It's not just Big Jewish momma, either. The benefit of having family actively working in the same careers that Jewish kids are looking to enter, can't be understated.
The ability to bounce ideas off of people who know the landscape, and who can advise on life choices, means that Jewish kids tend to have a knowledge base that their counterparts from other groups might not have.
Pretty much every lawyer or doctor I know has at least one family member in the field, and were helped on their path by those same individuals mentoring them.
