Only a stable and trusting society can tolerate individualism and multiculturalism, which, ironically, spend down stability and trust like an urban white woman with an alimony check, never thinking about where any of it came from and never replenishing the principal balance. Thus, liberal theories of freedom are self-undermining and long-run unsustainable. This is a useful frame and can be applied to many other issues.
