Censorship Drama in ELI5 -- Someone asks "What's SRS & why does everyone hate it". A mod from previous ELI5 censorship drama (involving tumblr feminists) removes anti-SRS comments and answers to critics of ELI5 censorship.

Yesterday, /r/explainlikeimfive mod /u/Amarkov found themselves in SRD for banning and censoring comments that were critical of Tumblr feminism in a thread about Tumblr feminists. They openly admitted to being a Tumblr feminist and did not see any problems with how they behaved as a moderator when they attempted to address criticism of their moderating in SRD. Today, an ELI5 thread asking "What's SRS and why does everyone hate them?" had its top comment deleted by a moderator before 3 other moderators and /u/Amarkov came into the thread to denounce more comments about SRS before defending the moderation of their subreddit.

Moderator /u/Dr_Merkwurdiglieberemoving the top comment of the thread for "for making broad, sweeping generalizations and being in all likelihood more than a little biased."

Moderator /u/anonymous123421 supports the removal of the top comment by correcting the user who posted the comment because their information was apparently incorrect.

Moderator /u/Mason11987 supports the removal of the top comment by saying that calling SRS "shit tier human beings" is unacceptable and he goes on to say the following before being downvoted:

Just like we wouldn't let people here make derogatory insults towards a race, gender, or sexual orientation, we won't allow blanket insults towards this group of people either. Removing.

The moderator at the center of yesterday's censorship drama /u/Amarkov asks commenters about censorship and gets downvoted.
