The book is called Cottonwood. It was released digitally in 2013 and the author always writes about boning weird creatures. The good thing is her world building is on point. She wrote this before District 9 came out and had to rewrite it because it was too similar.

So, much like District 9, aliens crashed and landed on earth. They were quarantined and this chick was a super SJW terrestrial rights type. She ended up bonding with one of the aliens who have a kid. She became like a mommy to the kid too.

They began to understand each other’s languages after a while. The alien guy was some shrimp like thing similar to the ones in District 9. Their first sexual experience was her screaming to stick it in her and he was confused. He stuck something in but later he revealed that he didn’t get off because the thing he used to stick it in was not his genitals.
