[Gossip] The mods of r/Technology, and r/WTF have been accused of censorship of anti-Google/Samsung submissions.

First off, yay, I love me a good ole fashioned attempt at a site wide conspiracy. Let's us take a look, shall we?

So, this post calls out the mods of r/Technology and r/WTF for "improperly" removing posts that speak ill of Google and Samsung.

Uncovering the cold hard truth, or a conspiracy? Commenters look to the past seeking some kind of pattern, and lo and behold, discover one.

Another Reddit user provides some other examples of posts being "improperly" removed. This user also provided some links to other forums accusing the same companies of similar behavior.

From one of the allegedly affected forums:

Thanks to Styrafoam and BlahBlahYouToo for highlighting what appears to be some form of astroturfing or shill advertising. I will say that I'm sorry to you guys for letting this thread go on like it has for so long.

From another allegedly affected forum:

In all seriousness, while there is the off chance you're just some really devoted fanboy, it sure seems veeeeeeery fishy and I don't really buy it.

So, has Reddit, and its mods been involved in a pro-Google/Samgsung advertising scandal, or are all of these removals simply a case of the posts being against the rules of the subreddits they are posted in?

Coincidences, conspiracies, and tin foil hats aside, this is truly hilarious to watch.

Enjoy!
