A news site called "The Information" ran an interview with prominent venture capitalist Paul Graham, in which he is quoted as saying:

We can't make women look at the world through hacker eyes and start Facebook because they haven't been hacking for the past 10 years.

Tech blogs and Twitter feeds blow up in anger, spearheaded by who else but Gawker Media.

The tide then turns as Graham responds, claiming that the quote was altered from what he originally said. TechCrunch founder and notorious drama llama Michael Arrington piles on, backing up Graham. The Information responds, defending its story, and Arrington responds again.

Meanwhile, the story takes up one two three slots on the front page of reddit-alike Hacker News and generates hundreds of comments there. This chain of comments is particularly juicy.
