This dude's tard wrangler is so happy he discovered Reddit, because that way he spends 12 hrs a day posting instead of being out in the world starting shit.
This sub is what happens when minimally educated unintelligent people join together to find common ground and project their own self loathing to the rest of the world. There has never been anything clever that I have ever seen from this sub. I will continue to look for humor but I am just starting to think that loss and anger plus unemployment equals humor
The post linked doesn't even question it. It's somebody saying that schools should at least teach a little bit more about other massacres and genocides of the same era.
According to Aristotle, there are three categories of ethos:
phronesis β useful skills & wisdom
arete β virtue, goodwill
eunoia β goodwill towards the audience
In a sense, ethos does not belong to the speaker but to the audience. Thus, it is the audience that determines whether a speaker is a high- or a low-ethos speaker.
Violations of ethos include:
The speaker has a direct interest in the outcome of the debate (e.g. a person pleading innocence of a crime);
The speaker has a vested interest or ulterior motive in the outcome of the debate;
The speaker has no expertise (e.g. a lawyer giving a speech on space flight is less convincing than an astronaut giving the same speech).
Your comment history, and the company you invest time and resources in, informs your potential audience of your ethos --
Your comment history contains open hostility and bad faith engagement; Your comment above is hostile ("That's dishonest") -- Therefore your arete and eunoia are low.
That allows your immediate audience -- the people whom you are engaging -- to then assess the immediate eunoia that you've presented to them in your immediate comment, within the broader context of your history on Reddit.
You always have the option of making conscious choices regarding:
How you treat other people;
With whom you choose to collaborate;
What social causes you choose to invest in;
In what regard you hold yourself, and your audience.
In a sense, you're extremely lucky; Karma scores are mostly meaningless and worthless.
Ethos -- the system that society has held more valuable for 3,000 years than the token system of "karma" that Reddit has implemented for a decade -- is far more valuable.
It's your choice of how to proceed from here --
But Ethos isn't yours to deny. And /u/Barffing's ethos was sufficient for her to be selected to moderate that subreddit.
Her motivation there is to kick the Nazis out, and help make a small part of the world a better place.

That implies he has the testosterone levels to speak up to someone

And you're implying turbo-autists have enough social awareness to realize they're being douchnozzles

A 40 year old troid who was cucked by two wives and emotionaly abused by their mother.
They fit in with all the other Reddit power mods, mentally damaged losers who grasp on to whatever power they can.

Where is backstory on this?

Post history. People love to spill out all their embarrassing stories to strangers on the internet apparently.

Time to dig around then...

Who would pay him for anything? He overcompensates for being a retard IRL by trying to sound smart online.
