[BREAKING AUTISM] Dick Masterson is revealed by Maddox (what year is it?) to be a rape apologizing victim blamer. This could become the GG of obscure comedy podcasts.

The autism continues to boil up from under the surface as Maddox has finally broken his silence. The self-described "writer" posted an official recap of his decision to end The Biggest Problem in the Universe podcast on his website. Fans on reddit react in a thread here. This marks an important final milestone of his career as a N-list internet celeb. Recap provided by /u/SithisTheDreadFather:

Dick and Maddox did a podcast together for 2 years Called "The Biggest Problem in the Universe." Seemingly abruptly, Maddox and Dick "took a 2 week hiatus" after which Maddox released a final episode without Dick announcing that the podcast was cancelled. In this episode Maddox thanked every single person who worked on and helped out the podcast.... except his cohost Dick.

Of course fans flew into a fury wondering what happened. There of course was speculation that there was a falling out, but there were conspiracy theories that it was all a prank. Maddox had blatantly omitted Dick from his final episode thank yous. Here are what people on Twitter had to say the time of the fallout.

Maddox decided to release a new podcast (he has announced that he was starting a "podcast network" some time back) on the RSS feed that used to be designated for "The Biggest Problem." This meant that the first episode of his new podcast was automatically (or accidentally) downloaded on the devices of Biggest Problem subscribers thus artificially inflating his "listener" numbers. Fans were of course pissed that he had reused the feed and forced a download.

Maddox then deleted all the episodes of "The Biggest Problem" rendering them incapable of being deleted. Subscribers to the Biggest Problem were now subscribers to Maddox's new podcast involuntarily. Maddox said that it was to save money as he was paying for the feed and he wanted to re-purpose it. He didn't want to pay for a feed that was no longer generating him revenue. This of course angered the fans further. At some point Maddox even pulled down the website. Dick rehosted the website (because he was the webmaster) and the podcast so fans could enjoy it further.

Maddox and Dick both started new shows. They both set up Patreons. Maddox currently is raking in $371 dollars per month while Dick is scraping by at a measly $7,375 per month. Oh wait, I got those descriptors backwards.... Anyway, while the totals haven't been exactly the same as they are now, it's been true that the entire time Dick has been making many multiples more on Patreon than Maddox.

One one of the episodes of Dick's show (creatively named "The Dick Show"), Dick revealed that there actually was a fallout between the two of them. Maddox allegedly in an email stated that Dick had done something, but Maddox wouldn't reveal to protect Dick's "personal and professional reputation."

A bit of backtracking, on The Biggest Problem in the Universe, there were "bonus episodes" which people could subscribe to or purchase for a nominal fee. These episodes were of course bonus content called "The Biggest Solution in the Universe" where they took a different, opposite spin on issues within the same format. The fact of the matter is that these episodes cost extra money as the did not have advertisements. Recently, Maddox, without apparent consent with his cohost and business partner Dick, released all of the paid, premium content for free on SoundCloud, thus depriving Dick of any future revenue. They probably were not making that much money, but the fact of the matter is that according to Dick, Maddox did not fully own the rights to that content.

Dick then revealed that Maddox had been a huge controlling pain in the ass. Dick claims that the abrupt ending to the podcast was that Maddox had asked Dick to no longer participate.

If this seems biased towards "Dick's side," that's because Maddox has made few claims about what has and hasn't happened. Dick has been much more open about it on his podcast. Maddox's silence is, however, deafening. He continues to give the middle finger to his fans and his cohost by deleting the website, deleting the content, and then (apparently illegally) releasing premium content for free without consent. Maddox has not challenged any of Dick's claims as to what has happened. Perhaps this is a wise "do not engage and make it worse." That said, the fact that Dick is making nearly 20x the money that Maddox is per month for their weekly podcasts suggests that fan favor is not with Maddox.

tl;dr fuck /u/Maddoxreddit

The first major shots fired post-TBPITU were arguably fired by Dick. His veiny foreheaded rant about Maddox's selfish autistic scheming and lies can be heard here

Dick has Tweeted out that the libel against him has terminated his run in the UCB theater live show 'Tournament of Nerds' which is basically Who's Line for comics that are trying to make it. https://twitter.com/dickmasterson/status/780517270531379200

The newest episode of The Dick Show is due for release tomorrow, should be interesting to see how it goes.
