A world without Kim Lip’s Eclipse 🙁

So, this is Kim Lip https://i.imgur.com/bWruO3Z.jpg

Yup, she’s very pretty. She’s from this girl group called Loona but spelled in an edgy way LOOΠΔ. This group is as edgy as k-pop could get. By that I mean, instead of debuting as a group, they introduced the members one by one with their own singles first. They have like 12 members but apart from Kim Lip, I only like Yves https://i.imgur.com/RuHHIte.jpg and Olivia Hye https://i.imgur.com/svaAOJ5.jpg It’s because their singles have synth pop retro feel to it.

Kim Lip’s music video being the most A E S T H E T I C S out of all. She looked very flowly and effortless. Hand movements on point a hair flips on point. They even hid her worst feature cleverly aka her nose. And her vocals were unique enough.

Just as soon as I fell in love with it, there was some drama with their record company or something which I don’t care enough to find out. Long story short. It was removed from Spotify. Even though it’s still in my library, it’s no longer playable. I decided to cough up and buy from iTunes. Well, it’s not there either! https://i.imgur.com/a5FM7rB.jpg

So, I’m having to listen from YouTube that has no repeat button!! You can imagine my frustration!

The only solace I get is realizing that Kim Lip is not that pretty with less makeup, no purple shampoo for the hair and without photoshop https://i.imgur.com/qifbgpw.jpg and therefore, I shouldn’t obsess over her that much.

inderesding :DD

nod really :DDDD

Those songs were really not good but I don't like much traditional pop music. Is there an alt-idol thing in Korea? I'm only somewhat familiar with the japanese stuff. Recommended me some weird shit. I saw you mention blanck mass the other week so I know you aren't completely devoid of taste.

Thanks for the complinsult! 😂😂😒😒 I was just listening to new Blanck Mass singles earlier.

I don’t know much about k-pop tbh. Within the mainstream, Loona and Sunmi are all I listen to. This is Sunmi’s Noir

However, there are some really unground k-not-so-pop music that I really like.

This is my favorite. She used to make this very dreamy but synthy music under the name 유카리 Yukari. This song is one of my favorites.

It’s like My Bloody Valentine meets synth pop. I also love this track. It sounds very festive but futuristic.

Now she releases music under the name Aseul. It sounds more experimental and synth pop rather than dream pop. This is my favorite.

There’s another group I like called Saram12Saram. They also have these Synthpop sound sometimes that paints a sad dark future landscape in my head. It’s more of an atmosphere than an actual genre itself like this song.

Other songs sound very laidback and “quiet”. I like that too like this one. Their two albums are actually better if you listen to it at one go because they do different reductions of the same song.

This one is very new. She just recently blew up on bandcamp this year with her EP. ** 박혜진 [Park Hye Jin]** makes your usual Deep House but it’s unique enough that she caught my attention. I like this one

Another one is Peggy Gou. Her music has been very hit or miss for me but I really liked her Moment EP. This song just gives me pool vibes.

** 카페 나이트 Café Nights** is the recent one I discovered. It’s just vaporwave and chillwave remixes of old Korean songs and I’m digging it. This one is my favorite.

Thanks. Very nice. Those are all much more to my taste.

I listened to that Yukari - Echo album on Spotify on the drive home from work today. It's quite good. I'm a fan of that super lush dreampop sound. Very soothing. I didn't even shoot any of my fellow Americans on the road for once. 🔫🔫

Wow, yet you still call yourself a burgercel?

I brandished my pistol to assert dominance during a lane change several times but I never actually fired the thing. I must be slipping
