The deaf community has a fallout with activist organization AGbell after they suggest that it isn't necessary to advocate for teaching deaf infants ASL.

The controversy started when some hot deaf guy made a statement about how accessibility to ASL should be necessary for young deaf kids.

An advocacy and information center for deaf folks shot back a reply stating that ASL stunts performance in children compared to listening and spoken language training.

Bad idea lol. As you might know, the deaf community is incredibly insular, proud, and well-defined, and ASL is a HUGE part of their culture. /r/deaf is very displeased; here are some of the links they've posted in response-
