil, who you may remember from getting absolutely wrecked on r/drama back when it was good, is completely, utterly, indescribably ass-blasted over this article. Apparently suggesting that people may want to go 5 minutes without having DNC talking points shoved in their face is LITERALLY FASCISM YOU GUYS. If we don't bombard you with progressive politics 24/7 then everyone might as well be wearing a Klan hood. Showcasing just how little self-awareness he has, Wil even calls the author a fragile crybaby because apparently self-reflection is also fascism.
Seriously, guys, PLEASE go read the op-ed and then Wil's response. The dis-proportionality is mind-blowing, and frankly I think Tim Waters needs to be offered a mod position here immediately.
No there isn't any drama, I just fricking hate SRDines and want to mock them for getting this offended over a joke my dad used to make back in the 90s.

That link is the callout, here's the angry response and the beginning of a LONG slapfight:
Ars Technica is having A Moment over this, with 600(!) comments on this one article alone and multiple other articles in the last few days, all of which also have hundreds of comments.
Some of my favorites with their scores:
Time for a highly targeted 99.9999999999% wealth tax.
+111 (+228 / -117)
Christ what an butthole.
+154 (+266 / -112)
Seriously, all I want, all I ask for, is to go one day, one day, without having to hear about this butthole.
Is that really that much to ask for? He's the richest man on earth, is he really so starved for attention, is his life so empty, is he so unhappy, he needs the constant validation of a 24 hour news cycle revolving around him?
+134 (+219 / -85)
Elon is a douche. I hope his bid fails.
+17 (+50 / -33)
and those are just from the first page.
OP has a no-skill wagie job but wants to immediately shoot to high-level tech lead position within 5 years. Argues up and down the entire thread with people trying in vain to explain that positions are based on skills and knowledge, not how many times you've orbited the sun.
Leafs mad x24
Someone more clever than me come up with a better title and I'll edit it.
Just what the title says. No real drama but I like pooping on j-slurs so here we are.
Someone turns down a 140k/year job for a 65k/year job. Somehow this is capitalism's fault instead of his own bad decision. Even the other commies call him r-slurred.
Tons of "I'm not offended, it just looks bad/ugly/cringe" in there.
