SARS came from Civets, COVID 19 it's not entirely clear yet, the strain has a 90% match to a strain present in Pagolins so researchers originally thought it came from there, but now that's in doubt, they think there's another part of the puzzle.
Bat isn't part of Chinese cuisine and they don't eat bats, that's Palau cuisine.
