Brony drama spans multiple Internet communities.

The drama begins with a Tumblr post about how a brony totally tried to abduct a little girl and molest her at a convention. Here's the pertinent info:

My point here: this is why I fucking hate “bronies.” Because grown-ass men are flooding into a space carved out for children—often little girls—and are making it unsafe for them.

And:

But I also met a lot of skeevy dudebros. A lot of guys in fedoras loudly discussing sexual shit in a room with children. Guys who drew/sold/displayed really fucking inappropriate “fanart,” including gross bodypillows that had no purpose in a little kids’ toy convention. I met a guy who gushed with absolute glee about the pleasure he derives from “corrupting innocence.” I met a lot of people who wanted to take something sweet and nice for children and make it about THEM. A lot of guys who wanted to make it about their dicks. People who made it UNSAFE for the intended audience to even be in attendance.

Chances are, this story 110% totally happened, you can tell because of the CAPS, bold text, and fedora dudebros. Doesn't matter, because the brony community rages. You can read more at the above link (too long to direct quote) but this made me lol:

This is another example of crap that helps no one. How is it possible that you hate a group of people enough to make up fictional stories about pedophilia and child abduction. Seriously, OP, what is wrong with you? Are you that desperate for notes? :/

If any of this really happened, you’re totally in the wrong, and you totally handled this poorly. Everything everyone above me has said is right - police take missing child notifications or attempted child abductions very seriously. If children go missing in grocery stores they shut the whole operation down and don’t let anyone in or out of the complex until the child is found.

Now, this Tumblr drama gets linked to TIA. ArchangelleBonerEnvy makes his opinion known.

There's just far too many genuinely creepy fucks in that community, it's only a matter of time before one of the lonely bastards who sexualize the show get bored of spanking it to underage cartoons and become even more deviant. Eventually we're going to hear that one of them kidnapped a young girl, probably kept her in his MLP-themed masturbation chamber, forced to wear a tail and rainbow colored clothes and face paint.

To say that's not likely is like saying NAMBLA only has emotional relations with young boys.

Mad, ponyfuckers?

He goes on:

MLP will soon replace the old "free candy" trick pedos use to bait young kids.

Furthermore:

Haha, that would be a good point if there weren't tons of bronies currently looking at detailed drawings of horse vaginas on a cartoon character made to appeal to 8 year old girls. Eight year old girls. They share a fandom with eight year old girls, and they are sexualizing it.

Is that perfectly acceptable to you?

And he ponders whether bronies may develop into pedophiles:

No shit. Ask anybody familiar with criminal psychology and they will tell you that sexual deviancy, especially when younger, is a major precursor to sexual crime. And yes, sexualizing an innocent children's show is absolutely deviant.

TIA goes nuts defending deviant bronies with things like, "Well, it doesn't hurt anyone," and "there's rule 34 of everything, maaaan."

One person does not speak for a group. There are creeps in every group. I'm curious at the correlation between being a pedophile and liking MLP.

And:

There isn't one. I know a huge array of bronies. Most of them are normal, sane human beings who like a TV show and that's it. In fact, most of them debunk the whole "hipster fedora" crap that plagues the brony community. Hell, if you saw me, you'd never even realize I'm a brony unless I was a wearing a shirt or you saw my keychain.

And:

Then it's a problem with a fucked up individual, not with the culture. If that metaphorical person you described was fanatically devoted to say, Batman, he'd still be just as fucked up in the head but have a Batman themed masturbation chamber instead.

Christ, do you even logic?

DO YOU EVEN LOGIC, BRO?

Besides, the Rule 34 stuff is concerned with the characters, who, as I recall, are equivalent to young adults so they would be "of age." The sexualizing is done to the characters, not the target demographic. So basically, your argument falls flat since the target demographic means fuck all when it concerns the... more adult part of the fandom.

THEY'RE OF AGE, THEY CAN CONSENT, IT'S TOTALLY NORMAL.

This gets linked in SRD. Now the drama erupts further when NekoQT remarks:

It really is a fucking weird "culture"

SRD contemplates normalcy, whether furries should be an accepted part of society, and how MLP is a smarter show than other television shows.

Lots of intellectually stimulating and challenging material comes from stuff "made for kids". There are literally hundreds of examples of this. Just because it's "made for kids" doesn't mean it's dumbed down.

And you can't get an SRD thread without someone demanding sexual equality for weirdos:

Why is yiff so bad? Is this really that bad? Obviously there's the really shitty art, but I think this is very well-made.

And this is just fucking hot. But, I am bi, so.

Finally, that thread gets linked in TuRD.

Never could understand SRD's hard-on for bronies. I don't generally give a shit what TV shows you like or why, but the moment a grown-ass man (or woman!) starts collecting dolls, playing dress-up at conventions, and adopting the show as an integral part of their self-identity ... they're fucked a bit in the head.

If some 30 year old showed up dressed as, I dunno, Strawberry Damn Shortcake, and proceeded to drone on for the next twenty minutes about how meaningful the cartoon was and how important it was to them, wouldn't you think they were a bit strange?

There is, of course, limited drama in TuRD, but someone mentions:

I think it's a rape coping mechanism, instead of therapy, you watch cartoon horses behave like humans.

Which is worth a chuckle.

And now I've brought it to /r/drama. Enjoy.
