They also have a doctor available in a hurry who can administer any number of stupefying medicines to nullify someone having a violent psychotic incident or some drug/alcohol induced freakout.

My cousin who's a nurse (in Europe) was just asking me last week why the police in America don't have sedative gas for thrashing criminals. Because sometimes when there's a thrashing criminal in her hospital they have to have the police come and knock him out so that the nurses can strap him into the bed. I asked her what kind of gas exactly and she didn't know, but "it's harmless, it just knocks them out".
