I think as a man in our society we aren't allowed to get emotional. So the release of all that pent up sadness, etc. was very cathartic.

I can’t imagine being weak and useless enough to break a bone. People who break bones are the scum of the earth. If I was a doctor I wouldn’t bother putting a cast on a broken bone, instead I would just kill the patient. How can someone who breaks a bone function in society, pathetic. A couple days ago a 4th grader asked me to sign his cast, I spat on him and pushed him to the ground. I can’t be bothered with non milk drinkers. A cast is the mark of a bitch and a dysfunctional member of society

My wife was the same way. I couldn't talk about in while I was in that head space because everytime I tried I started bawling more. I managed to get out "Tomorrow" to let her know that I would be able to tell her today without losing it.
She knows. She was sitting in her chair next to me reading her phone. She really was dumbfounded how the show was affecting me. I couldn't tell her why till today after I calmed down.
If I recall correctly, Eleanor and Chidi were going to run away to the dot in the I. And from a quick googles, it also Represents Tuesdays and Julys (also TIL was a way for the writers to make the concept of time in the show less comparable to regular viewers’ current concept of time) so a lotta shit goes down on that I
