That's because Millenials think everything froze in time when they got into uni. They don't realise that they're now no longer the cool kids, and insufferable late middle-aged people are just a little older than them. They also think it's OK to have "gamer" or "Marvel fan" as their identity when they're pushing 40. (And yeah I know that Zoomers invented "OK Boomer" but millennials drove it into the ground because they're still butthurt about their own parents).
