And it really isn't a political party thing. Hillary fucking hated Assange for the data dump and the Obama administration was seriously trying to shut down Wikileaks and bring Assange to court.
Assange was never a whistleblower, he was just an asshole pretending to be a real whistleblower.
Which insults all real whistleblowers and shows just what kind creep he was. Nobody could trust him and he would sell out anyone at anytime for any reason.
