I totally realize most people are going to disagree with me here but I feel compelled to say that closing the sub for a joke wasn't a very kind thing to do. We have seen TONS of posts from vulnerable populations talking about how this sub is a source of support and humor in a dark time. Irony and dirtbagism aside, taking away that support without warning was not okay.

You can say I'm being silly, or humorless or reactionary. Whatever. I love the drama and I love gillette razors. But sometimes I come home after dealing with ableism and our nightmare reality all day, and this sub is one of many things that make me feel better. It wasn't a good feeling to find this sub closed for the sake of irony. Maybe that's laughable or pathetic. But for me, it's true.

Turns out when they ban your sub they don't send you a fancy mail explaining why. I didn't even get a notification (though technically I wasn't the creator of the sub)

Anyways my guess is as good as yours. Here are my theories:

• Like you, I was banned from /r/drama for the pics u posted. I explained myself and got unbanned, but it's possible that annoysthegoys reported my sub to the admins before (or after) I had the chance to make a defense. So the admins eventually came along, and with no real context they decided it was a good idea to ban it for "harassment". Which is bs in my opinion but who the fuck cares roflmao

• Lawlz reported the sub, or some /r/drama mod reported it after talking to lawlz. Which would be odd because lawlz never said anything about the sub (at least not to me, or publicly on /r/drama). I had also asked for permission for the footer image before making the sub public, and he did give me permission.
  But if Lawlz did indeed report the sub it would explain why the admins didn't say anything before banning the sub.

• distortedlines reported it for calling him a manlet (ok not really)

• no one reported it; admins were looking at "new" subs and decided this was over the line.

anyways, it's gone now. which is a shame, really. i was looking forward to turning it into an unironic incel sub once lawlz said "shut it down".
