Mod Powertrip Drama!

1  2014-12-26 by [deleted]

Sorry about the wall of text! This Mods responses are so crazy! Maybe a bit of a powertrip? Some of the highlights! Sorry to say he did get me going a bit, still some interesting drama I think! Deleted my post because "I have the ability to delete posts, and you don't." When I asked to be unbanned "You're staying banned because you're a self-important prick." Mod for r/Warhammer: Darkjediben

Why was I banned?

[–] to /r/Warhammer/ sent 12 hours ago I am assuming it is for my last post. I thought it was on topic , since it was joke about modeling, and I cannot find where I have broken any rules. Even if I have broken a rule, what happen to three strikes. I have been a member of this subreddit for years and rarely post anything, but I do try to help out newbies to help grow our community. Go ahead and remove the post if you don't like it, but why the ban? permalinkreply

[–]from Darkjediben[M] via /r/Warhammer/ sent 6 hours ago First of all, it wasn't a joke. A joke is humorous, and has a punchline. What you did was make a reference. A lazy one at that. The lowest form of karmawhoring. Here are your three strikes. List which rules each one broke specifically, and then we can talk about unbanning you. http://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer/comments/1bhvwx/first_time_showing_off_my_work_berzerkers/ http://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer/comments/1epb67/gw_customer_service/ http://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer/comments/2qato5/40k_has_ruined_this_movie_for_me/ permalinkreportblock usermark unreadreply

[–]to Darkjediben[M] sent 3 hours ago I guess humor is in the eye of the beholder. Your definition of a punchline is a personal one. If I wanted to Karmawhore, I would go to a subreddit with much more subscribers. For each instance, please inform me of how I am breaking the rules and what I should have done differently. I do not know what rules I have broken, hence the original question. This is your lazy attempt to avoid the question, and I am not buying it. You are the mod, explain it to me. Why was I not informed when it happened? Could it be because you didn't have three strikes and now you are making it up? I am a large member of the gaming community and have been for sometime. Never have I ever met someone in this community that has approached a situation in this way. It is both distressing and disappointing that someone would act this way who is in charge of a valuable resource that belongs to the community. I am sure you will just ban me because I dare to speak this way to someone of your station, lol. Anyways, Merry Christmas. permalinkreply

[–]from Darkjediben[M] via /r/Warhammer/ sent 3 hours ago "Your definition of a punchline is a personal one." It's also the only one that matters, since I have the ability to delete posts, and you don't. "This is your lazy attempt to avoid the question" Funny, coming from the guy refusing to read and cite the rules, which is what we ask literally everybody to do to demonstrate that they read them. You ain't special, that's the boilerplate request everyone gets. In fact, it's so standard that it's actually mentioned in our rules post, which has been identical for 8 months, and has had that same policy for over a year now. "Why was I not informed when it happened?" See, this is why we asked you to tell us what rules you broke. Because it's the way we ensure that you actually read them. By asking this question, you reveal that you've never bothered to read the actual rules post. If you had read the rules post, you would have realized that it said We do not issue warnings on posts anymore. It's not our job to tell you the rule you broke, you need to read the rules and find out. So, if your post disappears off the subreddit mysteriously after an hour or so, no the Spam filter did not retroactively catch it, it got deleted. So no, it's not because I'm "Making three strikes up". I'd link you to a screenshot of the moderation log so you could see that the older posts weren't deleted recently if I gave a shit what you thought, but since you pulled the "I AM A LARGE MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY, DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!" schtick, I'm no longer inclined to give you the time of day. "you will just ban me because I dare to speak this way to someone of your station" No, I banned you because you broke the clearly stated and posted rules. You're staying banned because you're a self-important prick. Feel free to get the fuck over yourself and do the very simple thing that I asked you to do in the first place if you'd like to be un-banned, but I have a sneaking suspicion that you're the garden-variety napoleon-complected asshole who can't deal with the idea that they did anything wrong, so it'll be easier for you to get pissy and blame those evil mods than it will be for you to admit that you straight-up haven't read the rules. permalinkreportblock usermark unreadreply
