Toronto ravers very unhappy about music venue being taken away.

Very recently Toronto passed a bill which banned EDM shows from being played on government owned property, but essentially just bans it from Exhibition place, which is a very big venue. The big drama is comes from suspicions of government corruption.

This article (http://thump.vice.com/en_ca/words/toronto-just-banned-electronic-dance-music-concerts-on-its-public-grounds) goes into more detail, but the gist of it is apparently the owner of Muzik, a smaller club right across from Exhibition, told some government officials that he is worried kids go to EDM shows and do lots of crazy drugs and pedophiles do to those shows and so the government shouldn't be supporting that. Instead he will keep a watchful eye over them when he puts on his own EDM shows.

Now Toronto ravers, who are gathering on the Toronto Rave Community Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/torontoravecommunity/), are up in arms doing everything they can to reverse the bill and get Muzik shutdown.
