Someone in my school paper wrote that children growing up on marvel movies like Greta will save the world from climate change. I feel like it’s the perfect opposite of this article.
Before telling everybody what they should be doing, we rightly expect preachers to have some experience of real life and to have actually achieved something.
Basically, since WWII ended, there was no REAL existential thread to people in the west. This is why people now love doomsday porn.
Some guys on reddit told me I do not know how bad climate change really is. However, they just don't know how much I really do not care about all this bad stuff. At least compared to actual tragedies. I do not care if Sweden gets the climate of Germany, and Germany the climate of Italy, and Italy the climate of Tunisia. I really do not care if 10%-30% of all animals go instinct. Most of them are useless insects anyway. And I also do not cate that in 2100, there will be only 5000 instead of 25000 polar bears. I know that this stuff is bad, but compared to the other stuff that still happens in this time (and compared to other times this is already a great time), climate change is really only ONE of multiple things we should focus on. We should not destroy the whole economy because a depressed child has a literal autistic obsession with CO2 and therefore thinks it matters more than everything else.
If this is the only way you can put down anti-Greta posts (since no normal person would be on the side of some petulant 16 year old saint) without making it seem like you're agenda-pushing, then so be it
