My other story is of when my bf (M,Chinese) and I (F, American-raised Korean) were innocently walking home and having a normal conversation in English when a Chinese guy of about 40 yrs and 170 cm shouted something at us. It immediately got physical, and I yelled in Chinese: ä½ æ”¾æ‰‹ (let him go) as he and my bf, who had height advantage of 15 cm, had mutual death grips on each other. I was thinking how I didn't want it to escalate and have cops called or anything, and wondering what could have upset said guy so much he attacks people given his obvious disadvantage in a fight situation. Guy then yelled at me something about how it's disgraceful that we are all Chinese but speaking these garbage languages instead. I began swearing at him in Korean, and he told me "fuck you" in 3 syllables "fa-ke-you". So then I swore at him in English. In the end, when he realized I was really a foreigner, he hugged my bf in congratulations and walked off apologizing. Weird country.
