I was at a party and some girl (who I didn't see - just heard girlish screams) pushed past me and I joked to my friend that she was a "feisty lass." Some girl overheard me and told me my language was racist and imperialist. After I explained to her why that doesn't make any sense, especially given I hadn't seen the other girl, she started to call herself dumb over and over again. Just made me feel sad for her honestly. This level of unfounded wokeness really does come from a place of insecurity I guess.
