Mod wont rectify mistake to help my dying brother.

My brother has a few weeks left to live due to his cancer (more details can be provided through PM at which I can message you some posts that I've posted about it). My family is extremely poor and well into crippling debt and on r/Assistance I found someone who was in remission from their own cancer debacle and giving away a Amazon/Walmart giftcards. I asked the person for a small donation (of 10 dollars or so) and she asked for some proof, at which point I directly PMed her a picture of my brother's medical bills. Then she agreed to send me 10 dollars the next morning. I then was banned by /sueolson (http://www.reddit.com/user/sueolsen) for not providing "proof" of my brother's medical condition. http://tinypic.com/r/xni1k3/8 This was an understandable mistake because I had directly PMed the person instead of replying as a comment on her post. In addition, as result of this ban, the person who was going to help my brother retracted her offer because of this ban. She assume the worst as seen in this picture http://tinypic.com/r/2wm2pg4/8 (This picture also shows me showing proof. She then commented on her post rather than PM that she would be willing to help if I sent her my email which is why I PMed her that afterwards). http://tinypic.com/r/2f084f8/8 (She was confused on why I was banned and thought I was scamming her) Naturally, I immediately messaged the mods at r/Assistance that there was a misunderstanding and that I had PMed her the proof directly rather than replied on a post. I asked them to please just send her a simple message of WHY I was banned so that she could see it was a misunderstanding rather than believing I was a scammer. I even said that keeping the ban was fine because I am new to reddit and overlooked some of the rules when I posted. Additionally, I had already acquired $10 worth of donation and if I received another 10 like I was supposed to, I could easily make my dying brother's last weeks a little better with the meager $20. Since then, this mod has refused to even rectify his mistake and still thinks I'm trying to futilely lift a ban when I just want ONE simple message explaining that he had incorrectly assumed I did not send proof to her. http://tinypic.com/r/343rq5s/8

As a result, my younger brother is devastated and I have been messaging these mods for hours trying to explain that I just want one message rectifying their mistake.
