Shawn Farquhar is a magician who appeared on Penn and Teller's "Fooled Us", successfully fooling them twice.

His first time fooling them was with a trick that involved putting a signed card back in a sealed deck, in order. Youtube

On forum Theory11, user Suxx88 appears to successful replicate the trick and wants to know if he can publish it/sell it/etc. The ambiguity comes Shawn (and someone named Cyril who maybe "stole" it from Shawn) doing the trick for a while, but not publishing it themselves yet. After being told to email Shawn, Shawn himself steps in (user "itsmyjob") and publicizes the private messages between him and Suxx88. People lose their minds, making both parties look stupid. Theory11 page 2.

Then, 2 years later, user "russstevens" necroposts how Shawn is hypocritical and links to ANOTHER magic forum with drama, as well as a different comedian calling out Shawn for stealing an act. MagicCafe 2011 forum post The video

Apparently Shawn and magician Russ Stevens have an act where they do card tricks to Sting's "Shape of my Heart", except Russ did it years prior. In 2009, Russ posts a HUGE post about Shawn accused him of stealing, then claimed independent conception, then won Best Magician Eva for 2009 with the act. MagicCafe 2009
