Reddit has been primarily populated by young, upper middle class pseuds since day one. The only real difference between then and now is that back then they were all alpha nerds who thought knowing what binary is made them cool, whereas now they just think not knowing anything at all makes them cool. The narcissism, desire for free shit, virulent hatred for anyone not exactly like them, and susceptibility to propaganda hasn't changed at all.
