I let my friend use my phone for something for a sec and he just goes on reddit, sees my drama account and is like “this is kinda racist dude”
All flustered, I said “n-n-no! It’s not actually racist”
So he’s like “you said nigger fifteen times today”
“Irony! It’s all ironic!” I responded, clearly exacerbated
He looks me directly in the eye, disappointed, and starts reading a comment before stopping in disgust “Islam was right about wo- DUDE!”
I quickly interject before he gets the wrong idea “it’s funny because of the juxtaposition of liberal feminists largely supporting Islam while it contradicts thei-“
“Bro,” he cut me off - “I know I don’t need to educate you on how reinforcing the false idea that all Muslims are socially regressive is problematic, do I? You’re smarter than that my man”
Unable to respond I just regressed into a puddle of tears and pathetic toxic masculinity. How had I been taken apart by such a chad? He was so casual about it while I was in hysterics from the start.
Sobbing to myself, I tried to muster one last “dude bussy lmao” but he just smiled at me like you’d smile at a Down syndrome baby, kneeled down to my height and put his arms around me.
He didn’t need to say anything more. His safe and protecting arms spoke more sense to me than any more of his wise words could.
In that moment, I let go of hate and deleted my drama account.
