barrack obama's father probably isn't that kenyan guy anyways, low key it's probably frank marshall who was obama's long time mentor. Obama has basically tried to erase him from his history

If this was a right meme the lurking Fugees would come out to upvote.

I'm on this sub for the first time and still can't tell if you people are being serious

It depends. Do you mean serious, or "serious"?

Like, is this post actually an attempt to show that Obama is from Hawaii? "No one from Kenia was found that remembers Obama as a kid" lmfao like this can't be for Real, right?

I mean like, using that as "evince"

There was a widespread conspiracy theory circa 2012 that believed Obama was born in Kenya instead of Hawaii, which would have made his election as president illegitimate. As with most conspiracy theories, believers engaged in confused, paranoid, self-serving logic and ignored actual evidence to the contrary.

This comic parodies their logic. Instead of asserting something which is widely understood as false, it uses the same confused logic to assert something widely understood as true. Notice the assertion that Obama's baseball uniform had letters on it with a secret coded message; this type logic is utterly nonsensical in the real world, but common among conspiracy theorists.

Conspiracy theorists latched onto the fact there was no public birth certificate for Obama (nevermind that the state of Hawaii never releases anyone's birth certificate). This comic parodies that logic by stating, in fact, Obama had no birth certificate in Kenya, so he must be Hawaiian.

Anyway I posted it here because we're a drama board, which means we love to laugh at people. This was an indirect way of laughing at people who get worked up about a conspiracy.
