He did a video in south africa a while back. Someone in the comments brought up that white farms where being targeted for their race. He said that he talked to people in south africa and said they it wasn't true. Ever since then a lot of rightoids speculated that he was a SRA supporter. He has came out and said he he isn't a socialist or a member of John brown gun club. I guess some people still believe he is today though.
Ian is apolitical but skeptical. He’s unwilling to believe a narrative without investigating things first hand. And to be fair he has been to SA whereas most of his critics have not.
Autistic people and 4chan types (but I repeat myself) interpret his unwillingness to blindly believe right-wing talking points as having left-wing proclivities. Anyone who actually watches his videos knows that the reality is that he’s just the kind of person who often doesn’t accept common knowledge.
Like for example he calls the Carcano one of the best designed bolt action rights of WW2 whereas “everyone knows” that it was a bad rifle. That doesn’t mean that he’s secretly a member of a political party that likes Carcanos. It just means that he has a mind of his own.

A ton of people have tried to paint him as a SRA/JBGC member for years now. It's pretty weird tbh.
