Why I think Victoria lost her job

After reading /u/kn0thing's response to the apology on /r/annoucements, there was an interesting bit of candor he said about the new direction that the higher-ups were taking with /r/IAmA: "With our announcement on Friday, we're phasing out our role being in-between interesting people and the reddit audience so that we can focus on helping remarkable people become redditors, not just stop by on a press tour. The responsibilities of our talent relations team going forward is about integrating celebrities, politicians, and noteworthy people as consistent posters (like Arnold, Snoop, or Bernie Sanders {EDIT: or Captain Kirk}) rather than one off occurrences. Instead of just working with them once a year to promote something via AMA, we want to be a resource to help them to actually join the reddit community"

When you take into account /u/chooter's reaction to her firing, the fact that she wasn't irate, sad, or retaliatory, indicates that her firing was sudden and unexpected. She didn't see it coming because she had good relations with her superiors and did not expect to lose her job. This means that whatever the events were that lead to her firing happened very, very recently, right before she was fired. I believe what happened was a couple of days before she was fired, one of her superiors informed her of the new direction that the higher-ups wanted to take with /r/IAmA. This new direction was a stupid fucking idea because it would essentially turn her job from the pleasant PR experiences she had with celebrities into an awkward-as-fuck indoctrination to the church of reddit. Instead of facilitating interviews with celebrities and world of reddit, she would be goading them into being redditors while she was preparing them for the interview. This would be a nightmare for a PR person because she would be forcing an agenda on the people being interviewed, instead of guiding these people through the interview process that they are already familiar and comfortable with. It was idiotic, so she voiced her objections and probably got into a heated debate with management. She knew she was right, probably made very good points and expected that they would agree with her and drop this stupid idea.

Instead, days later, they decided to fire her for because she dared to speak her mind. She was totally right, and if the admins have there way, they will almost certainly ruin /r/IAmA because they're idiots. They will probably never come to there senses because they are arrogant pricks and /u/chooter will never get her job back. I believe /u/chooter is actually quite fortunate to be fired, because as the admins keep making stupid-ass decisions and reddit goes down in flames, /u/chooter will have a new job with a new employer that will appreciate her wonderful talents. As Victoria rebounds and flourishes with her new job, Reddit will flounder and fall. In a couple of years, we will all be on Voat and Ellen Pao will be on welfare, I guarantee it.
