Synopsis:

Bottom of the 9th, one out, score tied at 4-4. Player hits the ball, fielder throws home for 2nd out. Catcher throws to third base for 3rd out. 3rd baseman misses the ball. Fielder and runner stumble over each other. MLB rule declares that if intent to obstruct runner doesn't matter, only that an obstruction occurs. When obstruction occurs, baserunner is awarded the number of bases the umpire believes the runner would have accomplished without being obstructed. This winning run was awarded to Allen Craig on a technicality.

If any of this is not clear, comment and I will try to clarify.
