P&G's newest multi million dollar drama factory: removing the "female" symbol from Always products

18  2019-10-25 by UnalignedRando

Memba' when the same group who owns both brands thought it would be a great idea to hire braindead feminists to make a Gillette ad denouncing "toxic masculinity" that totally didn't blow up in their faces?

After that trying to sell more razors to feminists by featuring a beached whale plus size model.

At this points you'd think they'd carefully weigh any controversial marketting decision. Instead they decided to remove the female symbol from Always gussy plugs and towels.

We've got to thank their unending will to throw millions at marketting experts, that'll end up losing them even more millions through their bullshit. That's a rare dedication to drama. Few businesses are willing to lose millions just to entertain the internet.

Now /r/GenderCritical is seething (I mean, more than usual) :

After losing a good chunk of Gillette's male market in order to try to sell feminists more shaving products, their galaxy brain move is to alienate actual menstruating gussies to get that more traction on that coveted less than 1% "weirdo" market.

Aren’t most trannies streetwalkers anyways? Do they really have the extra money to shell out for needless hygiene products just to try to follow a cargo cult of womanhood?

According to /r/GenderCritical trannies collected used tampons from trash cans and stick them up their asses.

do you not?

Seems I don't know how to have fun in 2019.

i wasn't aware period products had "luxury taxes" on them? do they mean basic sales taxes? lmfao

No it's their bullshit "female tax" (as in equivalent products being more expensive for women). Which of course wouldn't make any sense, it's not like they make feminine hygiene products for men. And if they did /r/GenderCritical would be angry about it on general principle.

I guess some places apply full sales tax to it (instead of the reduced rate for what's considered necessities).

I know where I am "essentials" (includes things like food, hygiene products, school supplies...) have a significantly reduced VAT (like a fifth of normal).

in freedom land we don't have crazy VATs (or vats at all? ive never seen one), we do have federal, state, and city sales taxes, and outside tax holidays i dont know of any product where you dont pay the full tax rate on it.

I think in the end VAT and sales taxes are the same (a tax paid by the end user of the product).
