No, that's not a typo.

Apologies for formatting, I'm on mobile.

I started working at a gym a year ago and employment comes with a free membership. So why did I only start taking advantage of it a few months ago? Because every time I brought it up, people told me:

"But you're already thin!" šŸ™„šŸ™„ "You're beautiful just how you are!" šŸ˜’šŸ˜’ "You don't need to go to the gym!" šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø "Don't waste you're time! You're perfectly healthy!" šŸ˜ šŸ˜ 

And I let them convince me it was a waste of time. What a mistake that was.

I'm 5'4" and 145 pounds. I've always been in the "healthy weight" range, but after I threw my back out for the second time at the age of 24, I realized that even though I was thin, I was not in shape. I decided I'd use my gym membership to do the core exercises given to me by my doctor, And that's when I discovered that working out was not only helping my back, but I enjoyed doing it! I started working on different parts of my body (arms, legs, shoulders, chest, etc.) spending 1-2 hours at the gym 3 times a week and taking my dog on daily walks. My depression and anxiety weren't as severe, my posture and my mood improved, I felt like a whole new person!

So when my friend told me the other day that she was thinking of joining a gym, I told her: "That's awesome! We should workout together some time!" If you want to go to the gym, good for you! If you don't want to go to the gym, good for you!

Unless you're someone's doctor, you have no business telling them what they should or shouldn't do with their body.

How is 5'4 and 145 a healthy weight? Women pro wrestlers who have lots of muscle are around that height or a little taller and they weight around 10 to 20 lbs less.
