Let's all welcome Reddit's newest employee, Mr. Luckie. He describes his new job as being a facilitator of conversations with Government Officials & Political Candidates.

Here are some interesting articles to get you started.

Mark has this to say about his new position at reddit as Head of Journalism and Media:

"This role also has a particular focus on politics and governmental organizations and did not exist previously," he said. "In my previous role, I focused almost exclusively on partnerships with news organizations. Now, I'll also be facilitating conversations with political candidates, government officials and more."

Luckie’s new role will entail working with media organizations, as well as government organizations, to understand how they’re currently using Reddit and what their needs are from the platform, Luckie told me. He’ll then take that feedback and build it into Reddit’s product, with the goal of making Reddit more accessible to a broader community of people.

In his new role, Luckie will work directly with media and government organizations to help them better understand how to leverage Reddit. Many are already using Reddit's popular Ask Me Anything feature, but Luckie will to start quantifying how they're using the service -- and how it could better serve their needs.
