Universities are shit and you can learn most degrees by yourself or online. But unless you get that paper most jobs are out of your reach, specially in Europe where you better have a degree to be even a blue collar worker. You'll also find that universities are monopolies in a way, and receive state power. That's why they are so expensive, their personal overpaid, extremely entitled and receive more and more money from the state: even if you didn't go to college, you're still paying for everyone else
I said most, my brother is studying mechanical engineering and spends like 15 hours I a week in lab. And you learn most from internships. Econometrics was the only difficult subject in my career and I learned more self studying and fiddling with R than by simply going to class. Most of my classes were reading a PowerPoint, giving an explanation and doing examples. You could see all that in a video. The most useful things I got from unuversity were: an internship and commentary by certain teachers who worked on the private sector and how to apply certain concepts (all that knowledge could've been condensed into 3 hour videos per subject)
No they donโt have to spend money on it, but that is besides the point anyway. But you canโt get that through your shallow morally superior head. Fucking idiot. Your just a idiot. Your not just disagreeing, your misunderstanding bc your shallow and fucking stupid.
well if you wanna bring up post history, you seem to post in nothing but AP subs. are you okay? Mentally? Has the studying rotted your braincells??? ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Also this is a trivial attempt at an insult. It has no demonstrable basis. Iโve been reading peopleโs apush essays (about 15 so far) and grading them. definitely much more useful than whatever youโre doing here. Shallow prig.
Everything makes a lot of sense now. Where the superiority complex comes from by not actually interacting and understanding, but making broad blanket statements that appeal to some impracticable morality something you donโt actually have to care about because none of the issues actually pertain to yo7z
yeah, but it's about wanting to. that's what made me laugh about the original thread. people were acting as if they NEEDED to take the AP/SAT or their future would be Horrible, and i got downvoted when i linked to a list of test-optional schools.
nobody wanted a solution to stop giving CB money. they just wanted to complain while at the same time willfully handing over hundreds they "didn't want" to.
a person is free to say CB is garbage and also make them profit, but that's like me going to a clothes store, saying all the clothes are disgusting and ugly, but still buying them. it does nothing and i have no right to be surpised when people call me out on that fact.
You linked a list of 27 schools. Of literally hundreds. And there were plenty of art schools on the list, as well as schools where you would be heavily disadvantaged for not taking AP classes.
This isn't an alternative, at least not for the type of competitive students who take AP classes in the first place. If anything, it's letting CB win.
here's 1200. you have to do some give-and-take here, since some have technicalities and the like, but there's a ton that are totally test-optional.
obviously i can't comb through 1200 schools, but there's probably one that meets your requirements, unless your major/plan is really rare.
seriously. you genuinely don't have to take any of these exams if you don't want to. i don't know where this idea came from - probably advertising + the general brainwashing that comes with education - that if you don't take these exams you're screwed somehow.

lol half of engineering fields outside of codemonkey jobs cannot be learned effectively online
and despite "social sciences" being mongoloid tier, no one who makes this comment understands correlation/causation.

1 keanureevescock 2020-05-17

You do if you want the AP credit lmao
1 keanureevescock 2020-05-17
Yes.
1 Sheyren 2020-05-17
Which is why you take the AP classes. Which are in many schools the only alternative to what would otherwise a lower level course.
