your issue is that you consider "the left" as some monolithic block of "people I disagree with". this is the result of lacking political nuance, if learning about other political positions through your "own side's" propaganda.
also "tankie" is not a term for communists either, the coherent usage is as a descriptor for communists who uncritically support certain states.
