I never supported reparations and made fun of twitter folks who kept asking for money from Mayos. It’s because to me their arguments were weak and they just want the money for themselves.

However, I read a bit about the massacre in 1921 and it’s just plain wrong. And because the people (if you can call them that) were never really brought to justice, how do you (if you are an American) compensate the victims from their robbed future. They had something that would benefit the black communities for decades to come and it was taken from them. Imagine if they were never murdered. Their wealth would be passed down to the next generations they never got to have. Some of them would have definitely gave back to the communities that would have boosted the growth of poor income households. Tons of black people had their futures robbed because of this.

So, there needs to be something given back somehow. It’s just not fair. If you’re an American, you should at least do something about it.
