Aren't Ferengi shrewd businessmen? I don't know that the transgender method of social interaction lends to a good career as a merchant. Imagine how different history would have gone if The Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) or Marco Polo attempted to do business with knives to their own throats as methods of persuasion and they didn't have the money to go and end up doing what they did.
