For as long as I can remember, I've attributed all of Kudrow's roles to Paltrow, forgetting that Lisa Kudrow even existed. I never really watched Friends, and for some reason I've always remembered Phoebe as being played by Gwyneth Paltrow.

Gwyneth Paltrow in that era was a high-brow movie star with an Academy Award. She was way too prestigious to be on Friends. It's only after that when she became the joke that she is now.
