What is The Red Pill?

The Red Pill (TRP) is kind of a pants-on-head-stupid mixture of the fear of Feminism from MRA, the mysoginy and "game theory" of PUA, and the frustrated, "it can't be me" rage of Incels.

What's their core philosophy?

"Feminism is a vast conspiracy designed to prevent beta-males from having sex as often as alpha-males, because all women are subject to their baser instincts and cannot control themselves around "alphas". Thus, in order to score women, I should learn to treat women like shit and reject anything that I ever thought I heard a feminist say, ever. Also, rape within realationships doesn't real and I should be allowed to hit women". No, seriously. Keep reading, I'll back this up soon.

Why should I care, and why is this on r/Drama?

OK, so here's where it gets fun. TRP has been getting noticed A LOT in the last few days, like more than they were. The big thing in the #drama IRC (which you should all be hanging out in!) for a while was popping into #TheRedPill to troll/shitstir/ask-actual-questions. Here's links to a couple of logs, below, with some choice quotes picked out. Please note, these people are abject cowards who will not hesitate to use the ban-hammer on anyone who doesn't immediately fall down at the feet of their logical rationality.

First IRC Chat in #TheRedPill

It took a little while for things to get going, so the start of the pastebin is mainly users from #drama (BiPolarBear0, Celocanth14, Schadenfreude (me) and Fab500. Things pick up when Roger and Morpheus chime in, but I think our winner for the night was TRP user Kday:

Kday: Our philosophy is learning the tools and knowledge to thrive in reality as it actually exists.

Kday: No being respectable gets you women, and in a few years that woman is going to be fucking some trucker while taking half of what you own.

There's the bitterness! Get used to this.

Kday: No i've never been married. Im 23

So, we're speaking to an authority here

Kday: But I have been beta in my past relationships which caused them to fail. I don't ever blame the woman, they can't help it. Its what they are conditioned to do.

This is what we call psuedoscience, if you didn't know. Psuedoscience is the basis of the TRP philosophy

Schadenfreude: Kday: [18:39:48] <Schadenfreude> so if I get this straight, what you're saying is that you have to change the way you behave, because women are too stupid to change the way THEY behave?

Kday: Yes

Kday: I didn't call them stupid I said they can't help themselves.

That's right ladies, you're not stupid. You just can't overcome your base instincts the way these manly-men can!

Kday: I never listen to women anymore, I only listen to what they respond to and their actions.

That's the important part to understanding these idiots. The real drama pops up in the actual pastebin logs, which I invite people to dissect in the comments. Pay particular attention to Scutagium, the hero #drama needed that night. He really stirs things up by demanding real, peer-reviewed scientific proof of TRPs claims. You can imagine how that went down.

Second IRC Chat in #theredpill

This was a much shorter chat, where Schadenfreude (me) and Fab500 attempted to get TRP to explain their stance on rape.

Schadenfreude: ok, so I was looking at TheBluePill sub today after I found you guys, and found this posting. Schadenfreude: OK, sure, but what about the rest of it?

@Son-of-Man: You'll have to be more specific.

Schadenfreude: well, OK

Schadenfreude: what about date rape? You take a girl out, get her drunk, and fuck her knowing that she wouldn't be into it sober. Is that OK?

@Son-of-Man: There are a few problems with that question.

@Son-of-Man: 1.) Unless I'm holding a gun to her head, she got herself drunk.

@Son-of-Man: 2.) Her "not being into it sober" is such an ambiguous statement it is nearly impossible to define.

@Son-of-Man: 3.) The definition of rape should never change based on her feelings, although it often does.

This one was less drama-y, but I wanted to include it because it's a fantastic example of how spineless TRP gets when confronted with the implications of what they're saying. Most of that chat is spent with us rephrasing questions until they fit the specific mold that TRPers can respond to without sounding like monsters. Not that they aren't afraid of doing that.

You might also notice that Redpill has a mirror sub, /r/thebluepill. This is a great source for TRP stupidity. They're so great, in fact, that they even get the occasional TRPer, such as EccentricDuck, or the time Roe decided to do a mini-AMA.

OK, that was a lot of words. What's the take away?

I'd like to see us all come together and really appreciate just how insane and stupid some people can be. This post may not have contained the most absurd drama, but it's a quality of drama that isn't often found. We don't get to find a real, honest-to-goodness badguy to make fun of very often.
