The mods of the quarentined subreddit /r/european have decided to try to force the admins hand by creating an open alternative to /r/european while their subreddit /r/uncensorednews has roughly 10X its regular readers due to a Hillary Clinton story from there being on /r/all.

/r/uncensorednews was already their alternative to /r/european but it seems that is no longer enough. The subreddit has had a declining reader base from the original 300+ which stuck around after the initial migration to down to about 100 due to disagreements over the mods and their actions.

Currently the subreddit has 1,350 readers.

I see this as a giant experiment. I want to see what the reddit admins do. They want to pretend that a quarantine is not a ban. This will force them to show their hand.

Some months ago reddit administration decided to quarantine /r/european that was a free speech subreddit focused on European issues. Their explanation was: "Extremely offensive content". No communication from the administration has been received on what that "extremely offensive content was". Meanwhile subreddits such as /r/watchpeopledie etc. are allowed to exist. During this time we've tried to reach out to the administration time and time again to sort it out. After all they're pretending that the quarantine is not a ban.

As we cannot get an answer to any questions regarding the quarantine we asked what the rules are for starting out fresh. No answer to that either. The silence cannot be understood as anything but silent approval as it would only have taken one "no" to make the opposite clear.

Therefore we're back and we welcome you all to: https://np.reddit.com/r/evropean/

Enjoy!
