/r/kratom and the Mystery of the Spam Emails.

A few hours ago, an email was sent to members of /r/kratom alleging that a vendor called YourCleanLife was in partnership with two respected highly-respected vendors, Gaia Kratom and Herbal Salvation. People were puzzled because they only used their emails to order kratom, leading them to believe that the emails had been leaked or otherwise taken through nefarious actions. Some threads on the matter:

-Herbal Salvation weighs in

-YourCleanLife claims they didn't have anything to do with it

A user came forward to allege that he was the culprit, scraping emails from reddit, facebook, and other forums in order to draw customers to YourCleanLife. While the user alleges that the vendors never leaked anything and that YCL wasn't responsible for the scope of the spam, /r/kratom remains skeptical (and angry) as users allege that they've never used their emails on social media websites.

So who sent the email, and where did they get the email addresses? Were they scraped off of websites, given/sold by a vendor(s), or obtained through hacking? How is YourCleanLife involved? For now it remains a mystery.
