If you can pay 60k tuition with no scholarship, you are swimming in cash. I remember these international students, they pretty much all cheat, and can hardly speak English. God help you if you have a group project with one of them.

Especially when coming from a country with a lower standard of living. Means their parents are like in .5% financially, and they could comfortably go to the best universities in their countries (or neighbouring ones that have treaties on those issues).

Or go to a local university, join an exchange program to go to any country, and it's basically free (at least no extra tuition compared to your local university). But of course those programs are selective, and they're limited to a year at a time, so your parents money can only take you so far.

Compared to having them pay for years of tuition and living expenses so that you can go to any country you like right away.
