Alberta has a rancher notorious for spamming websites and job boards offering free room and board in return for work before becoming increasingly weird and hostile and not returning on his promises. Much speculation has gone into what his motives are and whether or not he's a murderer, which would seem like the usual case of people weaving tales about a lonely, eccentric country man if the rancher didn't have a history of luring prostitutes to his farm with ads and strangling them. Unfortunately most to all of the ads he's taken out seem to be lost, but there's a lot of interesting (not very dramatic but whatever) speculation over what this guy's motives are and whether or not he's a serial killer.
