StackOverflow moderator abuse

9  2015-07-13 by cbasschan

I've been a participant on SO for years now. It's been helpful at times, but mostly I've been one of the ones doing the helping...

On occasions, I see a question closed that really shouldn't be, usually for a cop-out reason that doesn't make sense.

For example, this question was closed citing a duplicate question that doesn't actually duplicate the question, and this question was closed under the belief that no possible answer could be considered accurate, despite the accepted answer being well cited from academically-acceptable resources.

This thread is all about finding those dark secrets of StackOverflow, questions that shouldn't (or should... whatever) have been closed, and reopening them... with drama, of course! Post a link and vote to reopen two, if you can.
