Howdy partners!

I’m on time-out since /u/nyoronon has thinner skin than an aznidentity poster.

He bravely deleted his posts in shame after losing a glorious spergout we had and went into a deep state of COPE.

/u/bubbadism ty for posting the archive sweaty <3 you the MVP.

Oh no, the ban message was the creme.

You have been temporarily banned from participating in r/Drama. This ban will last for 1 days. You can still view and subscribe to r/Drama, but you won't be able to post or comment.

Note from the moderators:

As I said, power is the only thing that matters.

You mean that person is one of the mods?! They've got a KF page detailing their misdeeds and some of them are truly malicious.

Apparently that's a mod. Not said mod also wished me to off myself, which is a bannable offense...yet there she is.

And as far as power goes, her act didn't keep you from talking to people you cared to. That's no power move.

Precisely. It inconvenienced me that I'd have to ping drama users to answer their posts. But that's about it.

And as far as power goes, her act didn't keep you from talking to people you cared to. That's no power move.

Okay can you explain this drama to a me? What is this about?

Lolcow antics. Meme laywer wants to be the new Lawlz, huckleberry laughed at them and got banned. Turns out they have a KF page and they aren't a very nice person IRL. :/

Oh okay but how is this person a drama mod? Can you link their KF page?

You attack this lawyer because you know they already win.

Cope ban

I sincerely doubt no one will ever be sued, unless LA does something massively stupid. Many posts are obviously fake or nonactionable. Most wouldn't feel comfortable being the face of a lawsuit. And the few left can't afford an attorney. And good fucking luck getting a state AG to take interest.

/u/westphall Yep, anything hinting at cop -> bad, is gone. It's pathetic.

Wtf they muted you? God damn drama jannies are such faggots. I picture like 15 jannies and power users sitting in a discord giggling at banning people and masterlawl's shit posts.

The mod wanted to prove a point that her power > me. Hilariously I think said mod is a government pleb with wet dreams of power, so she really proved...my point.

Yo I got another question if you dont mind. Do you think anything will come from the phblisher vs platform 230 rule all the rightoids are screeching about? As a layman it makes sense, if you're shaping or directing the conversation then you should be responsible for what is said (I am amazed Reddit isn't forced to confirm ages of gonewild posters if theyre moderating and taking ad revenue) Or will preventing a handful of tech bro CEOs from controlling the conversation of the whole country require new legislation (e.g., internet bill of rights)?

Thanks

Ugh, that's a pile of fish mate, so here's a ramble. I think Sec. 230 needs a revamp. I'm not sure where I would come out on said revamp because I like free speech and believe even though platforms are privately owned, California did set a prime example in the shopping mall cases and the platforms use the government subsidized internet to even function.

I sincerely hope we don't have tech bros running the conversation. Rightoid or leftoid, letting the Zucc and company dictate who can talk, where, and when, and about what, will be phenomenally bad.

I do think there has to be accountability, such as Gonewild. It bothers me how there is no verification for that place or /r/sexsells. But, under Sec. 230, when you look at the Backpage litigation of years past, Reddit has immunity. Which I think is bullshit.

So we end up in an awkward place where someone like me wants as much speech as possible, but with reasonable requirements like, "hey, if it's nude, check that shit." IE, a state of nuance. Congress doesn't do nuance well. Plus, Daddy and the progressives manage to agree on one key thing: they don't like mean things that hurt feelings.

So...under current Sec 230, Reddit probably has immunity. If it's revamped, I would hope it is done in a way that holds if Reddit wants to stay immune, they have to minimize curated content around non-pornographic areas.

For porn, I know the libertarians would love underage stuff but I think reasonable minds would agree there has to be checks, if only to prevent people from becoming an accidental felon.

Thank you for the thorough reply, I appreciate it. I think we largely agree. I think free speech, especially from people I disagree with, is an absolute must. Save for child porn and specific threats or planning of violence, even then, it better be legitmate threats, not bs like 'gas the jews' or 'punch a nazi'

Social media companies deciding what can be said or not said is scary, but financial institutions closing accounts is truly fucking terrifying. Chase closed the account of the Proud Boy chairman. Just a few firms taking the same action can truly de-platform then de-person someone for wrong think.

Ugh the definancing thing is a whole ‘nother issue. But I agree with you. In general, if people aren’t breaking the law (or hurting one another) trying to deplatform/definance people is pretty unethical and completely against what the country stands for.

/u/sokolovez, god fucking dammit, I want to experience such joy. Where is this pasta from?

/u/AlveolarPressure and many posters to BOLA are...Sardines! Weird world.

Gross. The day of the can should extend to BOLA too. It's just as smug.

Mmmm god yessss

Even though that thin skinned wannabe lawyer told you to kys twice, you're the one who copped a ban?

RIP

Right? I wonder if the /r/drama mods condone this behavior.

I guess you get special privileges on r/drama when you totes "went to Harvard undergrad" and got "waitlisted" at Harvard law 😂😂😂

And are an admitted pedo. You missed that part.

/u/JustLions

Thanks for reminding me. That is a massive headache right there. The threads on recording people or posting recordings drive me up a wall. What's ok in one state may not be ok in another, or vice-versa.

I actually search the sub every now and then for my jurisdiction and send people to the province wide referral system. Anyone can get a free half hour (although most will give an hour) consultation with a lawyer.

It's fucking disgusting honestly. They seem oblivious to how much harm they are doing. Like goddamn homeopath.

Good on you. I mean that. I've contacted a few people in my jurisdiction and let them know of nonprofits in their area who may help.

/r/uviyd Yes, in their world the police do no wrong and you should obey everything they say.

Pedo Amy?

🤣🤣🤣

The same lol

What did you say to get a timeout?

I can't imagine it being worse than anything that little bitch has done with 15 year old kids.

It wasn't any one thing really. Amy goes "I AM the Deepstate" and huckles laughs at her for it. https://removeddit.com/r/Drama/comments/bmrnyd/-/emz8q1w

Ironically the individual in question made some...kys-esque comments and didn’t cop a ban. I just mocked them and hurt their little feelings by reminding them that government workers are plebs.

The Reddit admins, not mods, actually seem to be cracking down on KYS-esque and other threats while pinging/replying/PMing. I reported a few chapotards that posted similar comments and they were [deleted] shortly after. The Chapo mods said they didn't delete the comments and they assumed it was the admins.

I also got a 3 day ban for PMing a top50 power user, "You are a partisan piece of shit." Never got a warning or any infraction before this. mvea is a "MD-PhD-MBA | Clinical Professor/Medicine", has 17 million post karma, and jannies like 12 subs including a default. The dude posts all fucking day non-stop.

How the fuck can someone be so successful but also a pathetic loser at the same time. It's actually impressive.

Can't speak for r/CTH, but on here and Drama it's the mods removing all reported kys-comments and usually temp banning the user. It's one thing the admins are pretty clear they don't want, and it really doesn't contribute much so there's no reason to fight it and risk getting the sub banned.

What'd you do to get banned? Ban note points to some random ass comment

Literally nothing. Check the comments that were deleted. We had a nice spergout, then the coward deleted all their posts, banned me, and I got the coward mod message with no name saying:

As I said, power is the only thing that matters.

Which tags back to a deleted comment where the coward asserted power was everything 😂

They're not a mod, unless I'm out of the loop on someone pulling a long con. I think they're just friends with some mods on discord. Oh well, it's just a day - I wouldn't dwell on it

I figured it to be a mod’s alt account. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m more amused than anything since the message about power was so quintessential r-slur janitor.

everyone's moved to r/ZweiRama , thats what's happened here. its over for frenchcels

Oh godda- but I’m a mod here! 😭

Cope tbh

/u/lightumbra

Lawcels are rarely fun m8.

Be more fun.

Can’t, the clients get skittish when we start banging hookers in the conference room and discharging BARs at the law firm across the street.
