In the UK, Irish travellers, that is Irish people who bought caravans and moved to the UK to fight and steal, got recognised by the UN as a distinct race so are protected from all forms of discrimination.
They're also a distinct race in Ireland so the government and police don't have to waste their time with them and just give them handouts. Destroying estates, robbery, scamming and animal abuse are all "just part of their culture"
